As the wedding festivities wound down, guests mingled and chatted. From a distance, Anisa spotted a familiar face. "Is that him?" she wondered, surprised. She walked over and tapped him gently on the shoulder from behind. He turned around. 🙄

He was equally shocked to see her,his mind momentarily reeling at the improbable encounter. He steadied his voice. "What are you doing here? Are you following me now to get back at me?"
"No, I was about to ask you the same," she replied. "I'm here for my friend Fathima's wedding." 😑
"Your friend... so she's the bride?" he asked, piecing it together.
"Yes, we've been friends since we were children," Anisa confirmed. 🤔
"Alright. I'm here for my friend Mohammed's wedding day. So, you're on the bride's side, I'm on the groom's," he explained.
"I see. But how do you know the groom?" she pressed. 🗣
"We studied together at the same medical college," he said. A faint, weary smile touched his lips. "It seems we're not meant to know each other. Maybe it's better that way."
"Maybe it is," Anisa agreed quietly. "But every time I see you, it brings back painful memories." 💣
"Do you think it's any different for me?" Yugh countered, his voice low. "Fate seems determined to throw us together, again and again. We're both standing in the middle of a fire..."
Soon after, they parted ways quickly, Yugh to join Mohammed in celebration, Anisa to offer her final congratulations to Fathima each retreating from the unexpected spark of their shared, smoldering grief. 🔥
