Chapter 5 - The Boy on the Ice

When I entered my school, I was surrounded by students and teachers watching my every step. I just followed my path, I just went downstairs at the start of the stairs, Ms. Gilion is waiting for me, he has pointy teeth, with dark void eyes, when he looked at me, he froze every piece of me. When walking downstairs, I'm surrounded by fewer students; at the end of them, two double doors await me, guarded by Miss. Harlintong, my English teacher, she feels like a mini boss that you have to defeat before entering the final boss, or wherever is waiting for me inside.

Entering made my mind rumble, it was a slight and soft headache that passed through my mind. The gym was this big place full of students talking to each other, and those voices jumped into each other continuously, making it an endless cycle where you only heard them talking and understanding them. As I step closer, their voices get bigger and louder; it was unusually louder this time as I walk by them, their eyes were bright as a deer in the night, their skin was pale blue like someone drawn. I didn't enjoy their faces; they were frightening, anxious, terrifying as a synonym, looking the same way, the same direction.

As I sat down in my seat, I stared curiously at the middle of the gym, confused, there was where all of them were looking like they were frozen, because they looked. With a conquer stare, wondering what was about to happen "Kira!!" sounded a loud noise on my side, as I quickly turned on a stumble, and I saw her. She gave me a side eye for a moment "Hi, Kira" she said calmly, her tone changed; it sounded softer I stood in shock for a moment "Oh? um… hi, Alex" I said, stumbling in my own words "It seems someone is still asleep today" she said as she opened a book I glanced at her book for a moment "I'm awake" I said, a bit unsure as I stared at the middle of the gym it grew up, today it seemed so normal "Um… I think" I said regretting my words from before, as she held a different book than the one she had in her lap "Should I wake you up?" she said with a small, intense smirk I just… grab the book from her tired hand. I glance at her as I open the book, she was still waiting for an answer "In a moment" I told her, she turned forward, continuing to read her book.

Gray Shadows is a story about a dad and a young son exploring a grey world full of dust and ashes "Beling, you came!!" a girl screamed at the first row of chairs, they were celebrating a white-haired boy, which seem new I… had to continue reading there no need to get distracted very quickly. They had been exploring these lands of ashes for 6 months, the father thinks that he isn't old enough to continue walking with no end. He has lost hope, but he is young enough to find hope in his son if he were with him had lost long time ago… "You can do it, Beling!!" the scream was heard again as it called my attention I saw him get something from his backpack. A pair of ice skates, he started to put them on, and I looked around, wondering if everyone was seeing this. He stood with the skates on his feet, all the students stood with rhythmic chore "Remi" they were singing with strength I didn't stand up, I pretended to read the book and waited for them to sit down.

"A grey old metal armor was moving into a dust fog, it would be confused with a giant, the armor had these big bright eyes, it would easily be confused with light house. What it hid inside was… a white-haired boy, who was sleeping in a frozen lake as he awake he… " as I was reading, I slowly raised my head, he was still dancing, sweating, with a cold breath, he seemed desperate "Let him be hope," someone whispered in my ear, a rhythmic voice. As I turned around, I glanced at her she had this pale blue skin, and her eyes were bright as a deer into the night "Let him be hope, for me" she repeated, but this time with a raised voice "Please, please" a different voice with the same rhythmic voice "Don't let him break, down" she said as all the student raised their voice "Don't let him break down, don't let him fall" all those voices jumping, jumping, and jumping they stopped to looked the boy in the ice his breathing was falling.

"Let him be hope for us, just this once" someone whispered in my ear, but this once I didn't face it, "Why!!" said a student with bright eyes as it turned to face me "Why do you keep all yourself" said the voice in front but it rhythmic voice broke. They turn to face me with their bright eyes "Let him be hope for us" they sing with rhymic voice "Just this once!!" they sing, stronger with a break in each word.

All of them turned to see the boy in the ice who was still dancing "Don't let him break down, don't let him fall" they sang, repeating it while he danced, as the ice "Hey, hey, don't let him break down, don't let him fall" they sang as the ice kept breaking, but he still was dancing. "WAKE UP!!" Alex said as she snapped

her finger, those voices slowly started to come back, and light started to come back. Alex looked at me for a second while them come back "Are you awake?" she asked with little interest showing as she rarely glanced at me while reading. My eyes were locked into her "I'm awake" I said as I turned to look forward in the middle of the gym. The boy in the ice had disappeared; now I wonder if he fell.

When the first bell of the day rings, all the students stand up and start walking to their classes, as I exited the gym, I could feel them they were like deer in the nights with those bright eyes "Why? why?" one of them whisper in my left ear with a broken tone "I have lost hope" the other one whisper in my right ear.

"His sons lay in his lap with pale blue skin, but still with bright eyes, as if he were alive. Remi felt he already lost hope, but it was slowly falling."
