Chapter 2 - CHAPTER TWO — A GODDESS STEPS INTO HELL

Silence was impossible in Hell, yet when Noctis entered, the entire underworld forgot how to breathe.

Every torch flickered out.

Every soul froze mid-scream.

Every demon bowed instinctively, as if some ancient instinct commanded them:

Do. Not. Move.

Noctis stepped through the ruptured barrier with the serenity of a drifting star. Shadows bent around her like obedient pets. The hem of her cosmic robes brushed against the floor, leaving trails of starlight that hissed before fading.

Her mismatched eyes scanned the hall until they found him.

Delta.

Her smile grew — too soft for someone who had just shattered the defenses of Hell.

"I missed you," she whispered, voice echoing through every layer of the underworld.

Delta exhaled sharply. "You broke the barrier."

"Yes."

She stepped closer. "It was in my way."

Hades stepped between them instantly, one hand on his obsidian spear.

"Noctis," he growled, "your presence here risks destabilizing the Underworld."

Noctis looked at him with mild amusement.

"You kept him from me, Hades. I don't appreciate that."

"He is not yours," Hades snarled.

"He isn't yours either."

The hall trembled — not from anger, but from the sheer pressure of two cosmic entities staring each other down. Varkos collapsed to one knee. Morvanna looked away entirely. Selene's mask cracked.

Delta rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"Guys," he muttered, "not the time."

Noctis' attention snapped back to him immediately, expression softening again.

"Delta," she breathed, stepping closer, "you heard it too… didn't you?"

Delta stiffened.

That whisper.

The thing calling his name.

The presence he felt clawing at the edge of reality.

He nodded once.

Noctis' smile faded.

"Then my fears were right."

---

THE GODS ARRIVE

Before she could continue, a boom shook the ceiling.

A tear in the air opened — a direct divine portal. Only one group would dare to invade Hell uninvited.

The gods.

A flood of blinding light filled the hall as dozens of armored celestial warriors descended. Behind them, towering in gold and fury, stood Zeus, flanked by Odin and the Council of gods.

Zeus' eyes burned with rage.

Odin gripped his spear like a judge ready to execute.

"Delta!" Zeus roared, his voice shaking the pillars. "You have violated the pact of the heavens!"

Delta blinked slowly.

"What the hell are you talking about now?"

"You allowed that creature into Hell!" Odin snarled, pointing at Noctis. "This is an act of treason against the Divine Order!"

Noctis tilted her head.

"That's rude."

Hades threw his arms up. "HE didn't let her in—she ripped open the sky!"

Zeus ignored him.

"Delta," he thundered, "step forward and kneel. You will be judged."

Delta stared at him for several quiet seconds.

Then he laughed.

A short, cold, humorless laugh that made every soldier flinch.

"Kneel?" Delta repeated.

"For what? Something she did? Do you hear yourself?"

Odin slammed Gungnir on the floor. "Silence, weapon!"

Delta's eyes sharpened.

Weapon.

That was what they always called him.

Even after all he'd done for them.

Even after the wars he fought.

Even after the blood he spilled FOR them.

Noctis' voice cut gently through the tension.

"Delta…"

He looked at her.

She smiled faintly.

"You don't have to obey them anymore."

Something inside Delta cracked.

---

THE GOD KILLER RISES

Zeus stepped forward, lightning coiling around his arms.

"I will not ask again," the sky father bellowed.

"Kneel, Delta — or be destroyed."

Hades raised a hand. "Zeus, don't—"

Too late.

Zeus hurled a bolt of pure divine wrath at Delta.

The blast lit up the entire hall.

It shook the foundations of Hell.

Demons scattered.

Angels braced.

Hades cursed.

Odin smirked.

The smoke cleared.

Delta stood exactly where he had been.

Untouched.

Unburned.

Unmoving.

He raised his head slowly, eyes glowing with something far more dangerous than anger:

Acceptance.

"Destroy me?" he said quietly.

"You've been trying to do that for years."

Zeus hesitated. "What are you—"

Delta vanished.

Reappeared.

His hand was buried in Zeus' chest, gripping the beating divine heart.

Everyone froze.

Even Noctis seemed mildly surprised.

Delta's voice was a whisper.

"You want a weapon?"

He tightened his grip.

"I'll show you a weapon."

Zeus tried to speak — but Delta squeezed.

Lightning exploded.

The hall ignited.

Zeus screamed as Delta ripped his heart free and crushed it in his fist.

The King of Olympus collapsed.

Dead.

Silence followed.

Hades stared in horror.

Odin stepped back.

The celestial soldiers trembled.

And Noctis…

She smiled proudly.

"Beautifully done," she whispered.

Delta turned to the gods.

His voice echoed with the birth of a new terror.

"Who's next?"

---

THE BIRTH OF BETRAYAL

Odin snarled, fury breaking through his shock.

"You dare kill a king?!"

Delta wiped Zeus' blood off his hand.

"I told you. I'm done kneeling."

He stepped forward, eyes burning with a cold, cruel resolve.

"I'm not your guardian."

"I'm not your soldier."

"I'm not your pawn."

He drew his arm blade — the obsidian metal screaming with power.

"I'm the GOD KILLER."

The divine armies broke.

Some ran.

Some charged.

Some prayed.

All died.

Delta tore through them with terrifying precision — a whirlwind of black steel and merciless fury.

Hades shouted over the chaos, "Delta! STOP!"

Delta didn't even look at him.

Odin charged, roaring, "FOR THE NINE REALMS!"

Delta struck once.

Odin fell in two pieces.

The Hall of Shades drowned in divine blood.

AFTERMATH

When the massacre ended, only three beings remained standing:

Hades.

Noctis.

Delta.

Hades stared at him, eyes full of sorrow and fear.

"Delta… what have you done?"

Delta looked down at the bodies.

Gods.

Warriors.

Legends.

All dead by his hand.

A long silence followed.

Then Delta answered:

"…What I should've done a long time ago."

Noctis placed a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"And this is only the beginning."

Delta didn't pull away.

He didn't deny it.

He didn't regret it.

Because deep down…

it felt right.

The chains were broken.

And the gods would soon learn:

The weapon they created

was now hunting them.
