When Ken sat up. Still sleepy from not getting a wink of sleep. Not that he has to sleep all that much, just about half an hour at best to complete his sleep. He simply just couldn't. Not even half an hour if he was honest.
His regeneration did make him extremely resilient against sleep. But that doesn't matter if you don't sleep for a few days, then immediately fight a catastrophe way above your level and nearly die. Who knows how many times.
He even tried to train his skills all night thinking he could sleep after getting exhausted. Although it didn't do much, except increase his telekinesis by two levels. Which he wasn't really aiming for. Since he was trying to get thread manipulation to level ten, well, it still became level nine anyway.
Since nothing worked anyway, he looked at a notification that was there for a while.
[The sixth main scenario is about to start.]
[All the incarnations are advised to head towards Yongsan station.]
Ken got up and stretched his entire body like he was going to tear his tendons off. As he walked towards the edge of the rooftop, he simply jumped from the top of the building and landed on his feet like nothing happened. Although the street below him broke under his momentum.
He has gone to Yongsan before for a really specific reason… well, to take over it. He did kill another king called the neutral king here when taking over it during the king's selection.
And that was the last station he took over before he picked the title of the merciless king. Although he is now the enigmatic merciless king because of his feeling of mercy towards Yoosung.
As he lazily walked briskly towards the direction. He still arrived quite faster than he expected. 'Guess agility really is a thing.' Since he didn't expect even simply brisking to be this fast.
The reason Ken really didn't really know how fast a brisk would be, is because he is always either too lazy and carefree, which is why he walks too slowly. Or in a rush, which is why I run.
When heading to Yongsan, he bought one thing from the dokkaebi bag, which caught his eyes while looking it up.
[10,100 coins have been deducted for the purchase.]
As Ken was looking around, trying to understand what he should do. A person, who looked like he was from some kind of ancient era, called him out.
Ken kind of guessed who he was. Since there is only one person with these types of people following her. And that is, Min Jiwon, the king of beauty. Although she should be called a queen, the rules of the scenario still calls her a king anyway.
As he called him out, saying that Ken had to go to a meeting between the kings. Ken didn't bother that much, so he simply followed the guard.
As they arrived in front of a camp, another guard stopped them, saying that only kings can enter. Even though the guard who brought Ken here stated that Ken is a king, the other guy didn't believe him.
There are many reasons. But the main reason has to be the fact that Ken looks like a thirteen to fourteen years old kid at best. And that's in South Korean standards.
Even though Ken tries to say how he is actually fifteen in international standards, and is seventeen in South Korean, and is going to soon reach eighteen in their standards. The guard just didn't want to hear anything.
Ken, done with him, simply starts forcing himself in the tent. When the guard tried to stop him, he could not move, and when he tried to force movement, the cloth around his arms and body got a cut which got deeper and also slightly cut his skin.
Just then, the guard noticed a thin thread around himself. Which quickly retreated after he realized, with a glare at him, Ken entered the tent, where there is supposed to be a meeting between the kings.
[The area is under a soundwave blocking skill.]
Only then did Ken realize why the actual fuck he couldn't hear all these arguments from outside.
Inside, there was an old man saying whatever that was coming to his mind. Like democracy and what not. Even though it doesn't mean anything in this world anymore.
There were also three other people there. The king of beauty, Min Jiwon. The maitreya king, whose name Ken forgot. And Lee Sookyung, the king of wanderers, as well as Dokja's mother.
When the old man, who was clearly not a king, but still in this meeting, heard his footsteps. He looked back, to only see a young boy.
"Who are you? Kids aren't supposed to be here." As the old man fiercely patted Ken's back, telling him to go away.
Min Jiwon suddenly called him out. "Uhm. He might look like this, but he is also one of the kings, as well as the leader of Yongsan station."
As the old man bursts out in anger, still talking nonsense about democracy and such. He even told them to stop the kingship nonsense. Which practically wasn't nonsense anymore after the scenarios started.
Even while the guy was making a speech in anger, Ken slowly closed his distance to the king of beauty and asked her as to who this guy was.
And according to her, he is the president of Yeouido, named something like Yoo Hyeonho or something like that. The only reason he is here even though he is not a king is because he leads a group large enough to rival a king.
She also pointed out the king of wanderers, saying that even if she isn't a king, she is called one and also has a group big enough and strength to rival a king.
Hearing it, Ken slowly walked up and sat on a chair beside Lee Sookyung. As he sat there, the old man's anger burst out louder.
"We have met before, haven't we?" Lee Sookyung suddenly asked.
"Yes. When I was with Dokja and Sooyoung, we did meet… kind of."
Ken was laid back leaning against the chair with one of his legs on top of the other.
"Well, I didn't expect you to be a king. I guess the scenarios really are bad, to make a child as young as you into a king.
The position has a lot of responsibility, you see."
Ken stayed quiet for a few seconds before answering.
"Well, first of all. You know about Kim Namwoon, right? He was seventeen I think when all these started, yet he was pretty merciless and crazy across all of Joonghyuk's regressions.
And by the way. I'm fifteen if you consider the international age, and seventeen in Korean age, and after this year, I will be eighteen.
So, I think you can call me a child considering your age, but by Korean standards, I'm nearly an adult."
Even though Sookyung was wearing a mask, which hid her face and facial expressions, Ken could tell that she was pretty surprised by his knowledge.
And he is also pretty sure that she thinks that he is a renouncer. Unbeknownst to Ken, who was actually busy talking with Sookyung, the old man was still shouting saying this and that to Ken.
Specifically, he was telling Ken to get off of the chair and then get out of the tent. Just when he was about to reach out to Ken. He stopped seeing something in front of him.
Ken had taken out his spear and was holding it at the old man's throat. Even then he wouldn't stop and Kept aggressively telling Ken to stop all this, saying that it won't be good or whatever.
Since it was pretty annoying, Ken retreated his spear and got up.
"Haha… yeah, a kid like you should just listen to the elderly." The man was still going on about all this, but obviously nervous this time.
As Ken approached him and suddenly grabbed him by his collar. The only thing that was making his heart pound was the thought of using the new skill he gained.
[Predatory fear (lvl 1) has been activated.]
Just as the skill activated, the old man could feel an intense sense of dread and fear covering his entire body. As his strength slowly started to dissipate and he fell to his knees.
Ken took out a blue pill of sorts. It was the ice pills. 'It's kind of a shame to use them, since I was saving them for later. But it should be a good punishment without much damage."
He quickly grabbed the middle aged man's jaw and forcibly made him shallow three of the ice pills. As ice energy started to exude from his body, his entire body was also getting really pale really fast.
As Ken left the guy like that and sat back in his chair, he looked around and saw that the other two kings' faces were kind of pale.
"Hey. Why are you guys like that? Continue the meeting. Now I can know what this meeting was really about–"
As he was saying that, he noticed that someone had just entered the tent. When he looked towards the entrance, it was a man in a long white coat with a black shirt and pants.
"Ah. Dokja! And here I was busy wondering where you are."
