Chen Mei's beautiful, chocolate-colored slim waist appeared to sparkle from the morning light; a wolf-symbolized brand glowed with faint violet light at the center of her lower abdomen.
"Hmm, Xuan, would you explain what this is?" Chen Mei leaned in closer as she stared deep into Xuan's eyes, her gaze no longer lustful like before, but held a sharp light befitting of her accountant persona. "I found this when I woke up; it certainly didn't exist before we had our intimate moment last night."
Xuan nodded, answering, "Chen Mei, it's an innate trait, or skill, of my clan. I'm its last inheritor. Trust me when I say it won't harm you," Xuan said sincerely.
Chen Mei stood up as she stared down at him. "That was a half-truth, half-lie." Chen Mei's gaze suddenly became sharp, her tone low and threatening as she said, "I've trusted you and have taken you as my sole husband. You can trust me with your little secret Xuan…"
Xuan's hairs perked up as his body shivered; his beastly sense sent him danger signals for the first time after coming into this world. "What's this insane feeling??" thought Xuan as he felt extremely conflicted. "I thought my exclusive skills have already made her supremely trusting of me, but I guess it's not as hypnotic as I imagined. Still, if I reveal the effects of my second skill…"
It was dangerous for Xuan if he revealed the effects of his second skill which formed that brand. What if she told others about this? What if someone used magic on her and looked into her memory? Xuan still didn't know how strong the people of this world were, and apparently beastmen were a race so weak in this current age compared to all others, they're almost about to go extinct in a few hundred years. Yet even this exceptionally weak race has someone like General Yulin, who can make hundreds of beastmen fall unconscious within minutes, and she has no way to level up at all—that's her base talent and skills!
"It's very much possible for there to exist people of different, stronger races, or even these superior evolved races who're much stronger than Yulin. If they find out about my ability, who knows what they'd do to me. I can't tell her," thought Xuan as he stood up, his face full of determination.
Chen Mei's eyes widened as Xuan planted a gentle kiss on her lips before he said, "Chen Mei, I don't know what method you've used to check whether I'm telling the truth or not, but please use that method to check whether this is a lie or not."
"That brand on your abdomen—yes, it's from one of my skills, but it won't ever harm you. In fact, it would benefit you greatly! As for what or how its effects are, I can't tell you anything about it as of now," Xuan said as he breathed out before hugging the stunned Chen Mei, before declaring, "I trust you with my heart and body. One day I will tell you about it, although you might figure it out yourself as time passes."

The sound of glass breaking was heard as Chen Mei held the palm of her hand to Xuan; in it was a broken crystal.
Chen Mei pursed her lips before giving Xuan a warm smile. "This was a Truth Rune, which had two uses left, and in its last use, it told me that your words were indeed the truth. I'm glad that you trust me, Xuan." Chen Mei hugged Xuan; he hugged her back before placing his hands on her plump juicy butt, giving it a hard squeeze.
"Oh jeez 🤍! Xuan, you ruined the warm serious mood!" Chen Mei pouted while still in Xuan's arms. "And since when did you get so bold, huh, my little pup?" Chen Mei pulled Xuan's cheeks in a tease as Xuan smiled, still not letting go of her plump ass.
"All my meekness disappeared when I managed to get you, Chen Mei, as my wife. And from now on you're mine!" declared Xuan in a loud voice as Chen Mei shooed him to keep his voice down.
"Huh, can't say I won't miss my cute puppy Xuan…" Chen Mei rested her head on Xuan's shoulders as she said, "But this Xuan… isn't half bad either."

The beautiful and serene moments didn't last long, as it was time for Xuan to get back to his usual duties. But before going, Xuan asked Chen Mei for a favor. Chen Mei tilted her head. "What is it? You can ask me whatever you want to, although I can only do what's within my ability."
Xuan had previously already thought of what to ask from Chen Mei as he said, "Chen Mei, can we go monster hunting? As you know, I have been training myself really hard recently, and the ability that I have rewards me greatly for hunting monsters. It's basically like a class, but different."
Chen Mei thought for a bit before replying, her head resting on Xuan's shoulders. "Hmm, it won't be an issue. I have got two off days after all. But Xuan, can you gain experience from hunting monsters?"
Xuan knew this question would come; he was already prepared as he replied, "Yep, I can gain levels and exp like other races do. In fact, you can gain levels through me too!"
Chen Mei immediately stood up, looking at him as if he was speaking gibberish. "What do you mean by that exactly? Don't joke about such things. Our kind had been stripped of that capacity long ago by the immortal venerables of other races."
"Ah, again, I can't tell you the exact details, but yes, me and my lovers can gain exp like other races do. And as for me, I'm actually not part of your world at all, so I don't have the same restrictions as you do… ugh, please stop looking at me like I'm some sort of delusional person." Xuan looked away from Chen Mei's extremely skeptical gaze as he heard her let out a breath.
"Well, I trust you, and even if I didn't, I'd find out after we go hunting together anyway. Let's go hunting today," said Chen Mei as she rang the bell on her table. "I can't wait to see how strong my otherworldly husband is, hehe." Chen Mei winked at Xuan as Xuan smiled.
It would be a problem if he told her that she could simply level up by just receiving Xuan's milk after he had consumed enough monster meat. If such details were found out by the upper echelons of the beastman race and this new beastman kingdom he was in, he was certain his life would turn into a horrific nightmare.
But just simply telling her vaguely that she could level up by hunting monsters as long as she was his lover? That was much less cheating-like, and as long as she and his future lovers hunted lots of monsters, Xuan was certain he could rapidly surpass even the strongest beastman in this empire. At that point, none would be able to do anything to him even if they learned of the truth.

"Just you wait. I'll show you soon," said Xuan as he got up to go downstairs and eat his breakfast. He was incredibly hungry after such an adventurous night. "Let's meet after breakfast then, Chen Mei." Xuan waved his hands at her as he went to open the door.
"Wait, you don't have to go downstairs. You're my husband now. Let's celebrate our marriage by eating together," said Chen Mei as she walked up to Xuan before whispering in his ears, her lips brushing his earlobe. "It's our little secret wedding party."
