"I didn't care," Li Wei replied, stepping closer despite the danger. "I'm not leaving. Not now. Not ever."
Kai's guard dropped, ever so slightly. "Li Wei… there are things you need to know. About me. About Silver Tower. About why Tang Lei…"
Before he could finish, Chen appeared, pulling them into the shadows. "No time. Tang Lei's men are closing in. You two need to disappear, fast."
Li Wei felt the weight of the revelation pressing down on him. Kai's life, Silver Tower, his own fate—they were entwined in ways he couldn't yet understand.
