As we all were left there were 14 people left. "Thank you now all twelve of you have won and you shall enter a tournament. We shall give you three days to prepare." Gin said with a smile. Three days.
"Okay dismissed." Edward said with a smile at Charles. The ones who left were.
Charles.
Gabriel.
Mary O'bell.
Niuhi Jaws.
Milla Calamitias.
Pluto Hades.
Abel Adam.
Virgo Starling.
Leo Starling.
Flamebe.
Racheal Murat.
Nikki Rivers.
Two more that I don't recognize. It was strange. They felt strong. They seemed to be happy. "Thank you all for making this far." Gin said with a smile. As Charles walks to Gabriel and that annoying cat.
"How are you doing?" Charles asked.
"The House of Evolution attacked me. How about you?" Gabriel said.
"Yeah same." Charles spoke, a small frown creased his lips.
"Now we have 7 Asura Fingers." Gabriel said with a small frown. That means we are almost at Ten.
"How many Shadows have you tamed?" Charles asked. Looking happy now.
"Five of them. Sköll & Hati, Sleipnir, Hel, Narfi, Jörmungander." Gabriel said.
"That good progress you're half way there." Charles said. As we heard purring.
"Hello Charles." Neko said. She was in the middle of cleaning herself.
"Greeting Neko." Charles said with a polite bow. This damn cat. The white cat seemed to have silky fur. Her arrogant look in her eyes.
"Well we should be off." Gabriel said as they started walking off. Charles had a small smile on his face. As we all walked off.
"Maybe Seris will be happy about our progress." Charles said.
"Since when did impressing Seris become important." I asked.
"It's to keep him off my back." Charles said. Letting out a sigh.
"Just like a brother." I said without thinking. I instantly regretted the choice of words.
"Yeah." Charles said. Good it seems that he did not read into it too much. As we managed to get into the city. Without much trouble.
"What are your plans?" I asked.
"Okay. Now I just need to get home." Charles said his voice was lazy. But his eyes were razor sharp. As we stand in front of the apparent complex. As Charles walks to the elevator he pushes into the basement. The elevator door opened showing Seris in the room holding a katana it was in its sheathe. He seemed to be waiting. A smile on his face.
"You passed." Seris said with a smile.
"That I did." Charles said with a small smile on his face. As he pulls out Jackal and Ivory from his holster. I flew to the side waiting for the match to start. As Charles pulled the trigger. As Seris appeared right behind Charles. A second later. Seeing Charles arms were broken, also his legs.
"Still you have so much room to grow." Seris said, patting Charles' head slowly. He slowly walked out of the room. The elevator door snapped shut.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles said as he heals. His bones snapped back into their places. Charles had a faint frown on his face.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Well it was that I have so much to grow might as well start by turning that cube into an orb." Charles said pointing at the cube. As he walks to a different side of it. He punched one of the top corners. The small piece fell to the ground. That was shocking.
"Well it seems that you have grown." I said as he nodded as he struck another piece it fell to the ground, clattering on the ground. As he struck it again it cracked. Charles sighed.
"Adamantine will get tougher the more it gets hit." I said it was a living metal. Darkblood, Night Hunger, Phlegethon were all pure Adamantine; they were ultimate swords. The only one that I would even consider sharper is Yamato Asura's main sword. Because of its special powers over space-time. The other was Aether because of its use of Starlight.
"Yeah forget about how tough Adamantine is." Charles said as he punched it again. As the piece fell off. Clattering to the floor.
"It will get tougher." I told him as he punched it again. As a small crack appeared on it. He punched it again. This time the crack spread.
"I know." Charles spoke through gritted teeth. As he punched the cube again. The fragment fell off to the ground. Once again he punched the cube. Blood poured from his fist. Again he punched it blood rushed from the other fist.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles said as his wounds closed. Again he punched the cube that seemed to have a small crack. Blood poured into the crack and it seemed to heal itself. What was happening.
"Looks like it healed itself using your blood." I said looking at Charles with surprise.
"The effect of Bronze. Bronze was a Chaos Energy inhibitor used against mages and some Demons. It was the favoured metal of Blood Demons." I told him. He nodded. Charles punched it again. Again. Again. Again. It was in rapid succession. Seeming to do nothing. But restore the cracks in it. Blood flooded down off of Charles knuckles. Charles snarled at the cube. As he left to the surface.
"Where are we going?" I asked landing on his shoulder before the elevator door shut with a soft click. His eyes were distant.
"To learn." Charles said. His voice was almost a whisper. As he shook his head. Then the elevator opened. He walked out. As he got outside of the city and continued to walk. There was no way.
"Why are we heading back to the manor?" I asked. It was surprising to see him go back to manor. As we pushed open the first gate of the Pendragon manor. It opened easily. Ghouls hide in the shadow of the massive trees, their eyes glowed but their body hidden. As we walked up to the front gate. Pushing it. The ancient door creaked and groaned but it opened. Slowly as if it was trying to resist. But now we walked through. The second we were through the gate. The gate as if alive shut like the jaws of a beast. A maid was standing there. A Vampire.
"How may I help you young master?" The maid asked as she bowed low.
"Take me to Apollo." Charles said with a polite bow. The maid seemed shocked. Charles rarely talks to his siblings much less seeks them out. They find him.
"Of course." The maid started to lead the way.
"My son, why have you not come to say hi?" A question asked. Both Charles and the maid froze.
"Hello mother." Charles said. As he turns around. It was Athena. Brother second oldest wife. The mother of Apollo, Hera and Persephone.
"My boy you don't need to be so formal." Athena said. Taking a step closer.
"I am sorry mother." Charles said. He said, closing his eyes. He calls Carmilla Von Pendragon matriarch since she is only seconded by Sebastian. He shows great respect for her. Even though she wants him to call him mom. Athena is in the middle of the pack. Called mother and they do take time from time to time. The most involved is Mina Pendragon, mother of Micheal and Marinette.
"Just call me mom." Athena said with a long sigh. As Charles slowly shook his head.
"Do you know where Apollo is?" Charles asked. Athena smiled.
"Yes I do, let me lead you." Athena said with happiness in her voice.
"Thank you. Mother." Charles said with a toothy smile. As she walked in front of Charles.
"Why are you going to Apollo?" Athena questioned.
"I need some training in hand to hand combat." Charles answered. Apollo out of his siblings was probably the best hand to hand fighter.
"That makes sense. I hope you have fun. If you hurt after you match then you can always snuggle with me after." Athena said.
"Thanks for the offer but it will be unneeded." Charles gently rejected. As then we took a sharp turn.
"So have you met someone interesting?" Athena asked. Her glowing ruby eyes looked at Charles.
"Yeah I've been making friends." Charles said. I could feel his muscles tense but they did not move. I felt appreciative snuggling into his lower jaw.
"Thank you." I said.
"I remember don't shrug my shoulders well you're on it." Charles said.
"Well it seems like you two are getting better at communicating." Athena said. I swear I heard jealousy in her voice. As then we stopped at a door with a sun on it. Athena knocked.
"Yes Mom?" Apollo called.
"You have a guest." Athena shouted at the door.
"I don't feel like having a guest." Apollo shouted through the door.
"Well then I'll find someone else." Charles said. As he turns to leave. But Apollo quickly appeared at the door without a shirt.
"I am willing Char!" Apollo seemed so happy. He basically teleported to his side.
"Well then walk and talk with me." Charles said. As he starts to walk beside Charles.
"I mean as much as I like you visiting me out of nowhere…" Apollo trailed off.
"I need you to help me with hand to hand combat." Charles said bluntly.
"That's something I can do." Apollo said with a huge smile on his face. His fangs were on full display. As they continued walking. They were heading to the first tower. Those two finally got there. As I sat on a bench. Seeing the two standing on opposite sides.
"We can begin." Charles said with a smile. Then suddenly Apollo appeared in front of Charles. Apollo hit Charles in the stomach, staggering him. Apollo followed up with an elbow to the face. Apollo grabbed both his shoulders. Kneeing him in the throat. Grabbing Charles by the throat. Then throwing him into the wall. Apollo had a creepy smile on his face.
"Get up my dear younger brother." Apollo said. As Charles got up. A fire in his eyes. Charging at him. Apollo deflected Charles' punch then he tripped Charles in a fluid motion. Charles fell on his face.
"I am not giving up." Charles snarls. As Apollo kicked Charles in the gut sending him smashing into the wall. Charles got back up dusting himself off.
"Use your Chaos Energy around your Fist harden it." Apollo said. Charles' grin turned bloodthirsty. His eyes turned yellow. Before returning back to normal. Apollo appeared in front of Charles. Charles grabs Apollo fist but he is then punched by Apollo with another hand. Losing Charles grip on his other fist. Apollo followed up with a hit to the abdomen. Then he stomped on Charles' knee forcing him to his knees. To knock him back to his feet using a knee to the throat.
"Okay, that's brutal." Nikki said.
"You're the one who taught him how to fight." I said. Nile took Apollo under his wing. I heard his training was brutal. As we went back to watch the fight. Seeing Charles was being beaten black and blue. Apollo seemed to be getting faster.
"Hey!" Nikki called as Apollo stopped beating him.
"What?" Apollo asked. His voice was already dripping with venom. Great.
"It's my turn with him." Nikki said with a glare. Apollo let out a low growl.
"Nikki, you don't need to worry about me." Charles said as he got up.
"See you don't need to worry." Apollo said, taunting Nikki. Why does your pride have to wake up now Charles. Nikki walked away sitting next to me. With a huff. Apollo turned and punched Charles up into the air. Then following up with fist to Charles' chest. Knocking him to the ground. Apollo jumped back. Charles got up off his back. His eyes once again flashed yellow. Before Charles forced them back into the blue.
"Let's begin again. Sorry for worrying you." Charles said to Apollo. Apollo's assault began in an instant. Charles managed to block the first hit. But then got barely able to block a knee from Apollo. Then Apollo was able to kick Charles' knee. Then Apollo slammed his fist into Charles face. Knocking him to the ground. Charles quickly got back up.
"Good to see that you're up again." Apollo walked to the other side of the room.
"Okay Apollo. We can begin again." Charles said. As in a mere second. Apollo closed the distance. Landing seven hits. Charles was able block three of them. Charles goes for a punch. Apollo was able to weave past the punch. Then Apollo punched Charles in the gut. Charles' eyes transformed into yellow. As Charles punched Apollo in the throat.
"You okay?" Apollo asked.
"I will be fine." Charles said. Looking at Apollo he had a smile as Charles punched Apollo in the face. Knocking him to the ground.
"Damn you got to hit me that hard?" Apollo said.
"Sorry about that." Charles spoke.
