"Fred, George, what are you doing here?" Albert asked, feigning surprise as he looked at his roommates who were bending over and mopping the floor.
"Mop the floor," Fred said curtly.
"Seriously, I didn't know you guys had become so diligent," Lee Jordan said, looking at the twins with a smug grin. The dung bombs were difficult to clean, especially since Filch hadn't given them any cleaning agents; mopping and rags alone weren't enough to get them clean.
"This is the consequence of throwing feces bombs down the corridor," Filch said to the onlookers who had stopped to watch. "Don't think you can get away with doing something bad."
"Don't worry, I'll ask for leave for you from Defense Against the Dark Arts class," Albert said, patting the twins on the shoulder.
Why do I always feel like you're gloating a little?
"Really?" Albert turned to look at Lee Jordan and said, "No, they were the ones who threw feces bombs in the hallway and got caught by Filch."
"I thought they were going to secretly throw feces bombs into the corridor." Li Qiaodan was also puzzled. Wasn't this just asking for trouble?
Albert knew the reason, of course. If Filch weren't around, he wouldn't mind using a cleansing charm to reduce their troubles. Unfortunately, Filch was watching closely, so he couldn't do that.
It took Fred and George several hours to completely clean up the traces of the feces bomb in the hallway and office.
As a result, they also missed lunch.
The two, whose backs ached, could only get a sandwich from the kitchen and are now eating under a tree.
"Where's the stuff? What did you take? Don't tell me there's nothing here." George stuffed the sandwich in his hand into his mouth, looked at Fred, and waited for the other to take out the contraband he had obtained from the drawer.
"Got it. Here it is." Fred took the envelope out of his pocket and handed it to George.
"What is this?" George looked at the old-looking envelope, then turned it over. There was no sender, but two sentences were written on the envelope: I solemnly swear that I did not do anything good. Prank over!
"Quick, see what's inside!"
George quickly opened the envelope and found a large, square, very old piece of parchment inside.
Yes, it's just an old piece of parchment.
However, nothing was written on the parchment.
"What is this?" George looked at his brother with suspicion. They could both sense that there was some secret on this parchment, otherwise Filch wouldn't have put it in the confiscated supplies, highly dangerous drawer.
"Will we need a password?" Fred suddenly remembered two sentences on the envelope: "I solemnly swear that I have done nothing wrong."
"Fool, wand, use your wand." George took out his wand, pressed it against the parchment, and said, "I solemnly swear that I have done nothing wrong."
Ink lines began to appear where the wand had just touched, converging and intersecting like a spider web on the parchment, and then extending to every corner of the parchment.
"It actually requires a password!" The twins couldn't hide their excitement.
Sure enough, this parchment held some secret.
"Look at this!" Fred stared at the surface of the parchment and noticed a line of writing appearing at the top:
The suppliers of magical prankster aids: Gentlemen Moonface, Wormtail, Bigfoot, and Fork proudly present the Marauder's Map.
"The Marauder's Map?" the twins exclaimed in unison. "This old parchment is actually a map."
"George, look! The ink dots on the parchment can move!" Fred shared his discovery with his twin brother in amazement.
"Nonsense, otherwise why would it be called a Marauder's Map?"
The two huddled together to study the secrets of the Marauder's Map, and soon discovered that the map detailed the exact locations of Hogwarts Castle and all the secret passages, as well as the passwords to open them.
Finally, there's no need to worry about not being able to open the secret passage after finding its location.
Most importantly, it also marks each person's location with ink dots.
Albert came out of the library, seemingly preparing to return to the lounge. Filch was on the fourth floor, while the mischievous Pippi the Ghost was on the sixth floor.
"George…"
"Fred…"
"You go first..." they both said in unison, then shook their heads and burst into laughter.
"Then let's talk about it together."
"Night tour".
The two looked at each other and couldn't help but laugh again.
"From now on, when we go out at night, we won't have to worry about getting caught by Filch even without the Disillusionment Charm."
"Yes, that's great. There are still many secret passages up there that we haven't discovered yet."
"Try another password," Fred reminded him, pressing his wand against the map and whispering, "Prank over."
The next moment, the marks on the parchment gradually disappeared, and within seconds it turned back into a blank old parchment.
"The traces have actually been wiped away!" George exclaimed in surprise. "The manufacturer really thought of everything."
"If everyone knew such a thing existed, it would definitely spread like wildfire," Fred said after thinking for a moment. "It's probably to protect the secret of the parchment from being seen by others."
"Do you think Filch has figured out how to use this parchment? He knows the location of so many secret passages better than all the students," George raised his doubts. "Also, why did he keep the parchment in his drawer? I would definitely carry it with me."
"I don't know, whatever, the Marauder's Map is ours now anyway, should we tell the others?" George was referring to Albert and Lee Jordan as the other people.
"No, let's not do it yet." After considering it, Fred shook his head and said, "The fewer people who know, the better."
"Don't forget, Albert knows about this," George suddenly said. "He definitely knows what we took from Filch."
"But if we don't tell him, he definitely won't know this thing exists," Fred said, raising an eyebrow.
Actually, the two don't mind sharing the Marauder's Map with others, but they are worried that some big mouths will make them lose this valuable resource.
"Don't overthink it. Let's go check out the other secret passages first." The twins looked at each other, put their arms around each other's shoulders, and left.
"Who do you think created this Marauder's Map: Moonface, Wormtail, Bigfoot, and Forkhead?"
"I think they must have been students at Hogwarts." George gently lifted the statue's head and quickly opened a secret passage.
"Hurry up, someone's coming this way," Fred, who was keeping watch on the map, warned.
After the two hurriedly slipped into the secret passage, the statue was restored.
"Where does this secret passage lead?" George made his wand glow, but unfortunately, he hadn't fully mastered the glowing spell yet, and it would suddenly go out after walking for a while.
"Fifth floor," Fred couldn't help but complain, "and you still haven't mastered the Glowing Charm!"
"You talk as if you've already mastered it."
