Chapter 17 - Platform nine and three quarters

On September 1st, Albert woke up early, climbed out of bed, got dressed, and stretched a bit to fully wake himself up.

Today, he was finally going to Hogwarts, and he couldn't help but feel a little excited.

After washing up, Albert began to check his luggage.

"Are you awake? Then come downstairs for breakfast." Daisy, wearing an apron, pushed the door open and said to Albert, who was checking his luggage, "Oh, by the way, put your robes and pointed hat on top of your luggage, so they'll be easy to find when you change on the train."

"Albert, are you really not taking Tom to school?" Nia, in her pajamas, rushed into the room, holding the short-haired cat.

"Let Tom stay here with you," Albert said.

"What about Shera?" Nia asked again.

"It will fly to Hogwarts to find me on its own. I asked, and the school has an owlery where it will stay." Albertdidn't want to bring an owl to King's Cross Station; it would attract too much attention.

Breakfast was as simple as usual. Daisy also prepared him a ham sandwich and a can of drink for when he got hungry.

There was naturally food for sale on the train, so Daisywasn't worried about Albert going hungry. Herb had given him all their remaining Galleons, a considerable amount, and they weren't concerned about Albertspending money recklessly, as there was no precedent for it.

The heavy trunk was easily lifted into the car by Albertusing a Levitation Charm.

"Did you bring the camera?" Herb asked, "The one your grandfather Luke bought you?"

"Yes, I'll write home every week and send back photos," Albert said, indicating he hadn't forgotten this. He would take pictures of some things at Hogwarts to share with his family.

"That's good," Herb nodded and said, "Let's go."

The family arrived at King's Cross Station before ten o'clock. Herb helped Albert put the trunk on a trolley.

Albert pushed his luggage to the wall between Platform 9 and Platform 10. He made a quiet gesture and casually reached his hand into the wall, and sure enough, he could pass through.

Albert breathed a sigh of relief, returned to Herb's side, and said, "Okay, I'll go in by myself then."

"Remember to write," Herb said, "And send photos."

"I know," Albert looked at his sister. "Nia?"

"That's not fair, I want to go too." Nia reached out and gave Albert a hug.

"Don't cause trouble at home, and don't bother anyone," Albert instructed.

"I wouldn't," Nia turned her head away, pretending to be angry.

"Son, see you for Christmas Holiday." Daisy gave Alberta farewell hug and kissed his cheek, saying, "Then, we'll take you skiing."

"I know, see you for Christmas Holiday." Albert pushed the trolley, looked left and right to make sure no one was watching, then jogged towards the wall.

"He disappeared," Nia pointed to where Albert had vanished.

"magic is always so amazing. Let's go back," Herb put his arms around his wife and daughter, saying, "Don't worry, Albert will take care of himself."

On the other side of the brick wall, Albert found himself in another station. A deep red steam locomotive was parked beside the platform, and the sign hanging on the train read: Hogwarts Express.

There weren't many passengers on the platform. The train departed at eleven, and it was not yet ten, so he had arrived an hour early.

After entering the platform, a new prompt appeared on the panel: Discovered Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, gained 100 experience points.

Exploring the map also gave experience, though very little, so Albert didn't pay much attention. As if remembering something, he quickly moved away from the entrance to avoid being bumped by people behind him.

What was originally the ticket gate had now become an archway, with a sign hanging above it that read: Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.

Indeed, it was much like the description in the book.

By the way, this was Albert's first time on such an old-fashioned train; it really was an antique.

Pushing his luggage, he walked through the station, found an empty compartment, used a Levitation Charmto move his trunk inside, found a place for it, and closed the door. Then, he began to change into his Wizardrobes.

Not long after Albert opened the window, Shera flew over and landed on the table. It seemed it wasn't planning to fly to Hogwarts on its own, but rather to hitch a ride.

"What a clever little fellow." Albert stroked the snowy owl's head, took out some owl nuts from his trunk, and poured some for Shera.

"Oh, right, photos! I almost forgot about that." Alberttook his camera back to the platform and took a few close-up shots of the Hogwarts Express.

Unfortunately, his photography skills weren't very good; the photos he took were only mediocre.

Luckily, Luke probably anticipated this and prepared plenty of film for him.

"This one's good." Albert picked a photo with the train engine, nodded in satisfaction, and returned to his compartment.

He sat by the window, half-hidden, looking out at the platform. After a while, the number of passengers on the platform gradually increased, and it even started to drizzle.

"I always feel like it rains every time I go to Hogwarts," Albert couldn't help but grumble, feeling that arriving early was the right decision.

The Wizards on the platform were all holding umbrellas, hastily bidding farewell to their families in the rain, looking a bit disheveled.

He wondered how many familiar faces he would see?

Albert didn't expect to meet the protagonist just yet. He entered Hogwarts earlier than Harry Potter, so he should be in the same year as the Weasley Brothers and Cedric Diggory.

It was also fortunate that he wasn't in the same year as the savior. Albert didn't want to have too much to do with Potter.

After all, that was the savior, born with both the protagonist halo and the death-seeking halo. If an ordinary person were affected without a luck halo to protect them, they might just die, and Cedric Diggorywas an example.

The rain outside grew heavier. Albert pulled the window gap a little smaller. After Shera had eaten her fill, she began to doze off; owls were, after all, nocturnal birds.

Taking a chocolate candy from his pocket, he opened the wrapper and put it in his mouth, listening to the rain outside. Albert was in a good mood.

As long as he wasn't caught in the rain, he didn't dislike it.

The train Hallway gradually became lively, but Alberthad his compartment door closed, so the noise from the Hallway didn't affect him much.

He opened "dark forces: a guide to self-protection" and slowly flipped through it, using reading to pass the time. Albert had read this book more than once, and he had tried some of the spells in it.

In fact, throughout the summer holiday, Albert had tried all the magic he knew, except for the Unforgivable Curses. He had even tried the Patronus Charm, but naturally, he hadn't succeeded.

"Hurry, hurry, the train is about to depart!"

On the platform, a group of people caught Albert's attention. A family was hastily saying goodbye, including a pair of red-haired Twins.

"Is this the Weasley family ?" Albert observed this famous group, finding them quite amusing. Especially Ron Weasley, who still looked a bit silly at the moment. Next to Ron was a girl, who must be Ginny. She was clinging tightly to Mrs. Weasley, seemingly sad that she couldn't go to Hogwarts.

Albert compared Ginny to his own sister. Hmm, his own sister was indeed cuter.

The Weasley family seemed a bit rushed, probably delayed by something before coming to the station.

Albert withdrew his gaze because someone was knocking on the door.

Standing outside the compartment door was a Black young man.
