Sunlight hit eyes of Link. He was in soft bed. Room smelled of pine and cold fur. This was not King's Landing. Air was too crisp. Too clean. He tried to sit up. Body felt heavy. Pain in ribs was now just dull ache.
[Status Alert: Consciousness Restored]
[Health 85%]
[Mental Fatigue 10%]
[New Title: Shadow of Kingmaker]
"You finally woke up," voice said.
Link turned head. Ned Stark sat by fire. Lord of Winterfell looked tired but relieved.
"Where am I?" Link asked. His voice was scratchy and dry.
"Winterfell," Ned replied while standing. He brought cup of water to bed. "Robert insisted on bringing you north. He said he would not leave savior of his crown in city of snakes."
Link drank. Water was cold as ice. "And King?"
"Robert is in Great Hall," Ned said. "He is preparing. He kept his word. Cersei is at Casterly Rock. She is under house arrest. Her power is gone. Jaime is here too. He leads vanguard of Lannister men. They are heading to Wall."
Link felt weight lift from chest. "Then world is safe?"
Ned shook head. "War in south is paused. But war in north has begun. Benjen sent raven. Night's Watch is thin. Things are moving in dark. Robert wants you to lead scout party."
Link looked at his hands. They were steady. "I am ready."
[Quest Updated: Edge of Winter]
[Objective: Scout Haunted Forest]
Door opened. Jaime Lannister entered. He wore black wool and leather. Golden lion was still on his chest but it was covered in frost.
"The sleeper lives," Jaime said. He looked at Link with respect. "King wants us to move out by noon. White Walkers do not wait for late sleepers."
[Status: Loyalty of Jaime Lannister Secured]
[Status: Northern Alliance Formed]
Link stood up. He felt System humming. It was ready. He looked at Jaime. "Then we go to Wall."
