Chapter 67 - Chapter 67

THE FALLOUT OF STEVE ROGERS' ACTIONS

—and how the world reacted while Roy watched with bored amusement—

1. The World Reacts

The next morning, Roy was having breakfast with Velgrynd and Hela when the TV anchors practically screamed breaking news:

"WORLDWIDE ARREST WARRANT FOR STEVE ROGERS."

"US GOVERNMENT LABELS HIM A ROGUE OPERATIVE."

"FALCON AND ANT-MAN WANTED AS ASSOCIATES IN AIDING FUGITIVE."

Hela raised an eyebrow. "Your Midgardian 'Captain' is causing trouble."

Roy sipped his coffee. "He's consistent. Consistently stupid."

Velgrynd laughed into her glass. "Will you do anything?"

"No. He's not my problem. The government will chase him like a stray dog with a hero complex."

2. THE GOVERNMENT CRACKS DOWN

General Ross appeared on-screen next:

"Steve Rogers acted without authorization, broke international laws, and endangered global security.

He and his allies will be pursued."

Sam Wilson was already being hunted.

Scott Lang was forced to hide again.

Every government placed Steve on watch lists.

Roy didn't react.

He simply read a text from Wanda.

Wanda: "Roy… the news is crazy. Rogers escaped again."

Roy: "Wanda, you're retired. Don't bother with him. Live your life."

Wanda: "I know… I'm just worried you'll get dragged into it."

Roy: "I won't. Unless he knocks on my door, which he won't."

3. TONY'S REACTION

Later that day, Tony visited Roy's mansion.

He threw himself on Roy's couch dramatically.

"STEVE. ROGERS. IS. A. DISASTER!" Tony groaned, rolling onto his back.

Roy snorted. "You only realized now?"

"I should've listened to you years ago," Tony groaned. "He breaks laws, frees prisoners, punches first, thinks later—"

"—and then hides behind moral speeches," Roy finished.

Tony sat up. "Damn right!"

Pepper arrived behind him and added, "Ross is furious. The whole world is chasing Steve."

Howard appeared beside Roy with coffee. "Serves him right. The man acts like war is still happening."

Maria (Tony's mom) sighed. "Honestly, that boy needs therapy."

Roy nodded. "He wouldn't listen even to a therapist."

Everyone agreed.

4. THE PUBLIC SPLIT

On TV, protests were happening:

Some held signs saying:

"FREE CAP!"

"CAPTAIN AMERICA IS A HERO!"

Others countered:

"NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW."

"AVENGERS CAUSED TOO MUCH COLLATERAL DAMAGE!"

Roy shook his head. "Humans always divide themselves."

Natasha, resting on Roy's shoulder, smirked. "This time, I'm just glad I'm not involved."

Maria Hill added, "Same. Watching the chaos from a sofa is nice."

5. SAM AND SCOTT GO INTO HIDING

Later that week, Sam Wilson secretly texted Tony for help.

Tony forwarded the message to Roy:

Tony: "Sam's scared. They're tracking him."

Roy: "I'll erase their surveillance. Give me 10 seconds."

Roy lifted a hand casually.

Reality bent.

Government data nervously trembled.

A moment later:

Roy: "Done. Sam's location is wiped from every system."

Tony: "...Sometimes I forget you're basically a god."

Roy: "Surface level god."

Tony: "That doesn't help!"

Sam sent a grateful message minutes later:

Sam: "Thank you, Roy… I owe you."

Roy replied simply:

"Live quietly. Don't follow Rogers."

Sam agreed. He wasn't stupid.

6. STEVE SEEKS HELP—AND GETS REJECTED

A few days later, Steve Rogers finally made his move.

He approached Roy's mansion late at night.

But before Steve could even knock—

hundreds of shadow soldiers materialized silently around him.

Tank growled deeply.

Igris stepped forward, sword ready.

Steve raised his hands quickly. "I just want to talk!"

Roy appeared in front of him, wearing casual clothes and looking half-asleep.

"What do you want, fugitive?" Roy asked bluntly.

Steve tried to explain:

"I'm trying to protect my friend—Bucky—He's—"

"I know everything," Roy cut in coldly. "You're not here for Bucky. You're here because the world turned against you."

Steve clenched his fists. "They're wrong. I did what I had to!"

"No," Roy corrected calmly. "You did what you wanted, and called it righteousness."

Steve's jaw tightened.

Then Roy finished:

"You're on your own, Rogers.

My people—my family—are not getting dragged into your mess."

Steve swallowed. "...So you refuse to help?"

"Absolutely."

With a lazy wave of Roy's hand, two shadow generals pushed Steve back toward the road.

Hela appeared beside Roy, smirking. "You're too soft. I would've tossed him into a volcano."

Roy shrugged. "He's not worth the effort."

Steve walked away in silence, realizing he had lost yet another ally.

7. THE WORLD MOVES ON WITHOUT CAPTAIN AMERICA

Roy spent the rest of the week happily:

• Relaxing with his lovers

• Going on two dates with Wanda

• Visiting Asgard

• Helping Tony with a new project

• Teasing Loki

• Annoying Thor

While the world hunted Steve…

and Steve hid in shadows, confused and directionless.

The Avengers were gone.

His reputation was shattered.

And he stood completely alone.
