Kaelen slammed his dagger into the main valve.
"If you want to play with energy, Alaric, try this!"
The pipe burst, spraying scalding steam into the room. The mist instantly blinded Alaric's mechanical eye and disrupted the thermal sensors in his arm. Kaelen moved in the fog, his "blind sight" training taking over. He could see the glowing blue heart of Alaric's arm.
He lunged, not with a strike, but with a calculated jab into the arm's pressure seal—a weakness he'd spotted in the gears.
The arm hissed. The blue light flickered. Alaric roared in pain as the Aetheria began to leak, burning his own flesh.
"You... little rat!" Alaric swung blindly. Kaelen ducked, sliced the man's hamstrings, and ended it with a clean strike to the base of the skull.
The Lord of Oakhaven fell, his mechanical arm still sparking.
