The Senju, Uchiha, and Hyuga clans are the largest clans in the Leaf Village, far superior to other medium-sized clans like Nara, Yamanaka, Akimichi, Inuzuka, Aburame, and Kurama with their secret Jutsus.
Although the Sarutobi clan had no secret jutsus, they were now on their way to becoming a great clan because the Hokage was from the Sarutobi clan.
Of course, the other clans knew this and had mixed reactions towards the Sarutobi clan, forming 3 factions within the village.
The Inuzuka, Aburame, and others are neutral.
The Nara, Yamanaka, and Akimichi clans allied themselves with the Sarutobi clan to advance in the village.
And the last faction that opposed the Hokage were the Uchiha and Hyuga clans.
But since these clans were not allies, they did not represent much of a danger.
Many would say that the Senju clan was an ally of the Hokage, but that was not true.
