eli felt his soul fly out his body after listening to the ridiculous amount of money, that kind of money seemed to be the bounty for dangerous criminals and normal civilians like him.
he was flabbergasted by the bounty, and utterly unsurprised by the driver's actions, he really was a golden goose to be torn apart right now but, "driver hardy, i assure you the Briar family will be willing to pay more than double, if only.... you could send me back."

it was still dark outside when eli heard a loud bang. hurried footsteps entered the room, eli was suddenly yanked to his feet before he could even open his eyes. His head buzzed from the sudden moment, his throat felt scratchy, " what the fuck dude?!" He cursed at the young man, whose name he still didn't know. his mouth was suddenly covered with a sweaty gritty hand, "shhhhhh," the young man whisper loudly, his face was covered with sweat and he seemed like he'd looked the devil in the eye, his thin tattered shirt stuck to his quivering body, was soaked in sweat, he pulled eli to the other side of the room behind a old fixture, and shoved him hastily inside a trapdoor as he cursed, "shut the hell up and move it!" and stepped through the door muttering about his stupid uncle. but it was too late, a gloved hand grabbed the young man's neck like a puppy's scruff and pulled him back before he could enter the tunnel. the young man's eyes widened, "WE HAD A DEAL!!!" screamed again and again, trying to cover his head.
Eli looked up in shock and, slide backwards.
the hand belonged to a body covered in tactile gear, his demeanor was akin to a robot soldier, the young man's face was full of terror, as he knelt on the dirty cement floor,"you guys can have him, i don't need a cent",he whimpered hands joined in prayer pleading for his life apologizing for his wrongs and promising to be a upstanding citizen all his life, but the devil behind the mask seemed to not hear a word.
BANG! the shot rang throughout the abandoned building, "we will." the mercenary said as he shot him in the head.
the young man lays bleeding on the floor, his face permanently consorted to a look of terror. the soldier, stepped over his body towards eli, who was frozen in fear, of witnessing a murder, his mind blanked eli turned around and went deep into the tunnel, he could hear the mercenary trying to make his way behind him. eli's heart quivered with fear, sweat dripped from his face as he crawled with his hands tied in front of him, he couldn't see a exit in from of him, suddenly a hand grabbed his leg and yanked him harshly.
"a feisty one" he heard a woman's voice, as she kept yanking his whole body out the tunnel. eli's breath had become laboured, he could barely see. he was yanked one final time and his body fell to the ground in a warm liquid. his heart shuddered, he nose picked up a iron smell, and he in horror.
the woman kicked in him the stomach, "shut up!!noisy" he whimpered as he curled up into a ball, his mind threatening to blackout. eli faintly heard one of the mercenary talk into his intercom, "target acquired" ,as his companion, stepped forward, and shoved eli's head to a side and exposed his neck.
eli felt a prick in his gland, and his blood ran cold, he wanted to scream, kick shout, suddenly turn into rambo and defeat everyone single handedly but all of that was nothing but a pipe dream.
"wha...what did you ....do?" eli managed to choke out. his body started to heat up uncomfortably and his skin started to redden, energy started to leave his body, he fell to the ground only to be picked up like tote bag and carried out of the mill. he was then zip tied, gagged and shoved into the back seat of a armoured truck.
