In the evening, during dinner, Charlie sat next to Albert and talked to him about the rules of Quidditch while they ate, and even suggested that Albert take some time to read "Quidditch Origins".
"What's the longest match at Hogwarts?" Albert asked curiously. If a Quidditch match only ends when the Golden Snitch is caught, what happens if the Golden Snitch is lost?
"It's said to last three days," Cha thought for a moment and said. "In the end, if they really couldn't find the Golden Thief, they would end the competition early, and the side with the most points would win."
As the group chatted about Quidditch, a woman's voice suddenly interrupted their conversation.
"Albert, Professor McGonagall asked me to give this to you." Angelina handed Albert a folded piece of parchment.
"Thank you, Angelina." Albert took the parchment, opened it, and found that it read:
Thursday evening at 7 pm, sixth floor of the castle, classroom number 21, remember the basic transformation rules of Gamp.
"What's this?" Fred, who was eating a potato with the skin on, put down his fork and leaned closer.
"Professor McGonagall's notification: the time and place for the next Transformation Club meeting." Albert didn't intend to hide anything and handed the parchment directly to Fred.
The twins and Li Qiaodan immediately scrambled to see the contents of the parchment.
"Transformation Club, what's that?" Charlie suddenly stopped talking and looked at Albert with a puzzled expression.
"It's a club founded by Professor McGonagall," Albert explained.
"What does it mean to remember Gamp's basic transformation rules?" George asked, somewhat puzzled.
"It's most likely the password to enter the classroom," Albert thought for a moment and offered his guess.
"I'm sorry, Charlie, but if Quidditch training and the Transformers Club's activities conflict, I'm afraid I'll have to prioritize the Transformers Club."
"Oh, I almost forgot, this happened this afternoon, right?" Lee Jordan also remembered. The twins next to him exchanged glances, they also knew about it.
All four could see that Charles wanted to train Albert to be a pursuer or a seeker, but it was already over before it even began.
Unbeknownst to them, Albert had no intention of joining a Quidditch team. For him, flying on a broomstick was a pleasure, and while Quidditch might be interesting, Albert had no desire for rigorous Quidditch training, much less any intention of becoming a Quidditch player.
As for joining a Quidditch team after graduation, forget about it!
Charlie felt a little stunned. What happened to the secret weapon?
It hadn't even warmed up in his hands before it slipped away without a sound. Charlie decided to find out what had happened.
"Charlie is determined to win one more Quidditch trophy for Gryffindor before he leaves," Fred said, shaking his head as he watched Charlie's departing figure.
After finishing their meal, the four returned to the Gryffindor common room, which was packed with people and filled with noise that made Albert feel like his head was about to explode.
It's probably because school has just started and the Gryffindor lion cubs haven't recovered from the summer vacation yet. If they let them play around for a few more days, they won't have the time or energy to frolic here after all the homework piles up.
"Let's go to the Great Hall!" Albert thought for a moment and decided to take a book to the Great Hall to read, and also practice some magic in his spare time.
The auditorium was much less crowded, and Albert found himself a quiet spot.
After noticing Albert while sitting at the entrance of the auditorium, Shanna walked over to him and began practicing the Glowing Charm.
After seeing that the other person had tried several times without success in casting the glowing spell, Albert reminded him, "You should have confidence in yourself and concentrate. When casting the spell, imagine that your wand will glow."
Shanna's face flushed slightly, but she still couldn't succeed.
"Your mindset is wrong, which will affect your success rate in casting spells. If you keep thinking you can't do it, your chances of failure will increase by at least 30%." Albert pointed to the small box next to him. "Want one? Don't worry, it's a chocolate bean."
"How did you know?" Shanna asked, having eaten a few chocolate chips. "I mean, how did you know these things help with successful spellcasting?"
"Would you believe me if I said I was just guessing?" Albert said with a smile.
I don't believe it.
"Well, actually, it's the conclusion I came to after failing at Transfiguration too many times." Albert wasn't lying; in fact, half of what he said was true. "A wizard's emotions can affect their spellcasting."
"I'll try again." Shanna felt the chocolate bean in her mouth was a little sweet. She took a deep breath and tried a few more times before finally succeeding in lighting up her wand. Her previously tense little face broke into an excited smile.
However, the light on Shanna's wand quickly went out again.
"You need to concentrate and practice more, but you'll definitely succeed," Albert comforted him.
"I thought you were going to the library." Lee Jordan sat down next to Albert and looked suspiciously at Shanna, who was practicing spells. "Did I disturb you?"
"Where are the two of them?"
"I don't know." Seeing Shanna practicing the Glow Charm, George also took out his wand to practice, though his Glow Charm skills were still only rudimentary.
"What's going on with me?"
"You're probably not concentrating enough!"
"What do you mean by 'approximately'?" Li Qiaodan was a little annoyed, but he still began to focus on practicing. Although there was still time in the next spell class, he wanted to master the spells as soon as possible.
"How can we define 'successfully mastering' this?"
"You can keep your wand glowing even when you're not focusing on it, so I guess that counts as a success!" Albert stopped turning the pages and thought for a moment before replying.
After some practice, Li Qiaodan's light spell became less likely to go out.
Of course, that was when he was focused on his wand. Although Shanna's progress was a bit slower, the results were still quite good.
As it turns out, with enough practice, most spells are not too difficult to master.
Where did you go?
Around 8:30, the twins finally appeared in the auditorium, and neither of them looked too good.
"Filch just took most of our dung bombs," Fred said through gritted teeth.
"What happened?" Albert asked the two of them suspiciously. "You didn't get caught throwing the dung bomb, did you?"
Here's what happened... George, who was relatively calm, gave a brief account of what had happened.
Not long after, the two were pranked by Peeves, and then went back to the dormitory to get dung bombs to throw in Peeves' face. However, just before they were about to do so, Filch caught them and confiscated most of the dung bombs.
Filch said it was contraband and confiscated the dung bombs they had prepared to use against Peeves.
The twins were so angry their noses almost crooked.
After listening to their story, Albert was speechless.
What a mess!
