Chapter 178 - Blood, Farewell And An Ultimatum

[The previous night, after Kazien returned from meeting Hellius and Wexler]

It was getting late at the Altavis family mansion in Lazavis City. The night wind blew gently outside the window, but the warmth was still felt inside the family room. Everyone was still gathered, enjoying the remaining time together before parting ways.

The family room door opened. Kazien walked in with a fresh face, as if he hadn't just done anything.

Realizing her son had returned, Duchess Larina, who was sitting on the sofa, immediately turned her head. Her motherly instinct was always sharp when it came to her son's whereabouts.

"Where have you been, Kazien?" asked Duchess Larina gently but inquisitively. "What were you doing out there alone this late at night?"

Kazien walked closer to the center table, then smiled casually. "Ah... I just came from the military complex. I gave my blood to Commander Hellius and Vice Commander Wexler."

The room was silent for a moment.

"What for?" asked Duke Elgard, his brow furrowed.

"So that they become stronger and live longer." answered Kazien lightly. "They are the pillars of our territory's defense. I want to ensure they remain strong to protect Lazavis in the future."

Hearing that explanation, everyone's eyes in the room widened. Kazien's three fiancés, Alvin, Allen, and Arken also seemed most surprised. They knew very well how dangerous it would be if Kazien's power was leaked.

"My Love!" exclaimed Allen, his voice rising an octave due to panic mixed with worry. He got up from his seat and approached Kazien. "What are you doing? Why did you do that? What if people find out the truth about your blood? It could trigger a war over it!"

Kazien patted Allen's shoulder gently to calm him down. "No need to worry, Allen. Hellius and Wexler are the people most loyal to Father and our family. They are very capable of keeping secrets. I trust them."

Without waiting for further debate, Kazien moved his hand. From his storage dimension space, he took out more than fifteen small glass bottles containing thick red liquid emitting a faint glow.

Clack! Clack! Clack!

The bottles lined up neatly on the sturdy oak table.

"Father, Mother, and my sisters and brothers..." said Kazien seriously, looking at his family one by one. "This is my blood stock. If you want to drink it, drink it! Keep this safe. Maybe this will help if the great chaos arrives later. You will have much greater physical and magical strength to help me destroy those dungeons."

Duke Elgard and Duchess Larina stared at the row of bottles with disbelief. Not because of the power offered, but because of its origin.

"Kazien!" snapped Duke Elgard, his voice rising not out of anger, but out of concern. "Have you gone mad? Why are you distributing your blood like this? You are indeed immortal, but your body is still a physical body that needs blood to function!"

"Your father is right, Kazien!" added Duchess Larina, her eyes glassy. She held her son's arm. "You can't be like this! Don't you think about your own health?"

Kazien understood his parents' concerns very well. Immortality is a concept difficult for mortals to understand. However, he smiled sincerely, trying to convince them.

"Father, Mother, it's okay." said Kazien softly. "Even though this much of my blood was taken, I don't feel weak. My body regeneration is very fast. Please just keep this, okay? Who knows in the future you might need it in urgent situations."

Duke Elgard looked deeply into his son's eyes. He saw unwavering determination there.

What he said is true, he looks healthy. thought Duke Elgard. But my son... I'm sute he will definitely remain stubborn to protect his family, even if it hurts himself.

Duke Elgard sighed deeply, his shoulders dropping in resignation.

"It seems we have no other choice but to accept it." said Duke Elgard resignedly.

Kazien immediately smiled in relief hearing his father's answer. "Thank you, Father."

Duke Elgard then took two thick document folders from the side of the table and placed them in front of Kazien.

"Those two documents are the official application to adopt Arken as our son and also the adoption document for Erica as Elisa's legitimate daughter. Please hand them directly to His Majesty the King to be immediately ratified and recorded in the noble lineage."

Kazien took the documents respectfully. "Alright, Father! I will keep them. Once these documents are ratified and stamped by the King, I will immediately send them back here using teleportation!"

Duke Elgard nodded in understanding. Kazien then handed Erica's document to Elisa standing nearby.

"Aunt Elisa, this is the document. We can't possibly go to the palace because we have to study at the academy. I ask for your help to deliver it to the palace through the guild."

"Yes, I will definitely ask my subordinates to send it to His Majesty at the palace." answered Elisa casually.

After the document and blood matters were finished, it was time to say goodbye.

"Brother Elgard, Sister Larina..." Elisa bid farewell while holding Erica's hand. "We are returning to the capital first. Tomorrow very early in the morning, Erica and Arken must register at the academy."

"Yes. And make sure you are always healthy there!" answered Duke Elgard, looking at his sister and children.

"Take good care of yourselves!" chimed in Duchess Elara with a mother's concern.

Kazien immediately prepared himself. Mana in his body began to surge, preparing the long-distance teleportation coordinates to the capital mansion.

However, before the spell was fully active, suddenly a little girl figure ran towards Kazien.

Ritalia, his beautiful adopted younger sister, immediately hugged Kazien's waist tightly. Her face buried in her brother's chest.

"Brother..." squeaked Ritalia. "Don't forget to read and reply to my letter later, okay?"

Kazien smiled gently. He returned his sister's hug and rubbed her small back affectionately.

"Yes, Ritalia. I promise I will definitely reply to your letter and send it here using teleportation." comforted Kazien. "Hopefully there won't be any more trouble after we return to the capital, so I have plenty of free time to write letters."

Ritalia looked up, staring at her brother with sparkling eyes, then released her hug reluctantly.

Once the hug was released, Kazien looked at his entire family standing to see them off.

"Everyone, we are leaving now! See you again!" said Kazien while waving his hand.

Beside him; Elisa, Alvin, Allen, and Arken also waved their hands with wide smiles.

Meanwhile Erica, she waved her hand awkwardly. Her feelings were mixed between confusion, nervousness, and amazement seeing this family interaction.

Magic activated!

White light began to shine brightly from the floor, forming a complex magic circle surrounding the six of them.

"Erica!" shouted Kazien warning amidst the hum of mana sound. "Close your eyes tight! I don't want you to vomit or get dizzy from the painful effect when moving space in an instant!"

The panicked Erica spontaneously closed her eyes tight while holding the hem of Elisa's shirt.

Right before they disappeared, a cold and pressure-filled voice was heard splitting the air.

"Kazien."

It was the voice of Selena, his eldest sister.

"Don't just make Eternity contracts with random people there again! Your three fiancés are enough!" threatened Selena suddenly, her eyes staring sharply as sharp as a sword. "Watch out if you do it carelessly and add to your harem again!"

Gasp!

Kazien flinched in shock. Cold sweat dripped down his temples upon hearing the harsh ultimatum from his eldest sister.

"Th-That..."

Before Kazien could answer or defend himself, the teleportation magic had already reached its peak.

Zap!

In the blink of an eye, Kazien, Elisa, Erica, and his three fiancés disappeared from the family room in Lazavis City, leaving fading particles of light.
