The two of them sat observing each other's eyes for a moment. The sky was tinted orange, and the sun was beginning to dip into the ocean waves. Anisa could sense Hasan leaning in closer towards her. "Is he going to kiss me?" she wondered, her heart warming, her eyes closing naturally. š
Just as their breaths were about to mingle, Hasan's phone rang. He straightened up on the bench, pulled the phone from his pocket, and Anisa watched as she opened her eyes. When the name "Baby ā¤" appeared on the screen, they both looked at it. Hasan showed a slight sign of panic upon seeing it, but turned the phone off and put it back in his pocket.
Anisa thought intensely, "Who is that?" Gathering her courage, she asked Hasan, "Who was calling, Hasan?" š
"Ahā¦ it's from home," he said calmly, showing a bit of embarrassment.
"I sawā¦it said 'Baby'ā¦" she said in a slightly lower voice.
"Ahā¦ that's how I have my mom saved," Hasan said with a smile. š
Anisa thought to herself how much he must love his mom.
Before darkness fell, the two bid each other goodbye, holding hopes in their hearts to meet again, and parted ways. š£
