POV: Dante
When Aurora admits that the graphics are hers, the mood changes.
They are no longer evaluating a nervous omega. They are deciding what to do with the woman who lit the fuse.
The Council president interlaces his fingers.
"Miss Vega's admission is on record," he says. "And so is Noir's involvement. Director Noir, do you stand by what we just heard?"
My father answers before I do.
"Umbra's position," he says, "is that agreements are respected. Including those that prohibit the use of inside information to stir up public opinion."
He doesn't look at me.
The wolf growls. I approach the microphone.
"Shadows' position," I correct, "is that we do not cover up patterns of abuse. Umbra was created to see what others prefer to ignore. That includes what they did to Aurora."
A murmur runs through the table.
A representative from Valcourt leans forward.
