Chapter 4 - Daemon, The Crimson Blade

(Third Person POV)

[Treespire, Three Years Later]

It had been Three Years since Lady Celysse and Lord Arthor's son, Daemon, left Treespire and began his solo adventure. After discovering that he had left without saying a word, Arthor set out to find his son but had no luck. After he returned a few months later, he was informed by Celysse that a single letter had reached her.

The letter mentioned that to be a "Man", Daemon must embark on his adventures by himself, having no need for anyone else. While Arthor was worried at first, he understood his son's conviction and came to respect it. He used his connections and resources to try and keep tabs on him, to make sure that he was okay.

They would often hear about him every few months, hearing about his exploits; defeating multiple bandit gangs, slaying a Titanoboa, and even destroying Lich's Skull Orb. Hearing about this made the two legendary Heroes proud of their son.

But not too long ago, Arthor was called to a dangerous expedition, one that required him to be away for months. After saying goodbye, he left Treespire and made his way to the eastern border of Kraetopia, leaving his family alone. Celysse, being alone and saddened by the sudden turn of events, decided to reach out to Daemon, calling him home.

Celysse and her daughters were alone at home, which normally would cause some concern. But considering that she was a beloved Hero, not many would dare think of harming her. And not just that, Celysse wasn't a helpless woman; she was a powerful Sorceress who was more than formidable. It is just that the perspective on was shifted due to her years of being a mother.

Now, there were some men outside Celysse's home, calling out for her while drunk.

"Ahahahaha!!" one of them said as he stumbled, "Is this where the white goddess is? Bahahahaha!!!"

They were grouped up together, drinking from their gourds as they laughed and shouted.

"Come on out, woman!" one of them said, "I heard you were as beautiful as the Princesses! I want to see one for myself! An Elf!"

From the house's window, a young red-haired girl was peeking through, "Mama...." She said, "They're here again..."

Inside, Celysse was sitting down on a chair, combing her hair, "What a bunch of nuisances..." She said with a frown, "They've been at it for days. I've told Gabriel to inform the Baron to deal with this, I don't want to cause trouble."

"We should call Father Gabriel." The girl said

"Let's not bother him. He and his Paladins are rather busy nowadays." Celysse said, "Where is Aria? Is she still in town?"

"Yes." the girl nodded

"I hope she doesn't do anything rash when coming back." Celysse said, "I'll try to cast a dispersal spell, but I really don't want to cause trouble."

"You should just give them a scare so they won't come back." the girl said, "It's easier that way."

"Oh, darling." Celysse smiled, "I can't be that mean."

Back outside, one of the men was laughing, "I heard her husband is not here, he probably died!! Bahahahah!" He laughed, "Maybe we should show her a good time, seeing that there is no men in the house, bahahahaha!!"

As they were laughing, a young white-haired girl walked past them, paying them no mind.

"Oi." one of them said, "Who's this? Hey girl!"

"Fuck off." Aria said as she walked

Suddenly, a foot stomped in front of her, stopping her in her tracks. The young girl looked up to see a towering man with black hair and grey eyes. He was massive, standing at around 7 feet tall, with a hulking body; muscles bulging and his gut also seemed to be bursting.

"Girl." he said, "You're rather pretty, would you care to be our company?"

Aria blinked, "I'm not interested." She said, "You would do well to leave me alone, or I will have no choice to break your bones."

"Oi oi oi!!" one of the men said as they surrounded her, "Who's this piece of work? She's rather young? How old are ya, little lady?"

"Fifteen." Aria said, "And I in no way, shape, or form am interested in any of you stinking pigs."

"We should teach this one a lesson." one of them said with a smirk, "How about raping her, hahahaha!!"

"Took the words right out of my mouth." the tallest one said, "How would she look when I break her in?"

"Try it." Aria said, a serious expression in her face, "I'll rip your stupid thing off."

"Mama..." the red-headed girl, who was looking through the window, said, "They're harassing Aria."

Celysse immediately burst out of the front door, "Leave her be!" She said as she walked out in a hurry, her breasts swaying from side to side, "Aria, get away from them!!"

The men looked at her and whistled, "Ooooohh!!"

The tallest one looked at her, "Oh, so you're the one?" He said with a smirk, licking his lips, "A beautiful Elf. We should have our fun with you.....and then your girls."

Celysse scowled, "Do you truly intend to lose your lives like this?" She said, "Get away from my daughter."

"You have nobody to protect you." The Tall one said, "No man to keep us away from you."

"I don't need one to protect my family." Celysse said, "Do you not know who I am?"

"Some Elven Whore." the man said, "We-"

He stopped himself from speaking, his skin began to crawl as he felt a strange sensation.

"Celysse, The War-Sorceress. One of The Nine, who defeated The Prince of Lust." a voice said as slow footsteps were heard to the side, "That is who you fools are looking at."

They all turned to see a tall young man, wearing black armor as he walked towards them, a long black cloak fluttering to the side as he walked. He had a serious expression in his face, his pitch-black eyes piercing through the men.

"D-Daemon!" Celysse said, her eyes widened in surprise, "M-My beautiful boy, you've returned!!"

Daemon was quite taller than she remembered, having growth spurt, going from 5'10 to 6'4. He also seemed to be a bit more muscular, Celysse was able to tell despite him wearing the armor. Her son that was quite tall and somewhat slim was now taller and much more muscular.

There was a tear forming in her eye as she stood there, watching as Daemon walked over to the group of men.

"And who the fuck is this guy?" one of the men said

"Daemon, was it? Wait, as in Daemon, The Crimson Blade?" the other said, "Wait a fucking minute, wasn't Daemon the one who destroyed that Cult that worshipped Asmodeus?!"

Daemon's eye twitched but he said nothing.

Aria walked past them as Daemon stood between Celysse and the men, "Good to see you back, idiot brother." She said with a slight smile, "You look really cool, that armor and all."

"Get in the house, girl." Daemon said seriously

"Geez, still a prick." Aria chuckled, "I missed you, though~"

Celysse was going to say something but the Tallest Man stomped in front of Daemon, towering over even him. Daemon was staring right at the man's chest, considering that he was around a foot or more taller than him.

"Daemon, The Crimson Blade." he said, "What a fucking joke. What do you want?"

Daemon didn't look up at him, his gaze was directly in front of him and at the man's chest, "I would appreciate it if you turn around and walk away." He said, "Filth like you are unworthy of my efforts; that is what servants are for, you know."

"Tch...." the man said, "You won't look at me? Fucking brat."

"Looking at you would require me to tilt my head upwards." Daemon said, "And I look up to nobody inferior."

"Ha!!" one of the other said, "Crush his head, Orgen!!!"

The man raised his hand up and balled up a fist, veins bulging in his forearm.

"Daemon!" Celysse lifted up her hand, a faint white light emitting from it

Suddenly, the man's legs burst open with blood, causing him to collapse to his knees and buckle over as blood sprayed everywhere.

"AUUGHH!!!!" he bellowed in pain as everyone stepped back to see that his legs were suddenly mangled up, "AHHH!!!"

Daemon then looked down at him, seeing his face distorted with pain, "Ah, that is much better." He said as he raised his hand to the side, "You know your place, filth. On your knees, groveling before me."

A red magic circle appeared in the air next to his open palm, a red fire bursting forth as a black sword handle appeared.

"D-Daemon....that is...." Celysse widened her eyes, "What have you done...?"

Daemon pulled out a black longsword from the magic circle, one that was emitting a black smoke, "You lot have walked into your own demises." He said with a serious expression, "Threatening to defile my family. You filthy mongrels, who don't know your place. That woman, Celysse...."

"She is mine!"
