TONY INVITES ROY TO BE THE GODFATHER
(Pepper's request & Roy's protection gift)
1. The Night After the Announcement
Tony couldn't sleep.
He paced the length of the Stark mansion living room while Pepper, smiling warmly, brewed tea.
Howard sat on the couch pretending to read a newspaper.
Maria sat next to him, beaming with grandmotherly pride.
Tony finally blurted:
"Pep… I can't pick anyone else. There's literally only one guy for this."
Pepper smiled. "Then ask him."
Tony swallowed nervously—because asking an OAA-level cosmic dragon god felt strangely intimidating.
2. Roy Arrives
Tony sent a message.
Roy appeared through a shadow swirl in the living room.
Howard: "Roy! My favorite mythical son!"
Roy: "I'm not mythical."
Maria: "You kind of are."
Pepper giggled. Tony took a deep breath.
3. The Question
Tony stepped forward.
"Roy… I need to ask you something. Something big."
Roy raised an eyebrow. "What is it, Tony?"
Tony's voice cracked.
"Will you be the godfather of my child?"
The room went silent.
Pepper held Tony's hand, watching Roy intently.
Roy blinked once—surprised—but his expression softened.
"Tony… I would be honored."
Tony exhaled in relief and immediately pulled him into a tight hug.
Tony: "Thank god, man. I couldn't trust anyone else. Not Rhodey—he'd drop the kid. Not Steve—he'd lecture the kid. Not Thor—he'd swing the baby like Mjölnir."
Howard: "He's not wrong."
Pepper laughed through tears.
PEPPER'S REQUEST TO ROY
Later, Pepper approached Roy privately.
"Roy… may I ask something else?"
Roy nodded gently. "Anything."
Pepper held her stomach protectively.
"When the baby is born… I want them safe. Beyond safe. I know Tony's enemies… Hydra, old enemies, cosmic threats… even the Avengers mess."
Roy placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"Pepper, this child will be under my protection. Nothing in the multiverse will touch them."
Pepper's eyes glistened.
Maria whispered proudly: "This is why we love you, Roy."
ROY CREATES THE NECKLACE
Roy lifted his hand. Shadows gathered.
Pure cosmic light swirled.

a delicate silver chain holding a deep blue gem that glowed like a living star.
Pepper gasped. "It's beautiful… What does it do?"
Roy explained softly:

Pepper's hands trembled as she held it.
"Single universe… Roy, that's too much—"
Roy shook his head.
"This child is Tony's. Therefore, someone I will protect as my own family."
Tony whispered from behind them.
"…You're going to make me cry again, man."
Howard wiped a tear.
Maria openly cried.
Pepper hugged Roy tightly.
"Thank you, Roy… truly."
Roy placed the necklace gently in her palm.
"When the baby is born, place this on them.
No force from this universe—or any neighboring one—will harm your child."
Tony sniffed loudly.
"I'm naming the kid after you."
Pepper elbowed him. "No, Tony."
Howard raised a hand. "Middle name?"
Pepper: "…Maybe."
Roy: "Tony, I don't need my name on your child."
Tony: "Too late, I already wrote 'Roy Jr.' on five baby name lists."
Pepper: "TONY."
