"Mukade…"
"In the name of the Queen, I command you—stop all puppet production immediately and release every citizen you've enslaved!"
Still shaken but clinging to her authority, Sārah shouted her order with innocence and disbelief.
She hadn't fully processed that Mukade — her trusted minister was the architect of this nightmare.
"Oh? So you've already learned that much…"
Mukade's voice twisted into a strange, sinister tone.
"In that case, I can't allow you to live any longer."
Because he was listening to Sārah's voice, he still hadn't noticed Yagami's group standing by the fence below.
"You… what are you saying?"
Sārah's eyes widened, her voice trembling.
She still couldn't believe he would truly harm her.
Mukade sneered.
"Are you deaf? You were always just a puppet in my plan!"
He raised both hands high, expression slipping further into madness.
Now that everything was exposed, he felt no need to hide anything.
"Is this the guy Minato found troublesome?"
Yagami muttered from the observation deck, unimpressed.
"Now that I've completed my puppet army, I no longer need your Ryūmyaku at all!"
Mukade's grin twisted as he flicked his hands—
FWIP—!
Countless chakra threads exploded from the ceiling.
All unfinished puppets snapped to life, their frames connecting with metallic clicks and clanks.
They were assembling themselves.
Swoosh—!
In a single blur, Yagami vanished from his spot.
Before Mukade even processed what happened—
Shing—
Yagami's blade flashed past his right side.
Puff…
Mukade's head separated cleanly from his neck and spun into the air.
Everyone froze.
Mukade's raving speech was cut short — literally.
"Heh… villains die from talking too much."
Yagami's voice echoed coolly.
In the canon movie, this clown actually fought Naruto for a full arc.
Truly baffling.
Probably just "plot armor."
CRACK—!!
Before anyone could celebrate, a surge of purple chakra burst through the wall like a thunderclap.
Ka-ka… ka-ka…!
Mukade's corpse convulsed.
His severed head lifted
And reattached itself with a grotesque noise.
He stood up again.
"Huh. Well now…"
Yagami arched a brow, intrigued.
If Mukade died that easily, he'd be a pretty sorry excuse for a movie villain.
"Konoha's… SWORD MANIAC!!"
Mukade roared from the tower, his voice filled with rage as he finally noticed Yagami.
"Sword Maniac…?"
Yagami muttered, blinking.
"Ahem… that's… what the future ninja world calls me…"
Future Kakashi stepped forward awkwardly.
His face was stiff.
Being called a "Sword Maniac" in front of his own teacher — whose swordsmanship put his to shame — was mortifying.
"You're Konoha's Sword Maniac?"
Yagami asked blankly. "Then what is my name?"
Kakashi coughed.
"O-of course your title is much more impressive. But uh… it's better not to say it now, so we don't interfere with the future…"
"Hm…"
Yagami nodded reluctantly.
Truthfully, if Sword Maniac was his legacy, he'd be offended.
How was he supposed to compete with:
Senju Hashirama — The God of Shinobi
Uchiha Madara — The Ghost of the Uchiha
…and he's "Sword Maniac"?
No thanks.
"Alright then… shall we fight?"
Future Kakashi stepped forward, drawing his sword with a calm, imposing aura.
He truly looked like a master swordsman now.
"I don't need that kind of ridiculous title!"
Mukade shouted, expression twitching with madness.
"I am Rōran's minister — Lord Mukade!!"
With a wild gesture of his hands—
THUD! THUD! THUD! ×8
Heavy mechanical footsteps thundered across the factory floor.
Dozens—no, hundreds—of puppets activated simultaneously, surrounding Sārah and Naruko in a tightening circle.
"Mukade is yours."
Yagami said to Kakashi, then pulled Naruko protectively behind him.
Tekuno rushed forward as well, pulling out two crossbows loaded with explosive tags.
He took position beside Yagami without hesitation.
