Clark Kent, looking down at the mountains and rivers rushing beneath him, at the clouds effortlessly torn apart by his muscular body, felt his heart swell with exhilaration."Humanity," Clark squinted, applying his microscopic vision, which became like an optical telescope through which he observed the people below on Earth. "How utterly insignificant they are."
As Clark flew, a Boeing 747 suddenly appeared from the clouds, passing right by him.Inside the plane, a girl with wide eyes stared at the figure hovering above the clouds and screamed:"Mom! Look quickly—it's Superman!"
The blonde woman sitting next to her initially didn't want to look, but tired of her daughter's insistence, she finally turned her head.Above the sea of clouds hovered a still silhouette, vaguely human-like.A wave of astonished exclamations and shouts rippled through the cabin:"He's flying!""Is that Superman?"
But the plane wasn't going to stop for their sake, and the human silhouette instantly vanished from view."Superman," Clark's eyes flared crimson. He whispered, "Excellent! I…"
With his photographic memory, the joyful face of his mother appeared before him, recalling when he was born: "I name my son Clark Kent. He will become the most perfect, strongest, and bravest man in the world! He will become Superman!""From now on, I am Superman!"
Clark tilted his head and directed a crimson beam at his chest. The searing rays, like a torrential flow, swept across his torso. His skin cracked, blood oozed out, which he immediately incinerated, forming a shield with a bloody-red "S" in its center."I am Clark Kent—Superman!"
Clark smiled with satisfaction, fulfilling his mother's dream, and in the next instant, he vanished into the skies at incredible speed.
The capital of South Korea—Seoul.Upon arriving, Clark immediately noticed a disabled long train hurtling straight toward a crowd of people.
Ever since Iron Man had appeared to the world, Clark Kent had been monitoring him using his super-hearing and vision, and later, the rest of the Avengers. What had once been mere curiosity of an admiring youth had now become a mission: he had come to recruit super-powered twins, who, upon learning of Ultron's insane plan to destroy humanity, would join the side of good.Clark needed powerful allies for his further plans.
He descended directly in front of the train and, raising his hands, stopped it by pressing his palms against the metal body. His invisible force field fully enveloped the train, absorbing all the impact and instantly halting its momentum. The train, as if crashing into an iron wall, came to a near-instant stop. Yet no one inside was harmed: the force field controlled every cubic meter of space, maintaining perfect balance.
Finished, Clark floated inside the train. Before him stood three people: the twins Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, and Captain America.
"Who are you?" Captain America asked calmly but warily, studying the flying man.Wanda froze, her eyes widening:"That can't be…"Pietro merely muttered loudly, squinting in disbelief:"I'm not dreaming, am I?"
"You know each other?" Captain America asked the twins, slightly surprised."Not exactly…" Wanda replied softly, her gaze fixed on Clark. How could he really be here?"Hey, old man, do you even read comics?" Pietro snapped sarcastically. "Or do you watch TV at all?""I watch TV," Captain America replied calmly. "Mostly films about World War II or modern action movies.""No wonder you're so ignorant," Wanda remarked quietly, with a hint of mockery."Wait… is he really that famous?" Steve squinted, trying to make sense of it all. "If so, I would have definitely heard of him…""Dude, it's Superman!" Pietro could no longer contain himself and covered his face with his hand. "Damn Superman, the hero of comics, movies, TV… he's everywhere! How can you, an American, not know him?!""Superman…" Steve finally realized. "Wait… he's a fictional character, right?""Not exactly," Wanda gave Clark a careful look. "For us, he seems very real indeed."
"Well, are we done with the introductions?" Clark said calmly, looking down at them."Yeah, Mr. Superman!" Pietro grinned broadly, like a thrilled teenager meeting his idol. "You really exist, right? I'm not dreaming, right?!""Indeed. It's me. You're not dreaming, Pietro. I exist," Clark said calmly, nodding slightly."Incredible!" Pietro exclaimed, eyes shining with excitement. "Wait… how do you know about me? Ah, of course! Super-hearing, right? You hear everything in the world, so naturally, you know about me too!""Correct."
"Don't want to interrupt your little chat," Steve interjected, watching Clark cautiously, "but I have a couple of questions for you… Superman.""Not now, Captain America," Clark said serenely, shaking his head. "We'll talk later. I need to take the twins with me. You can go."
Wanda and Pietro exchanged glances, and Pietro couldn't resist:"This is really happening?! We're right now… with Superman?!"Wanda took a deep breath, focusing:"Sorry, Superman, but we can't go with you yet. We still have an important task.""You mean Ultron?" Clark asked with noticeable disdain. "For me, he's just a pile of ash.""Maybe for you, Superman," Steve replied calmly but firmly. "But for us, he is a serious enemy.""Fine," Clark nodded, his voice calm but firm. "I'll help you deal with Ultron. But in return, you twins will join my side… in my team."
Wanda and Pietro exchanged glances, their eyes widening."You… seriously?" Wanda asked quietly, still unable to believe it. "You're asking us… to join your team?"Pietro couldn't contain his excitement:"Ha! What a twist!" He grinned widely, barely containing his joy. "So we're really going to be on the same team as Superman?!"
Steve frowned, watching them:"Wait… is this safe? We've barely met him, and you're already ready to join?"Clark looked up confidently and calmly:"For me, your abilities and decisions matter, not how long we've known each other. I know you're capable of more than just waiting for events to unfold."
Wanda took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts:"Fine. If you're truly ready to help us with Ultron, then… alright. We agree."Pietro jumped, unable to hide his joy:"Excellent! Then let's go, Superman, and show this Ultron who he's dealing with!"
Steve shook his head but smiled quietly:"Well… this will be interesting. But keep me informed, okay?"Clark nodded, smiling:"Of course. Let's get to work."
