Silence settled over the underground cave. There was no trace left behind. It looked as though nothing had ever been there — no cracks, no holes, just a plain ground.
"Does every dungeon go underground?" Daniel asked, a slightly curious expression tugging at his face as he brushed dirt off his arms.
"The real question is, did you find any books inside?" Alucard asked, voice low and sharp.
"Books? No," Zero replied, his tone flat.
"Not even one? Daniel? Floryn?" Alucard pressed, tone curious but edged with something darker.
Daniel shook his head. "Not really."
She placed a finger against her chin and tilted her head slightly, thinking. "I did see one once."
Alucard stepped closer to her immediately. "Like, really? You're not joking, right?"
"No. It was like an eye was drawn on the cover. Yes, something like that," she added, her tone soft and innocent, sounding completely honest.
