Linton's POV
The first council meeting with our new Rogue King, and the bastard doesn't show up. We've been sitting here for nearly forty minutes. I've called his phone, sent texts, even dispatched someone to check what the hell is happening.
This isn't right. Warner has never been late to anything in his life. And there's no way Arlene would let it slide, not with her obsessive need for control, especially after spending time around Bernard's military precision.
Knowles breaks the uncomfortable silence. "Well, I guess this is what we get for letting a piece of shit like Warner into our inner circle. Won't make that mistake again."
"We should give them more time," Charlie suggests quietly. "This isn't his style."
"It's been over an hour." Morgana spins in her chair, making frustrated noises. "I'm dying of boredom here."
