"Anisa, you said you were working, so you didn't come to see us for Christmas. I'm very happy you came this time… I even made your favorite dishes," her mother said, looking at her with a warm smile. ☺
"Ah… see? Now all that matters to mom is her eldest daughter," Kirana chimed in, feigning jealousy. 😉
"Come on, don't argue. I love both of you," their mother said, embracing them both, her heart overflowing.
In the living room, her father came and sat opposite Anisa. Kirana excused herself, saying she had errands, and left the house. Once she was gone, her father looked at Anisa and spoke. 😎
"Why did you need me to come so urgently, dad ?" Anisa asked, curious. 🤔
"There's something important, daughter. Your mother and I need to talk to you," he said calmly.
"What is it,dad? Is something wrong?" Anisa asked, a hint of anxiety creeping in. 🙄
"No, dear. It's a decision we've made for you. You've been living alone in loneliness for nearly three years since Zayan passed away," her mother began.
"Hmm… so what's the decision?" Anisa inquired. 😕
"Daughter, even though you are a widow, you are still young. You're only 36. So, we've looked into a good, suitable marriage proposal for you," her father concluded.
"A marriage?!" Anisa repeated, looking at her parents in disbelief. 😲
