Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: perhaps i need you

The ancient city of Kyoto held its breath under a blanket of twilight. Lanterns cast a warm glow on the narrow, winding streets, their light dancing across the intricate wooden facades of traditional houses. For Kota, the city was a labyrinth of hidden corners and whispered secrets, a place where he felt both drawn in and utterly lost.

He was sitting in a small, secluded tea house, the scent of matcha and incense filling the air. His hands trembled slightly as he held the delicate ceramic cup, the warmth doing little to soothe the nervous flutter in his chest. He was waiting.

He didn't have to wait long. The sliding door of the tea house opened with a soft creak, and Rion entered. Rion, with his broad shoulders, intense gaze, and the quiet authority that always seemed to surround him. Rion, who had become Kota's unexpected anchor in this swirling sea of uncertainty.

Rion's eyes found Kota immediately, a flicker of something unreadable passing across his face. He moved with a quiet grace, settling down opposite of Kota. The air crackled with unspoken tension.

"You look troubled," Rion said, his voice a low rumble that resonated within the small space.

Kota blushed, his cheeks burning. "Just… thinking."

Rion leaned forward, his gaze intense. "About?"

Kota hesitated, his fingers tracing the rim of his cup. He couldn't bring himself to meet Rion's eyes. The truth was, he was thinking about Rion. About the way Rion's presence filled a room, the way his touch sent shivers down Kota's spine, the way his protective nature both comforted and overwhelmed him.

Rion reached across the small table, his fingers gently covering Kota's hand. The contact was electric, sending a jolt of pure sensation through Kota. He finally looked up, his eyes meeting Rion's. He saw a depth of emotion there, a possessiveness that both thrilled and terrified him.

"You don't have to be afraid," Rion murmured, his voice husky. "I'm here."

Kota swallowed, his throat suddenly dry. He knew what "here" meant. He knew the unspoken desires that simmered beneath the surface of their quiet moments together. He knew the way Rion's eyes devoured him, the way his touch promised a world of pleasure and surrender.

He nodded slowly, the silence between them thick with anticipation.

Rion's thumb brushed against Kota's knuckles, sending a wave of heat through him. "Let me show you," he whispered, his voice barely audible above the soft sounds of the tea house.

Kota's breath hitched. He closed his eyes, his heart pounding in his chest. He could feel Rion's gaze on him, burning into his skin. He felt a sense of surrender, a willingness to be swept away, to be consumed by the fire that burned between them.

He opened his eyes, meeting Rion's gaze. "Yes," he breathed, the word a mere whisper.

Rion's lips curved into a slow, predatory smile. He leaned closer, his breath warm against Kota's ear. "Good," he murmured. "Let's go somewhere more private."

He stood up, his hand still entwined with Kota's. He led Kota out of the tea house and into the moonlit streets of Kyoto, the promise of a night of passion and discovery hanging heavy in the air. The ancient city, with its secrets and its shadows, seemed to hold its breath, waiting to witness the unfolding of their desires.
