"Whoa! Fang Yang—what amazing thing do you have?" Xie Xie's eyes gleamed as he eagerly leaned in.
Gu Yue stood nearby, arms crossed, a flicker of curiosity in her dark eyes.
Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi also watched with bated breath.
Fang Yang scanned the gathered group, his gaze finally settling on Xie Xie. "Has Tang Wulin returned yet?"
"Not yet," Xie Xie pouted. "I knocked on his dorm door forever—no answer. But I called him—he should be here soon."
"I see…" Fang Yang nodded thoughtfully.
Just then—rapid footsteps echoed.
"Wait for me! I'm late!" a familiar voice called.
They turned to see Tang Wulin sprinting over, sweat beading on his brow—clearly running nonstop.
"Sorry!" he panted, catching his breath. "Lost track of time in the forging room—missed your call."
Now that everyone was present, Fang Yang smiled.
"Since we're all here…"
He pulled a delicate jade box from his storage ring and opened it slowly.
Six lustrous pills glowed within—
each perfectly round, radiating faint soul power, filling the air with an intoxicating herbal fragrance.
The group inhaled deeply—instantly feeling their spirits sharpen.
"These… are pills?" Gu Yue's eyes widened slightly, surprise flashing in her pupils.
As the Silver Dragon King, she sensed the pure soul energy within them.
Fang Yang nodded. "Exactly. I refined these from the spirit herbs you helped me buy, Gu Yue."
At that, knowing glances darted between Fang Yang and Gu Yue.
"HA!" Xie Xie suddenly howled. "Ha Ji Yang—you're living off Gu Yue's money!"
Tang Wulin, Zhang Yangzi, and Wang Jinxi all turned to Fang Yang, eyes sparkling with gossip.
Fang Yang's face flushed crimson—but before he could explain—
Gu Yue spoke, voice calm yet unyielding:
"I enjoy spending money on Fang Yang."
The sheer husband-protecting energy silenced the room.
Envious whistles erupted.
Where could one find such a girlfriend?
Beautiful. Powerful. Insanely rich.
Xie Xie's eyes gleamed. "Uh… Goddess Gu Yue, do you need…"
THWACK!
Fang Yang smacked Xie Xie's head. "Think before you speak…"
"Ow ow ow! I'm sorry!" Xie Xie clutched his skull, pouting.
Tang Wulin and the others burst into laughter.
"Alright—serious talk now," Fang Yang said, turning solemn. "Come to my dorm. I have something for you."
They followed him back.
Xie Xie rubbed his head, muttering, "So rough…"—earning more chuckles.

In the Dorm
Fang Yang presented the jade box again. "Try the Soul-Ascension Pills."
Gu Yue took one without hesitation.
Tang Wulin and Xie Xie followed.
Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi claimed the last two.
Only one pill remained.
"Aren't you taking one, Fang Yang?" Tang Wulin noticed Fang Yang tucking it away.
Gu Yue's gaze shifted to him.
Fang Yang quickly took her hand. "I've already taken mine. You eat it."
She nodded softly.
"After swallowing, meditate immediately," Fang Yang instructed.
"Got it!" they chorused.
As they sat cross-legged, the room fell silent—only steady breathing filled the air.
Fang Yang watched quietly—his eyes lingering on Gu Yue.
Her porcelain skin, fluttering lashes—radiating tranquil beauty.
"My wife… truly stunning," he mused fondly.
Soon, Gu Yue opened her eyes—meeting his gaze. She smiled gently.
"How was the pill's effect?" he asked softly.
"My soul power rose slightly," she replied.
Fang Yang understood—as the Silver Dragon King, a First-Tier pill was too weak for her.
Only higher-tier elixirs would yield significant gains.
Next, Tang Wulin awoke—eyes wide with shock.
"I jumped from Level 25 to 27! Fang Yang—this pill's miraculous!"
Xie Xie leapt up, ecstatic. "I went from 24 to 27!"
Zhang Yangzi was speechless with joy—Level 25 to 30!—Soul Elder achieved!
"This… this is unbelievable!"
Even Wang Jinxi—from Level 22 to 25—stared at his hands in awe. "I broke through so much?!"
"Thank you, Fang Yang!" Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi bowed deeply, gratitude shining in their eyes.
Fang Yang waved it off. "It's nothing."
"I'll head to the Spirit Pagoda now!" Zhang Yangzi beamed. "Need to buy a soul spirit for Level 30!"
"I'll help you pick one," Wang Jinxi chimed in.
"Safe travels," Fang Yang saw them off.
Now only Gu Yue, Tang Wulin, and Xie Xie remained.
"Fang Yang… do these pills have side effects?" Xie Xie asked suddenly, worry in his eyes.
All eyes turned to Fang Yang.
He blinked—then grinned. "My Soul-Ascension Pills are 100% safe."
He paused dramatically. "But… they have a special feature."
"What feature?" Tang Wulin pressed.
Fang Yang dropped the bombshell: "They reveal your martial soul's potential!"
The trio exchanged glances. Gu Yue's interest peaked. "How?"
"The pill boosts soul power—but the amount gained depends on your martial soul's latent potential," Fang Yang explained. "Smaller boost = higher potential. Larger boost = lower potential."
Xie Xie's eyes lit up. "So Zhang Yangzi's 5 level jump…"
"Means his martial soul's potential is relatively low," Fang Yang confirmed.
Tang Wulin nodded slowly—the truth sinking in.
