Chapter 130 - [130] Clash of Titans – Brogy Strikes First!

After two days of sailing, Ross's ships arrived at the waters where Little Garden was located.

During this time, he also received an invitation and request from Cobra, which was his duty, so Ross readily agreed.

Even after the Den Den Mushi hung up, Ross could feel the meaningful gazes of the girls.

However, he ultimately ignored these stares.

Those who aspire to great things cannot be swayed by such trivial matters.

"This is the Little Garden? It's said that this has always been an uninhabited island, but it's home to a large number of ancient species, which some pirates use as a supply point."

Sora stood at the bow of the ship, gazing at the volcanic island in the distance that still retained a very pristine ecosystem.

From a topographical perspective, Little Garden wasn't particularly large, only a few dozen square kilometers in size. But she had read about the area, and it was rich in biodiversity, even including dinosaurs and some terrestrial species that were extinct elsewhere.

"Aside from those two giants, there shouldn't be anything else worth worrying about here."

Gion's fingers rubbed the hilt of her sword, her face showing eagerness.

Back in Ohara, Zane and Zephyr had taken down a giant who had once been a Vice Admiral in the Marines.

The opportunity to fight against the giants was something that excited Gion.

"I'd like to collect some biological samples from the island; they might come in handy later," Sora suggested.

Ross had taught her a modern approach to scientific research, but so far she hadn't started anything beyond the methodology.

She didn't even have many samples.

Drum Island had facilities for conducting human experiments, but the doctors there were resistant to these practices, and Sora didn't want to go against the local customs.

Anyway, Ross had already told her to focus on accumulating knowledge first, and that the arrangements for the lab and experimental materials had already been made in the Holy Land.

By the time they returned to the Holy Land, Sora's laboratory would be fully built.

"Zephyr, please protect Sora."

Ross nodded slightly and looked at Zephyr, who was walking toward the deck.

Zephyr had been quite idle these days. Drum Island didn't need Zephyr much, and he occasionally went to hunt pirates nearby.

"Leave it to me."

Zephyr grinned and readily agreed.

Although many of Ross's actions might make him frown, they were not so unacceptable compared to the actual things Ross was doing.

Moreover, he knew about the bloodline factor; it was indeed a good thing.

Using it on him, even if it didn't necessarily improve his strength further, Sora had assured him that if the research succeeded, his strength wouldn't decline with age over the next few decades, which was enough for him.

"Gion, come with me to meet those two giants."

Ross quickly arranged the itinerary, sending Sora and Zephyr as a team to hunt for biological samples, while he and Gion went to find the two giants.

He originally wanted to try taking on two giants one-on-one to test his current strength, but seeing Gion's expectant look, he thought it would be better to let Gion try.

The ship quickly approached Little Garden.

Little Garden was an uninhabited island; there was no such thing as a port.

Ross picked up Sora in a princess carry, with Zephyr and Gion following on either side. The three of them used Geppo to leap over a hundred meters and land on the island.

Do you want me to clear the area?

Ross looked at Sora in his arms.

He had just used his Observation Haki to pinpoint the location of the two giants.

If Sora needed to clear the area, he could unleash Conqueror's Haki to stun most of the creatures on the island, making it easier for her to collect samples.

"No, no, I still need to collect data on their movements," Sora quickly shook her head.

"Okay."

Ross gently put Sora down, nodded to Zephyr, and led Gion toward the two giants.

He had been eyeing those two experience pets, which were at least A-grade, for a long time.

Who are you!?

Ross and Gion made no attempt to conceal their presence; the two giants discovered their arrival as soon as they approached within a kilometer.

One of the giants roared, stood up from his rest, and glared at the two who had suddenly barged in.

With their combat instincts, they instantly sensed that Ross was up to no good.

"Dorry and Brogy?"

Ross stood steadily not far from the two men, his eyes scanning the two giants, who were hundreds of meters tall.

This was the second time he had seen giants. Compared to Saul, who was as fat as a chubby man, Dorry and Brogy were much taller and exuded a powerful aura. Combined with their shields, axes, armor, and cloaks, they gave them an even more warrior-like appearance.

Both of them were captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates, and could be considered top fighters among the giants.

"I am Dorry!"

The tall, thin giant with a long beard, Dorry, answered in a deep voice.

[Dorry]

"I am Brogy!"

The chubby-faced, burly giant Brogy responded in a deep voice.

[Brogy]

"What do you want with us! You lackeys of the World Government!"

After they finished speaking, they roared at Ross and Gion at the same time, and without hesitation picked up their swords, axes, and shields.

They saw the World Government insignia on Ross and Gion's cloaks; only members of the World Government would wear such cloaks.

The Giant Kingdom was not a member state, and its relationship with the World Government was not that good; in fact, some of its members had some minor grudges against the World Government.

To prevent the Giant Kingdom from being invaded by the World Government, the Giant Kingdom selected some members of its people each generation to join the Marines and work for the World Government.

Such a policy of compromise was not acceptable to everyone.

Dorry and Brogy had formed the Giant Warrior Pirates because they didn't want to suffer this injustice, which was why they left the Giant Kingdom.

The fact that World Government representatives appeared with no goodwill immediately aroused their hostility.

"It seems there's no need to say much more, and I don't really want to say anything anyway."

Ross chuckled lightly, completely unconcerned by their hostility, and turned to Gion, asking:

Which one do you choose?

Can I choose all of them?

Gion touched the hilt of her sword, her beautiful eyes gleaming with intense fighting spirit.

"Your speed and fruit strength are an advantage against these big guys, but you won't last long. You can't take down two of them."

Ross smiled and shook his head. The main reason was that he was also itching to play.

Such a big target must be really exciting to shoot at.

"Then I'll choose the thinner one; it looks stronger."

Gion saw through Ross's thoughts and gently pulled out Konpira.

"Brogy, listen to them, they all think I'm stronger."

Dorry laughed heartily, but his gaze remained fixed on Gion, his massive hand holding a greatsword tens of meters long.

Jokes aside.

The moment Gion drew her sword, he clearly felt a strong sense of threat.

"Hahaha, Don't you see? That man is the leader. Come on, let me show you the power of our giant race!"

Brogy laughed and raised his axe. The massive axe came crashing down from the sky, hurtling toward Ross.

He would be the one to start this battle!
