Chapter 2 - Prologue: Raccoon Problems…

It was your eighteenth birthday when you got woken up by yelling from your front yard. You sighed before kicking the blanket that laid over you and sitting up before walking to your room's window looking out to see your two friends yelling at each other for whatever reason.

"I told you not to call me wolf!" a humanoid wolf wearing ragged clothes yelled as he threw his hands over his head. While looking down at a short girl with red hair.

"And? Does it look like I care, you mut." The girl said as she waved what the wolfman said before walking to the gate leading to your house's front. As the wolf followed, scolding the girl for what you had to quest.

'Why? Why guys...' You thought as you let the curtain shut in front of the window before grabbing the day's outfit of your choice before heading into your bathroom to get dressed. As you felt the house shack. 'Oh, great. They're at it again...' You thought as you went back to dressing yourself.

When you finally got downstairs you were greeted by the wolf man yelling at the small girl. (Note: the girl is shorter than you.) "I told you a thousand times! My name isn't Wolf!" The wolfman yelled as the girl rolled her eyes already disinterested.

You then noticed your mother on the other side of the table sighing as she seemed exhausted already. Before seeing you. "Y/n perfect timing! Take your friends outside, they're starting to get on my nerves!" Which made you shrink back a bit as you sighed. Hoping not to be noticed but you were to an annoying length.

The short red haired girl smiled as she turned her head towards you. "Y/n, good morning! Happy birthday!" She said as she got up off her chair, as the wolfman sighed before looking at you too. "Good morning, Y/n..." He said tired as he slouched a little.

"Good morning..." You said as you walked closer to them. "Okay, mom..." You whispered as you went towards the front door with the other two in tow. Walking outside. "So..." You said finally outside turning towards the two. "Why the hell are you guys here? It's not even seven yet." You said annoyed as you glared at them both. Watching them shrink back a bit as they looked at you, quiet.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't hear that." You said as you brought your hand up to your ear. As you heard them yelp as they seemed to shrink once again.

The red haired girl gulped before saying, "Um, today's your birthday as you know and we wanted to surprise you..." The wolfman nodded as he moved behind the red haired girl. As if to sacrifice her to you.

"Oh, so you both think it's fine to start yelling at each other in front of my house? And yell in front of my mother? You both are idiots. Don't ever do that shit again or else I'll make sure you both regret it for the rest of your lives..." You said, glaring at them before walking away as you heard them yell in fear.

It was almost lunchtime when you entered your grandmother's cottage, checking to see if she wanted company from her favorite and only granddaughter.

"Grandma! Your favorite granddaughter has come to visit!" You yelled as you walked into the kitchen hoping to see her. But didn't and she didn't reply, which she normally does... "Must be in the garden..." You whispered before heading out the back door that was on your right.

You smiled as you walked into the garden to see your grandma crocheted in the dirt of the garden tending to some of her favorite flowers. Roses. Making sure they weren't wilting and dying.

"Grandma! There you are. How are you doing today?" You asked as you walked up to her. As she looked up at you before smiling. "I'm doing good my baby girl. How's you and your mother doing?" She said as she dusted off the dirt before standing up to greet you.

You smiled as you hugged your grandma. "We're doing well. Mom had me drag my somewhat friends out of our cottage earlier." You said as you heard her chuckle. "Sounds like your mother all right." She said softly. Before letting go of you. "Anyway time for your grandma to make you some special birthday lunch!" She said before siring off into the house.

Making you smile even more as you stood there watching her go in, humming her sweet old tone. Before you heard a horse coming up from behind you. Only to see a black horse pull up with a black carriage.

"Huh?" You whispered confused before suddenly tired as your eyelids fell and you felt your body go limp. 'Oh, fuck...' You thought before everything went black.

When you woke up you saw only darkness until you saw a bitch black mirror that started lighting up with dark green flames, speaking.

"Ahh…. Dearly beloved…."

"Noblest and loveliest evil blooms…."

"Your beauty shines above all others!"

"Magic mirror on the wall. Who's the fairest one of all?"

Then the mirror faded out as a different scene started to fade, where the same black horse pulled a carriage riding up towards a medieval gothic castle.

"If true might thou wouldest acquire?"

"Through a darkened mirror, see."

The mirror then showed a creeping-looking hand guiding you to the mirror. Somehow hypnotizing you to step closer.

"To grant thy heart's deepest desire."

"Take my hand, and come with me…"

You then snapped out of it. As you saw a hand grab your arm pulling you in, as you heard the mirror say.

"For me, for them… For you…."

"Hey, who said I wanted this shit!" You yelled as you felt that you were falling again.

"We're all running out of time…"

"Time!? What about my time, huh!?" You yelled even louder. Getting pissed.

"No matter what…."

"Don't let go of my hand."

"Why me though…" You whispered as you suddenly fell asleep.

You were having a wonderful dream about wolf cubs until you got woken up by someone yelling,

"Damn it someone's coming! I gotta find a uniform!" And then you hear that person grunting.

'Oh, great...' You thought as you realized you were in a pitch black box. As you heard that person struggling to get the lid off your box that you were trapped in. 'Come on you can do it. Get me out so I can bet someone up for trapping me in a damn box!' You thought annoyed as you tried to help that person to get the lid off from your side of the box.

"Grr... it's stock. Time for my special move." You heard that person say as you felt the lid to the box get hot. Realizing that the person was now using fire to burn the lid off.

"Hey bitch! Someone is still in this fucking box!" You yelled as you compressed yourself to the floor box as much as you could. Before watching the lid to the box fly off in bright blue flames.

"Hey! What did I just yell you fucking moron!" You yelled as you leaped out of the box to look at the blue flame using perpetrator. Only to see a knee-high raccoon looking animal. That had blue flames coming out of its ears.

"Huh!?" The raccoon yelled shocked before saying, "You're awake!?" Making you even more annoyed.

"Yes, I'm awake! What do you think!" You yelled as you glared down at the raccoon. Stepping out of the box landing on the floor with a thud. 'Huh?' You thought before looking behind you to see a floating coffin behind you. 'Oh... wait what!?' You thought surprised as you blinked at the floating coffin.

You then heard the raccoon huff behind you for a moment before feeling the area behind you grow hot. You then did a swift doge out of instinct glaring at the raccoon. And yelling, "Hey watch it you fucking raccoon!"

"Oi!" The talking raccoon said looking at you annoyed, making a heroic pose while pointing at itself. "I'm the great Grim! Not raccoon!" The raccoon continued with a smirk as it looked at you.

"The great grim? Really?" You said as you looked at the raccoon before stepping forward. "If you want me to call you that then don't fire off those blue flames of yours!" You yelled as you glared at the raccoon watching him hesitate and step back. But as if you would call him The Great Grim. You would have simply called him Grim and if he did something great for you would call him the Great Grim. But that was a huge if.

You then watched as the raccoon shook his head. "W-w-w whatever! Just give me those clothes! Before I burn you to ashes!" The raccoon yelled before trying to blast you with some more of his blue flames. Only for you to doge with ease before you sprinted off away from the crazy raccoon. "As if I'll do such a fucking thing!" You yelled as you turned a corner.

"Well, I just guess I have to roust you!" You heard the raccoon yell as you smelled smoke running away while you laughed.

Though as you ran down the hallway. You noticed that the hallway had dark gothic architecture to it. 'Y/n, no! Stop trying to memorize everything in the place! You need to run from this crazy raccoon! Even though you can kill it with one swift backhand. Everyone will just question on how you can do that!' You thought as you heard the raccoon yelling something like, "Hey! Get back here, you weak human!" Which just made you laugh even more as you ran. Now seeing a big set of big black and gold doors. Now running into the room, the big set of doors, entering an enormous library.

'Oh, for fucks sack…' You thought turning around only to see the raccoon grinning at you mischievously.

The raccoon laughed as he started to crack his hands together though not making any sound. 'I guess the raccoon is trying to show how aggressive they are…' You thought now standing in a defensive position. Getting ready to fight.

As the raccoon said, "Now I got you! Weak human!" Which just made you annoyed as he continued to show off. "You can't escape me now Hum-AHHHH!!"

"Huh?" You whispered as you tilted your head as you saw a wimp come out of nowhere tying the raccoon up.

"What the hell! Who dares do this to the great Grim! Me!" The raccoon yelled as he struggled against the wimp.

"That is no mere rope! That is the lash of love!"
