The last thing Kang Iseon remembered was the sound of rain against his window.

His phone screen glowed faintly in the darkness, displaying the final chapter of The System at the End of the Guild Era. He had reread the novel so many times that he knew every major event by heart the fall of the Iron Guild, the failed rebellion of the mage towers, the first steam engine igniting the world's future.

And the death of its most insignificant character.

"Hah… if I were there," Iseon muttered, eyes heavy, "I wouldn't let it end like that."

Thunder rolled.

A sharp pain tore through his chest.

Darkness swallowed the room.

Cold.

That was the first sensation he felt when he opened his eyes again.

A heavy scent of iron, oil, and damp stone filled his lungs. The ceiling above him was unfamiliar wooden beams blackened by age, faintly trembling as if the building itself were breathing.

"This… isn't my room."

His voice came out hoarse. Too young.

He tried to sit up, only to feel a wave of dizziness crash over him. Memories not his own poured into his mind like a broken dam.

A noble house in decline.Guild contracts strangling the economy.Magic monopolized by aging elites.A kingdom rotting beneath tradition.

Kang Iseon froze.

"No way…"

He stumbled to a cracked mirror resting against the wall. Reflected back at him was a boy no older than sixteen, silver-gray eyes staring in disbelief.

"This is… the novel."

Not just any part of it.

The end.

The final years of the guild era right before factories rose, before steam drowned magic, before the world burned itself clean in progress.

His heart pounded.

Then

[System Initializing…]

The air in front of him shimmered, blue light forming words only he could see.

[Age Transition System (A.T.S) Activated][Objective: Guide the world safely into the next era][Failure Condition: Total societal collapse]

Iseon swallowed.

"…You've got to be kidding me."

In the novel, this period was chaos. Guilds abolished overnight. Nobles executed. Cities starving. Millions dead before the new era stabilized.

And now

He was inside it.

The System flickered once more.

[Welcome, Administrator Kang Iseon][The old world is ending.][Will you preserve it… or replace it?]

Iseon clenched his fists.

He knew this story.

He knew how badly it ended.

Then he smiled slow, determined.

"If this world is going to change," he said quietly, "then I'll be the one who decides how."

Outside, somewhere in the city, a bell rang the signal of a guild council gathering.

The last one.

And with it, the first step toward a new era.
