Chapter 2 - Awakening

Well, let's jump into the cultivation world now. The 5 wishes have been granted by the mysterious red-haired man, let's call him god, and the MC was reincarnated into this new realm of martial arts and immortality, although not with his memory right away upon birth.

His memory would awaken later on in his life when the time was right, so in the cultivation world, in a small, humble village called Lue village, under the lordship of the Lue family, the only cultivators of the village with an expert at level 4 Martial Apprentice and the ruling power that protected the common people from bandits and beasts.

Red hair was rare in this village, practically nonexistent among the common bloodlines that had lived here for generations, but there was one kid with red hair that burned like flames in the sunlight, and his name was Yuan Long.

He easily stood out in the anxious crowd of villagers who stood before the massive pillar that had been erected in the village square, his unusual appearance drawing eyes from all directions, for today was the momentous day the Unbreakable Iron Sect was recruiting disciples from the surrounding territories.

Anyone below the age of 20 years of age was able to go up on stage, place their palm on the martial spirit awakening crystal, and discover their fate. This would determine their talent level and their future prospects, for the more stars a martial spirit had when it manifested, the more talented one was considered to be in the eyes of the cultivation world.

To enter the sect and begin the path of cultivation, one needed at least a 3-star martial spirit as the bare minimum requirement, which everyone gathered here was struggling to meet, their faces pale with anxiety and fear of failure, as most people couldn't even awaken a martial spirit at all and would remain mortals forever, and those fortunate few who could awaken one typically had only a 1-star martial spirit at best, and rarely, very rarely, 2 stars if they were blessed by the heavens.

"Watch this?" A black-haired girl said with a confident grin to Yuan Long, her teeth showing as she smiled widely with anticipation. Yuan Long nodded towards her with a supportive smile and watched carefully as she went on stage with bold, energetic steps, whereupon she first signed her name in the thick registry book with practiced strokes and went on to place her small palm upon the glowing crystal with confidence that belied her young age.

She awakened her martial spirit in a flash of brilliant light, the 5-star martial spirit manifesting above her head, the Frost Sword materializing in all its glory, a rare and powerful martial spirit that was almost unheard of in these remote regions, which shocked the elder so profoundly that his jaw dropped open in disbelief.

"Little girl, what's your name?" The elder asked with bright eyes that practically shone with excitement and barely concealed greed at discovering such a gem. Lue Lu had, of course, said her name before she touched the crystal, as was standard procedure for the registration process.

"I'm Lue Lu." Lue Lu said with a proud puff of her chest, standing tall despite her small stature. She was only 10 years old, similar to Yuan Long in age and height. Since the sect took in disciples once every 10 years during their recruitment tours of the outer regions, she had to wait until now to go through this life-changing trial, as the last time they were here recruiting in this area, she was but a baby still nursing at her mother's breast.

"Good, Good, stand by me." The elder said enthusiastically, practically beaming as he looked at her as if he had discovered a priceless treasure that would bring him great merit and rewards, for even within the prestigious sect with its thousands of disciples, a talent like hers was rare and valuable beyond comprehension.

Lue Lu nodded obediently with a satisfied smile playing on her lips and stood by him as instructed, and watched Yuan Long with curious eyes, who walked onto the wooden stage next with calm, steps that showed no nervousness.

"Yuan Long?" The Elder had several sect disciples who were with him to help out with the tedious recruitment process and handle the paperwork, and upon seeing the unusual name that was written in the registry with clear strokes.

The sect disciple couldn't help but voice the name aloud with confusion in his tone, drawing those who didn't know Yuan Long personally to look at him with a weird look on their faces, their expressions ranging from curiosity to confusion at why anyone would give their child such a mighty name like that.

For Yuan Long was a powerful name, one that carried weight and arrogance in the cultivation world, which meant primordial dragon… what mortal dared to name their child such a presumptuous name?

Instantly, everyone shot Yuan Long narrow gazes filled with disdain, some snorting audibly in contempt, while others exchanged meaningful glances, already planning to teach him a lesson for his family's arrogance.

Yuan Long sighed heavily at all of this, his shoulders slumping slightly. For as long as he could recall, his name had done nothing but bring him trouble and unwanted attention. Sighing again, he placed his palm on the smooth surface of the crystal… and nothing happened.

This shocked Yuan Long, his eyes widening as he stared at the unresponsive crystal. He removed and placed his palm on the crystal again with more pressure, hoping desperately it would change… but nothing happened.

He sighed deeply for a moment before looking towards Lue Lu, their eyes meeting across the stage. They had promised to become powerful immortals whose name would spread all throughout the region and beyond, reaching even the legendary central provinces. But by the looks of things, judging from the dead crystal before him, she would have to go about her dream all by herself.

Before Lue Lu could say anything, her mouth opening to protest, the elder had Yuan Long get off the stage with a dismissive wave of his hand.

"Lue Lu, you shouldn't befriend him; it would only hinder your future. At times, the best thing you can do for them is to say goodbye, for staying with him would build jealousy, and other such negative emotions." The elder said, looking at Lue Lu with stern eyes that brooked no argument, who pouted unwillingly, her lips pressing together, but she could do nothing but nod reluctantly, not wanting the elder to keep talking and lecturing her further.

Meanwhile, Yuan Long returned home through the familiar dirt paths, not liking how everyone was looking at him with that mocking look plastered across their faces. His name truly had brought him a lot of trouble over the years, so he headed back home with quick steps, where he headed to the backyard, where his uncle normally was tending to the small pond… but he was nowhere to be found. Instead, he found a letter resting on the rock that overlooked the pond

"Your name is Yuan Long." Yuan Long read aloud with a blank look, his voice flat and emotionless. This was all his uncle had to say before he up and disappeared without a trace? He sighed while sitting down heavily on the rock, rubbing his chest with a frown as an uncomfortable sensation grew.

Ever since he touched that crystal, he had felt something strange enter his body, and it had still not left his body, lingering somewhere inside.

If he were to have stayed in the center of the village, he would have known chaos had exploded over there since the crystal had suddenly cracked after the next person went up on stage, the fractures spreading like spider webs, making everyone believe that person was so talented that the crystal had simply cracked, unable to properly awaken his martial spirit.

Yuan Long tried to breathe deeply, rubbing his chest harder, which was getting more and more uncomfortable with each passing moment, the sensation intensifying.

[Omni System online… restoring host memory.] He suddenly heard a voice in his head, clear and mechanical, and before he could react or process what was happening, he froze completely as a memory from a past life hit him like a crashing wave. He sat there motionless for a good few seconds before frowning deeply.

'What a pain, a simple name is making people my enemy.' He thought with growing annoyance, frustrated with this cultivation novel nonsense that seemed to govern every aspect of life here. One small thing explodes into another big problem, then that massive issue snowballs into another big thing, and so on in what seemed like an endless, exhausting cycle. Sighing deeply, he summoned his status window with a mental command, the translucent screen materializing before his eyes in the air.

[Name: Yuan long

Age: 10 years old

Race: Human

Bloodlines: [The Warp Sovereign Bloodline (Locked)], [Primordial Dragon Bloodline (Unawakened)]

Martial Spirit: Unawakened

Cultivation arts: [The Warp Sovereign Cultivation Art]

Cultivation Realm: none

Combat Power: Mortal

Abilities: Endless Potential, Omni System, 10,000x,

Items: [Star Pack]

This here was everything he wished for during that strange meeting, his Warp Sovereign Bloodline sitting at the very top of the list. He had wanted the bloodline to come with the cultivation art as a package deal, but he had to use another wish on that, spending one of his precious five wishes separately. The second was an ability called Endless Potential, the third was an Omni system, and lastly, his 10,000x multiplier.

[10,000x] This ability multiplies the benefit gains by 10,000x. Not that the value of everything gained would not be increased by 10,000 times uniformly, as that could increase or decrease depending on what was being affected.

For example, abilities could be 10,000 times more powerful or as low as twice as strong, depending on the ability. But Martial arts and cultivation arts and such things would evolve and transcend their original forms entirely. Picture yourself in a timeless room given eternity to evolve those martial arts and cultivation arts, refining and perfecting them, making them infinitely more powerful.

When training, the value would always be 10,000 times greater than normal. For example, 1 push-up would equal 10,000 push-ups in terms of the gains received without the drawbacks of doing 10,000 push-ups, such as exhaustion or torn muscles. Cultivation speed is increased by 10,000 times, along with comprehension speed being multiplied by the same amount.

Rewards gained by the system are also affected by this multiplier.

[Endless Potential] This is a unique ability you created. You have endless potential that stretches infinitely and endlessly, and with that comes the talent that reflects it in every way.

Your mind has no time constraints, meaning anything that you would comprehend given enough time shall instantly be comprehended the moment you encounter it, and even improved upon beyond the original.

You adapt to things constantly, not adapt in the sense that you develop the ability to grow immune to things through exposure, but adapt in the sense that your martial arts could change and shift to better suit what you need at any moment, or even create new martial arts from nothing, given you have enough foundation to do so. Your talent is unmatched across all realms.

'Well, I have years' worth of sign-in rewards waiting. Go ahead, sign me in.' He thought toward the system.

[Congratulations, host, your daily sign-in has rewarded you with the Godly Xumi Art. This is a powerful martial art and cultivation skill combined into one technique, and is considered the strongest across the immortal realm in terms of versatility and raw power.

It's broken into a few stages that build upon each other. At stage one, one can create 60 arms sprouting from their body, although illusions in nature, these arms still carry power that can inflict real damage, allowing one to overwhelm their opponents through sheer numbers and coordination. Each arm is capable of using its own martial arts independently from the others, although each martial art would hold only 25% of the power compared to you using it with your real body.

At stage 2, you can create 1,000 arms instead of just 60, all of them capable of using their own martial arts simultaneously in coordinated attacks.

At stage 3, each arm no longer exists as illusion and becomes solid physical matter. The attacks they unleash are 50% as powerful as your attack would be if you launched it yourself.

At level 4, one has mastered their martial art to perfection. Each arm can now unleash attacks that hold 100% the power compared to you, making them just as dangerous as your real limbs. At this stage, one can also divide their bodies into 1,000 Buddha avatars, which are real existences with physical forms. One would also be unkillable, unless their soul is destroyed completely.]
