Seeing Asifa asleep beside him, Hasan fell silent for a moment. Her split lip and swollen cheek brought back fragments of last night's events piecing themselves together in his mind. The headache, combined with these memories, troubled him further. đ”
He sat up on the bed, rubbing his temples. "How much did I drink last nightâŠ" he muttered to himself. Meanwhile, Asifa slowly opened her eyes. Seeing Hasan awake, she quickly got up from the bed and looked at him.
"Good morning, baby⊠are you okay now?" she asked in a calm voice. đ
Hasan said nothing, merely glancing at her for a brief moment. Though he felt no remorse for what he had done, the fear of his plans unraveling still lingered in his mind.
"I have a bit of a headache⊠make some coffee," he said curtly. â
Asifa nodded her head in agreement without any questions. She got out of bed and went to the small coffee machine, thinking that pleasing him was her responsibility. While preparing the coffee, her mind was filled with thoughts of last night's slap, the pain, and above all, the realization that she couldn't imagine a life without Hasan.
Meanwhile, Hasan picked up his phone to check for any messages. When the screen lit up, he saw a good morning message from Anisa.
"Good morning, Hasan⊠yesterday was really nice đ"
A small smile appeared on his face as he read it. That smile held not affection, but only satisfaction that his plan was progressing successfully.
"Until this is over, I have to act wellâŠ" Hasan decided in his mind as he placed the phone back on the table. đ
Later, seeing Asifa approaching him, he looked at her with a mix of necessity and displeasure. After taking the coffee she offered, he began sipping it while contemplating his next steps.
