The flashlights were unending and blinding, belittling Rosa's attempt to shield her face. The speed of shutter clicks mirrored the speed of her heart pounding in her chest. The voices of the reporters kept resounding in her ears and she bets they'd keep haunting her even in her dreams.
"Dr. Rosa, do you accept the allegations of post-operative negligence?"
"Could you give us reasons why your medical license shouldn't be seized, Ma'am?"
"Dr. Wilhelm, do you regret your actions?"
She kept walking. Heads down, her eyes watching the way her feet moved with each step. All her years of toil and sweat were all forgotten.
