Mira's POV
I woke up feeling a mix between incredible unexcitment and frustration for this party my parents are throwing. Honestly the only good thing I see about this party is the fact that my brothers are coming, and honestly, I missed them. Those two were the only ones able to keep me from losing my mind from Mom and Dad's constant strife to make me 'The Perfect Human Being' . Always making me feel actually normal, and I remember the times they would fight bullies for me in school, and begged on behalf of boys to date them. Those times were fun , but now I'm taking over the Ross empire, great. "Mira, darling, you're up, finally. Did you plan on sleeping through the entire party?" , My mom saw and asked me, "if possible" I said, "What was that?" She asked, "nothing." I told her not wanting her to get angry, "It's not like I slept more than everyone else", "that's not important right now. What's important is you preparing for the party tonight. I just got off the phone with the planner and they are already at the venue setting things up, so we need to get ready." My mom told me , then she started contacting 'The crew's. 'The crew where the exact people my mom has been hiring to do my hair ,nails, fix my make up , and all sorts like that if we had any occasion, and mom would always say 'you must never be caught unprepared'. I needed to get some air or at least freedom , so I got dressed,took my car keys and went out. I went to see my best friend Jake and after my brothers he was the next person who could calm me down, "I don't even get what you're complaining about Mi" Jake told me , "I mean you're taking over the Ross empire, one of the five biggest business empires in the world, you should be thrilled.", I sighed then said "Jake you know me, I don't like all this stuff , I only do it cause I'm my parents perfect little angel and I want to disappoint them", "I get it, you don't want you're parents to know that their perfect little angel is actually a baddie.",Jake told me and I started laughing, then said "Hey, I'm not a baddie, I'm just not an angel", "So you're a devil",then we both started laughing , "ok but seriously if you don't want to run the empire just tell them , I'm sure they would understand", Jake told me ,"it not like I don't want to run it , I just want to run it my way.(sighs) but apparently my parents know better", just then my phone lit up with a message, and it was from my stalker. Oh did I forget to mention I have a stalker. It all started when I was thirteen, my brothers and u were sneaking out to a party we heard about , initially I wasn't supposed to come but I told my brothers that if they didn't take me I would tell on them , so they took me along, but first we made a quick stop at this new joint that just opened in town and after we left to go to the party I noticed someone tailing behind, not to close to be seen and not to far either, I told me brothers but they said they didn't see anything and I was just imagining things. The next morning I woke up someone texted me with an unknown number and it read 'Even thought I just met you , you're the one for me' being a kid I panicked and told my parents and they said the same things my brothers did the night before, for some reason no one believed I was being stalked,well except for James , and and after all these years of random text I'm pretty much used to it by now , "is that your stalker", Jake asked me "yep. Weird thought, it's been at least 2 months since he texted me , why now?", "Maybe he was on a trip and now he's back and misses you ", Jake said well not even trying to hide his amusement, "very funny", "well what does it say" he asked me, "it says ' it's been a while , I see your with HIM again, well I'm back so do urself and him a favour and forget about Him cause I'm the only one you need' you know the usual" then we both burst out laughing , then I sighed and said,"thanks Jake I needed this", "Hey , that's just one of the many services I provide", then the paparazzi started to show up and take pictures of us, "guess it was fun while it lasted. Come on let's get you home before your mom kills me" Jake said and we both stood up to leave. Just as we were leaving I caught a glance at a man standing in the corner, he was wearing a good so I couldn't see his face then suddenly he vanished. I thought of telling Jake but decided to brush it off , then we got into my car and left.
The time for the party came and guest started to arrive at the venue; politicians, business men and women, models , directors, actors and actresses, let's just sum up and say people found in the high class circle, and of course the news . Just as I stepped out of the car I was met by my two older brothers, who looked better than usual, " so you guys are planning to outshine me at my own party" I told them with a smile, then Liam said "come on sis everyone knows even if we dressed in diamonds and gold we could never outshine you", "exactly, so if we try to look our best don't blame us , I mean we're trying to measure up to you", Kia jumped in and added ,then the three of us hugged , I missed them so much, "so where are you dates, cause knowing you two , you would come without a pair of armcandy ", "HaHa very funny" they both said . In case you were you were wondering, Kia is the oldest, them Liam and then Me. "Alright let's get this party over with" I said , "sure" ,"let's go" Kia and Liam said.
