Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 - Arcturus

We became classmates in college. Both of us studying to become future physicians. She dyed her hair,

Put some makeup although she shouldn't need to.

Carried laptop around, along with a lot of books too.

She smiled less, but I gradually talked to her more .

She doesn't drink coffee though she likes tea and hot chocolate.

Dark circles began to appear under her eyes at this point and I saw her sleep at the library more often.

I managed to talk to her often until I got the courage to seat down next to her in one class. After that, we are seatmates almost daily.

Being seatmates, I brought her sometimes some snacks. I noticed she lost a lot of weight.

I let her sleep in some of the lectures, woke her up whenever class ended,

Let her borrow my notes and helped her carry her books.

One time I asked her why she always carries a lot of books, and she told me that she's always afraid she might forget a homework or to study for an exam.

I made sure she doesn't skip eating her meals. I may have not much money but I tried to buy her food on most days. She made me meals on some days which I found surprisingly good. I noticed she loves to cook chicken a lot and doesn't cook seafood at all. I asked her about that and it turns out she hated fish though she loves sushi a lot.

....

Since I got the highest grades, I was given more opportunities like getting a part time job as being a professor's assistant, being a student council officer and being offered several scholarships which helped a lot with my current financial situation. My father at this time became sick and had to stop work while my mother had to work part time instead of being full time in order to take care of my father . As much as I want to spend more time with her, my time being with her slowly became less and soon, we were having less classes together.

....

I didn't notice that we haven't seen each other for several months that I was surprised to see her cut her hair short.

She looked tired,

Pale,

Skinnier,

Unhappy.

....

I overheard that she had another boyfriend.

....

I saw her at the campus coffee shop.

She wore eyeglasses that complimented her face.

She wore makeup.

She curled her hair.

She wore jewelry. I didn't know when she started wearing it. She used to hate wearing jewelry.

She still carried around books, but a lot less than before.

She smiled.

But not to me.

....

We didn't have any classes together anymore.

....

I didn't saw her anymore at the library.

Rather, I didn't saw her anymore.

I heard she moved.

I didn't even asked for her new number.

I didn't even talked to her before she went away.

I wished I had.

I wished I had asked where she was moving.

I wished I talked to her more.
