Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Grandmaster vs Master vs Disciple

AN: Due to certain uncertainties I will take liberations with filling certain gaps with non-canon lore or my own personal theories. This chapter was kinda scuffed but I assume it's alright. I'm going to get into my own subplot and a really huge theory soon. Hint, I think a certain continent on a planet is a scepter.

 Soon an envoy hurriedly opened the door to the residence with a panicked expression.

"Grandmaster! You have been summoned for battle. You are to head towards the coordinates sent to you in order to execute the traitor Jingliu.

By order of the new General of the Loufu, Jing Yuan."

The tea cup within his hand shattered even as his face remained unchanged. The envoy seemed to realise something was wrong.

"Is something wrong sir?" The envoy asked as he gulped staring at concealed eyes.

"Nothing is wrong. Have the information sent to me now. I'll head over as quick as I can." Taigong sighed as he exited the house leaving only Yueyu and Jiaoqiu alone.

"I'd like to welcome my new fellow general colleague but I think it's best we prepare to welcome the next one after him." Yueyu shook her head in exasperation.

Jiaoqiu smiled with a small hint of schadenfreude, "That Jing Yuan fella sure works fast, predicting Taigong's response and even submitting the request in advance. Such formidable foresight."

Both stared at the ceiling wondering if this would be the shortest appointed general in history. ~~~~

Taigong slowly walked past the frozen battlefield, dozens of frozen soldiers and chunks of blood scattered about. A single wave as the flames burnt them all to ash leaving them to float away into the cosmos.

Sounds of battle echoed in the distance.

Perhaps Taigong had grown a bit too attached to peaceful life. But being dragged into master and disciple matters were crossing the line.

Floating buildings nearby remained as Taigong gripped the corner of it and wrapped it up in flames before chucking it towards the two fighters.

A surge of golden lightning and cold ice separated as the building landed in the middle of them.

On top stood the Xianzhou Yaoqing's Grandmaster at Arms.

"What a sight for sore eyes. How low you've fallen Jingliu." Taigong gazed at this unofficial disciple of a few months before staring at Jing Yuan.

"Brat, you will lose your master, but you will still have me. And if you can't accept me, I'll beat you until you recognise me." Taigong glared at Jing Yuan who nodded, he knew he would be punished after for dragging the Grandmaster into this issue.

"Watch out!" Jing Yuan raised his guan dao to attempt to block the blow for him only to be flicked away.

A surge of heat emerged from Taigong's body as the ice melted before it could even reach.

"You stay out of this, I'd prefer you to look away because I'm going to be a bit rough." A random chunk of wood was ripped out the building before he used it to trade blows.

If Jingliu was still sane, she'd have long recognised the hints of Imaginary String Collapse. Futures were being crushed one at a time.

All possibilities were slowly being strangled one by one until her inevitable death would come.

The longer he fought, the weaker Jingliu's attacks became until even her techniques had become exhausted.

"I may not recognise you as my disciple, but by all definitions you are. You once said your wish was a blade to cut the stars. So be it, I will send you off with your own blade." Taigong sighed.

In an instant the two traded blows but her sword was seized.

Taigong's body rose into the air with the newfound weapon. "All will be revealed..."

"In lunar something... I forgot."

The sword swung as the moonlight glistened off its blade. The sword was swung as a cleavage of ice was sent towards her.

A cavern was split upon the planet they stood before exploding the ice spread throughout the entire planet before piercing in every direction.

The planet now resembled like a giant spike ball before the planet collapsed slowly.

Jing Yuan soon ran towards him as the planet slowly collapsed only to see a strange face on Taigong. It was like if he tasted a giant bitter and sour lemon.

He too felt sad over his master's death, but the circumstances required and putting her down was better than allowing her to live in insanity and desecrate everything she stood for.

Taigong simply thought to Jingliu's last moments of sanity being returned.

Putting a rabid dog was one thing, but that rabid dog suddenly recovered even a little bit when the injection was already done was something that didn't sit right with him.

Her last words stung even though he didn't think too much of it.

"Thank you master, you are just as absurd as ever. Take care of Jing Yuan for me." Before being consumed in lunar... oh right flames.

Jing Yuan watched as Taigong approached him slowly but speeding up.

"Hey, hey! Wait stop!"

Howls of pain and tears were heard on the battlefield, 20% were from crying for his master. 80% were crying from beatings. Both tears, two birds one stone.

"I'll let Yueyu know about my decision. It wouldn't be too hard to go back to the Yaoqing using the quantum sea." Jing Yuan recovered from his bruised buttocks as he raised an eyebrow.

"I will be staying on the Loufu to train you into a proper general, one on par with Yueyu of the Yaoqing." Taigong glanced at Jing Yuan who froze.

"Have a problem?" He asked.

Jing Yuan shook his head furiously, "No of course not Grandmaster."

And so the new pair of master and disciple returned to the Xianzhou Loufu, Taigong to fulfill a last wish and Jing Yuan to resume duties of an arbiter general.

~~~~
"How pitiful, I will save you and help you with your mara in return...@^#$#$^"
Crimson eyes awoke to gaze at the blank cosmos. "Abundance will fall."
