Chapter 41 - Brother Kun, No!

After confirming the scenario world, Benjamin decided to deal with the immediate matter before heading to the Lighthouse.

He couldn't ignore the hidden danger right under his nose.

In room 403, Lynas returned to her apartment, which she had only moved into half a month ago, and locked the door.

She changed into loose pajamas, then placed her delicate, white right leg on the table. The gauze was removed, revealing a wound requiring six stitches.

The depth of the bruise indicated the wound was not shallow; it was likely caused by a knife or dagger.

"Is being a dog really that good?"

Lynas muttered to herself, picking up a packet of loose white powder and applying it to the wound to change the dressing.

She bit her lip, enduring the stinging pain, and re-bandaged the wound.

Then she changed her pants, put on a coat, threw the gauze and dressing into a trash bag, picked it up, and went downstairs.

She needed to throw away the trash and then go to the supermarket.

She actually didn't want to go out because of her leg injury, but just now, while getting her dressing changed, she really had her period!

Her face was even paler, so in a way, she hadn't lied to Benjamin.

After throwing the trash into the large green trash can at the back gate of the residential complex, Lynas turned and walked towards the supermarket outside.

Whoosh!

Just as she disappeared through the gate, a dark shadow swept past the trash area.

The lid of the green trash can wobble slightly, and the trash bag inside had vanished.

From the sparsely trimmed grove behind the complex, a figure carrying a trash bag appeared—it was Benjamin.

He carefully examined the trash. A person's daily life can be largely gleaned from these things.

Alcohol on cotton swabs, bandages, bloodstained gauze, and even the packaging of sleeping pills.

What happened to this girl? How did she get her knife wound? Was it really just a coincidence that she was also a tower Guardian?

If it was just a minor stabbing by a mentally unstable person, that would be fine. But if it was a deliberate stabbing, it would definitely mean trouble.

Benjamin hated trouble, so he needed to figure out what kind of trouble it was first. Trouble from ordinary people was fine, but if it wasn't ordinary people…

Then he couldn't stay here any longer and had to move immediately.

He dug a hole with his hands, buried the trash in it, and then turned to a more distant spot, observing with his superhuman eyesight.

He watched Lynas go to the supermarket and then back to her apartment. Everything seemed normal.

By the afternoon of the next day, Benjamin felt he had wasted too much time and hesitated whether to change his identity and infiltrate to investigate.

The door across the street finally opened, and the girl, wearing an apricot-yellow coat over a tracksuit and carrying a black leather handbag, walked out.

Benjamin quickly and quietly followed her.

After leaving the apartment complex, he followed her all the way to a dilapidated, abandoned building in the suburbs.

This is a residential complex built by the Green Union Group in the development zone.

Due to substandard construction, several buildings collapsed, and the residents have been relocated. It's now a desolate area slated for demolition and reconstruction by the government.

Lynas walked straight into the depths of the abandoned buildings.

What is this girl doing here?

Benjamin slipped into a nearby abandoned container house and donned the Raghav skin.

He secretly thought he'd need to collect some spare disguises for the next instance. For now, he'd have to make do. After all, he wasn't one to kill indiscriminately.

With the disguise complete, he planned to continue following Lynas when he heard footsteps and the sounds of punches and kicks.

Benjamin stopped and peeked out through a crack.

In the overgrown weeds, two men were chasing and fighting.

Their punches and kicks were powerful and impactful, each move conveying a strong sense of force.

The fight scene resembled a martial arts movie from a past life; it was quite entertaining.

"Brother Kun, I have to take Lynas back!"

The young man in the black training uniform was knocked back by a punch, then took another step and raised his fist to strike the middle-aged man's head.

"If you want to take her, then take her. Did I stop you? What are you doing blocking my way? Get out of my way!"

The burly Brother Kun, wearing a black jacket, snorted coldly, easily blocking the punch with his powerful arm, and delivered a sharp kick straight for the young man's groin.

"Uh, Brother Kun, I have to take Lynas's things back too!"

The young man lowered his hands to block, but was forced back another step by the force.

His palms collided with Brother Kun's military boots, making a loud cracking sound. His hands curled up, his palms turning red, and his arms trembled involuntarily.

"No, you can only choose one: Lynas or the things."

Brother Kun pressed his advantage, his fists whistling through the air as he rained down blows on the young man.

Each punch was more ferocious than the last, yet he avoided vital points, clearly holding back.

Even so, the young man was forced to retreat steadily, gradually losing his ability to defend himself.

"Fine, then I'll choose the things!"

The young man couldn't help but take five or six steps back, separating himself from the middle-aged man, and vigorously rubbed his arms.

Ouch!

"Fuck you!" Brother Kun cursed angrily.

Clenching his fists, he lunged forward, delivering a powerful kick to the back of the young man's chest, sending him sprawling backward.

He was about to follow up with a spinning kick when he stopped abruptly.

"Brother Kun, don't force me!"

The young man rolled on the ground, pulling a pistol from his back waist and pointing it at Brother Kun.

"Is this where you get the courage to stop me?"

The middle-aged man flicked his wrist, sending two darts flying. One struck the young man's pistol, the other his thigh.

Clang! Clang!

Two metallic clangs rang out.

The young man's pistol fell to the ground, but the dart that had struck his thigh bounced off.

"The Azure Moon Cloth Armor! How could that old man let you wear this thing?"

Brother Kun pounced on the young man, his hands poised to seize him in a bull-like stance.

"Brother Kun, someone's here!"

The young man, startled by Brother Kun, retreated hastily, keeping his pistol away.

"Bullshit!"

"Such a good cloth armor should be worn by me!"

Brother Kun said, darting to the pistol beside the pile of rubble. With a flick of his right toe, the pistol flew into the air, firmly gripped by his iron-like right hand.

"It really is. Look at the footprints in the weeds by the container door. Someone just went in."

The young man guessed wildly, trying to catch his breath.

He really hadn't expected his second senior brother to reach such human limits.

Brother Kun ignored him, pointing the gun at the young man's head as he stepped forward, subdued him, and pinned him to the ground.

"Brother Kun, no! Someone really is here!"

Brother Kun didn't stop. He ripped off the young man's coat, took off a bodysuit resembling a fishing suit, and put it on.

Then he pointed the gun at the container.

"Come out!"

Ten seconds passed without a sound. Kun decisively fired, trusting his junior brother's intelligence.

Bang! Bang!

The instant the shots were fired, a figure flashed out. Shotgun shells in the shadowy figure tore through the container's walls, scattering towards the two outside.

Thud! Thud! Thud--!

The shotgun fired continuously, emptying its magazine. The young man fell to the ground, but the bullets on Kun were stopped by his cloth armor.

Regardless of who the other party was, since they had attacked first, showing mercy would be foolish.

"Damn it, what kind of old codger is this? Killing my junior brother, even paying with your life is too lenient!"

Seeing that Benjamin's gun was out of bullets and he was trying to retreat to reload, Kun used the same move he had used against the young man.

With hands raised in a defensive stance, he charged towards Benjamin like a bull charging at horns.

"Good!"

Benjamin shouted, his leg muscles bulging as he exerted force, his footing crunching on the pebbles as he charged towards Brother Kun.

Bang! The two collided like cannonballs, producing a thunderous sound, followed by a series of cracking sounds.

Brother Kun was sent flying back ten feet, blood streaming from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, his shattered ribs piercing his internal organs.
