The Chosen One to Rule Them All Chapter 2

Chapter 2: Made it to School and Greeted Some Friends

We got to the school gate with less than a minute to spare. Four of Regina's friends stood in front of the gate, smiling and exchanging greetings. When they locked eyes with Rex, their friendly smiles faded and spread even wider. Their faces were filled with pure attraction.

In actuality, Rex was pretty handsome. His clean, decisive, and expressive face made an immediate impression. Thick, disheveled, and exceptionally radiant, his hair is a chaotic masterpiece. Platinum—white, nearly silver, but with a faint metallic sheen that gives it a supernatural vibrancy. Rex had an easy, natural confidence about him. His physique was strong and agile, the build of someone who trains regularly. However, his most striking feature was his brilliant golden eyes, just like Regina's. Which gleamed like molten—bright and intense—and were constantly alive with energy. They reflected gold in bright flashes when exposed to sunlight or torchlight. Their gaze is warm and bold, brimming with emotion. However, the girls were disappointed by his carefree attitude. These girls, like Regina, served on the student council.

Ericka Silverstone, daughter of Silverstone Mining and Drilling, was the vice president of the student council. Her hair is a long, flowing sheet of metallic silver, silky smooth and shining as if dusted with powdered stars. She gathers it into two twin tails, each one cascading over her shoulders or down her back. Her eyes are striking: large, bright, and shimmering like molten silver. They have a soft, wise glow, the kind that suggests centuries of kindness, thoughtfulness, and quiet strength. Her face is refined and luminous, with a delicate, celestial beauty that feels almost otherworldly. Her skin is pale with a cool, moonlit sheen—smooth, flawless, and faintly iridescent as if reflecting starlight.

Regina could be a real hothead, but Erika was gregarious and got along with almost everyone. She was also quite gluttonous and liked to eat extra lunches after finishing her own. She also considered herself superior to everyone else. Despite her belief that everyone was beneath her, she prioritized student safety and felt a stronger sense of justice.

Next was Sheena Blakeway. She was the daughter of the Secretary of Defense. As chair of the public morals committee, she enlisted students to help keep the school clean and exceptional. She was a foreigner. Her hair was styled into a short, sleek bob cut that fell just below her jawline, with a rich, deep bronze with subtle streaks of gold and hints of sea-green iridescence. Her eyes are striking and unforgettable: a deep blend of stormy bronze and ocean green, moving like currents beneath the surface. The warm bronze-gold tones of her skin catch light like polished metal, giving her a radiant yet controlled glow.

Sheena was tall, just like Erika, but a little shorter than both Regina and Erika. She may be very amiable, but she finds it difficult to forgive those who disobey the rules or irritate her. She also had a reputation for acting violently when she felt that someone was breaking her rules.

Then came Triss Ashford. She was the daughter of the world's biggest joke shop owner. Embrace Laughter. She served as the student council secretary. Her hair cascades down in a flowing, voluminous wave of shimmering reddish-copper, like strands of polished metal catching the sun. Her face held a lively, expressive beauty—sharp intelligence softened by mischief. Her eyes were large, bright, and alive with energy—like polished amber and molten copper swirling together. Her nose is small and upturned in a sly, confident way, and her cheeks carry a faint natural blush of burnished copper.

Triss's jokes were always hilarious, and she was the life of the party. However, she had difficulty reading the room. Her jokes had the potential to offend people, and she would be extremely offended if they did not find them funny.

Then there was Lila Starks. She founded her own computer technology company that competes with any in the market. Her hair cascaded down in long, flowing waves that shimmered like liquid copper mixed with desert sand. Her face possesses a striking, warm beauty—radiant and inviting—and her eyes are large, almond-shaped, and glowing with a molten brass hue.

She was tiny in size compared to the rest of the group, and she was known as quite the chatterbox. She loved talking about her inventions and making new friends, but she was a bit creepy with the number of questions she asked.

The girls ran up to him one after another. The first to speak was Lila. Ah! Good morning, Rex! Now—quickly—how was your morning? Any surprises? Any adventures? Even a strange dream will do!" Rex was about to open his mouth when Ericka interrupted and said, "Let the poor soul breathe, Lila. Good morning. I hope your morning was restful. Did anything weigh on you or lift your spirits?"

Rex was once again interrupted by Triss. Yes, yes, very noble, Ericka. But more importantly, did anything fun happen? A stumble? A funny moment? A spilled breakfast? I live for the chaos." Sheena then interrupted, clearly irritated at Triss, and said, "Ignore Triss. Mostly. But really—how'd your morning go? I just want to know you're safe and off to a solid start; I see you have a few bruises on your face. You might want to get that checked out."

They all got into a shouting match that got a little out of hand, prompting Rex to speak up. Ladies, ladies, I know you're happy to see me. I'll tell you everything about my morning. Sit down, and I'll share the story. First and foremost, yes, I had a lovely morning. Regina cooked me a full-course breakfast, which made it even more special. Regina blushed slightly as he continued. The girls sat around him like children eager to hear a bedtime story.

He started talking about everything that had happened to him that morning, including how Drik had nearly thrown him into a trash can and beaten him. Erika's eyes exuded a cold, icy chill. Dirk, eh? I gave that mor—uh, I mean bully, the benefit of the doubt. Rest assured that I won't repeat the same error.

Sheena came next, yelling with a poisonous rage. That man believed he could bully my friend behind my back, huh? It is unacceptable that he believes he can act like a snake and sneak behind me, the head of the morals committee; it is a disgrace to my honor. But he decided to hurt you severely. He will sincerely regret making that error. Maybe a trip to the tropics would be beneficial for our little friend?

Triss was grinning menacingly, but there was a fierce anger in her eyes. Oh well, would you look at that? I get to play with my new toy and make a little mayhem. Oh, but that never ends well for the receiver, though. Alas, as they say, you reap what you sow. Heheheheh. It will be entertaining to expand the collection with another toy.

Finally came Lila. She was stunned into silence for a moment before speaking like a raging inferno, which surprised me because normally she would never be able to stop talking. THIS MAN DARES TO LAY MY MATE LOW IN A TRASH CAN! Normally, I am calm and don't get angry easily. This is a question that deserves answers. "Truly, I swear by every grain of sand in this blasted land, Dirk is going to regret waking up today." His day of reckoning is approaching. I swear by my ancestors and my pride as a bra... Before she could say anything else, Sheena punched her in the gut after Regina told her to stop talking and nodded at her.

Cough, Sheena, what was that for? Lila spoke with pure venom in her voice and gaze, clearly still angry. Sheena said, "The next time, shut your mouth, or it will be on your lips." Her gaze and tone conveyed a clear threat. Lila did not back down, huh? Look at you, Sheena; you're always looking for a fight and resorting to violence to solve problems. Don't worry, before I teach Dirk a lesson, I'm always willing to challenge you first. Sheena's eyes glinted. Oh, so the cowardly midget wants some of me, huh? Okay, bring it on. I'll take you out in a flash before Dirk without breaking a sweat.

Regina couldn't take the nonsense anymore and spoke up. I've had enough of you two's constant bickering. But she... Lila attempted to argue, but Regina stopped her with a single stare. I said, "Stop, Lila. Was my explanation not clear enough?" Lila's face was full of terror. Yes, it is crystal clear; I will stop. I had gone too far. She was clearly shaking in her boots.

The whole charade confused Rex greatly, but before anything could be said, suddenly, the bell to get to class started ringing, and the group headed to their first-period class, which was Algebra II. As Rex walked into the classroom, the final bell rang to start class; there was the teacher, Miss Auram. Clearly annoyed that her student council students could barely make it to class on time before the final bell.

Our student council decided to join us this pleasant morning. Just in time, too; I was starting to get worried for the academy's sake. She narrowed her eyes; it appears that some punishment is in order because someone believes my class isn't entertaining enough to keep them coming on time. Regina spoke up with a challenge in her eyes, "Sorry, Miss Auram, but the student council had a meeting this morning on whether Rex here would be an event coordinator for the rest of the school year."

Miss Auram was a stunning-looking woman in her mid-30s. Her hair flowed like molten gold, long and silken, and when she moved, it rippled like warm morning sunlight. Her eyes were like molten amber, bright and luminous, and reflected wisdom, and also looked gentle and fierce at the same time. She also carried herself with the utmost elegance. She was very standoffish and did not like to speak to people often, but her students were her priority.

"Oh, really," Miss Auram said. "Then please explain to me how I am the head teacher of the student council, and I was not informed?" She gave Regina a suspicious look before dropping it, claiming it wouldn't change anything, and instructing them to take their seats. Rex and the girls did just that. She stopped Rex and held his shoulder. I want you to stay after class and tell me who put those bruises on your face. You wouldn't dare to lie to me, right? Of course, Miss Auram. I would never. Good, now get to your seat so we can start class.

30 minutes later, Rex was bored and struggling to stay awake. He slowly closed his eyes, and then a dry-erase marker smacked him on the head. I see someone thinks sleeping in my class is more important than paying attention to my lecture. Good grades do not excuse you from falling asleep in my class, Rex. First, you dare to be nearly late and now asleep.

She then jotted down an extremely difficult question that they had not even covered yet on the board. If you can get this question right, you can do whatever you want. She then hovered the dry-erase marker in her hand and pointed it directly at Rex. If you don't get the question right, you have to run laps for an hour after school. The students laughed and chuckled, mocking him, which prompted worried glances from the girls.

Rex smiled. Oh? And what do I get out of this little cat-and-mouse game? Hmph, if you get it right, do whatever you want for the rest of the year. "This is an advanced Algebra II question," she smiled confidently, causing more sneers from the students. Rex walked up to the board with a confident smirk on his face and started the problem.
