Chapter 182: The Tsundere Stark

"Jarvis!" Tony called back.

"Coming, Sir!" Jarvis piloted the Prodigal Son right behind, and the two attacked the Mandarin together.

The Mandarin looked at the Iron Legion surrounding him and grew impatient.

"Get down here." The white ring on the Mandarin's thumb burst into a dazzling white light. The white light transformed into a long chain, passing through the bodies of every Iron Man suit.

"Jarvis, return!" Tony shouted at Jarvis in front of him.

Jarvis quickly detached from the Prodigal Son and returned to the Mark 33 suit Tony was wearing.

"Welcome back, Jarvis," Tony said.

"Yes, Sir, but the situation currently doesn't look optimistic. The opponent's strength exceeds our estimation," Jarvis said.

Tony nodded. Who would have thought that the man who acted meekly in front of others was actually a powerhouse in reality?

At this moment, the white chains controlled by the Mandarin caught up to Tony. Tony quickly flew a distance away, then turned back, firing a laser from his left palm.

The Mandarin dodged the laser directly, then controlled the white chain and whipped it. "Get down!" Bang! All the Iron Man suits were smashed to the ground by the Mandarin and buried in the earth.

"Believe me, if Rhodes were here, he'd definitely want to learn that move," Tony said, looking at the suits stuck in the ground.

"Upon analysis, the opponent is manipulating electromagnetism to force the other suits to the ground. Currently, our suits have no defense against this type of attack," Jarvis analyzed.

The suits currently produced were too easily countered by the Mandarin, especially since they didn't fully understand all of his abilities.

"Alright, now we should start planning how to fight," Tony said.

On the Ground

Little Black and Kha'zix stood watching the battle between the two in the sky.

"That Mandarin's rings are really something. I wish I could get them," Kha'zix avariciously wiped the saliva from his mouth.

"Didn't you say you could chop off his arm?" Little Black clearly remembered Kha'zix's earlier boast.

"Who knew that guy had so many tricks up his sleeve? He also damaged a pair of my wings for nothing," Kha'zix said, touching the four remaining pairs of wings on his back.

"We can reattach them later. Don't worry," Little Black could just get materials from Stark and rebuild them.

"By the way, are we just going to watch here?" Kha'zix wanted to try again.

"Of course. Let Stark test the Mandarin's strength some more. Once we know enough, we'll go in," Little Black replied.

Kha'zix asked, "What if Stark asks for our help?"

"Don't worry, he won't," Little Black understood Stark fairly well. How could Stark possibly seek their help?

"But he's being suppressed so badly," Kha'zix said, looking up at the battered Stark.

"Trust me, he absolutely won't ask for our help," Little Black chuckled.

In Mid-Air

"Sir, it currently appears that we require assistance from Destiny's subordinates on the ground. Otherwise, with our current armor, we cannot defeat the Mandarin," Jarvis suggested.

Tony turned, dodging the Mandarin's laser, and said, "No, no, no~ How could I, Iron Man, possibly need their help?"

"Very well." Jarvis also understood his Sir's stubbornness. He decided to wait a moment before seeking help from Destiny's group himself.

Hell's Kitchen

"That was absolutely brilliant!" Peter exclaimed, squatting on a second-floor awning.

"Of course. I wouldn't let him get away," Klein said, holding a criminal who had already fainted from fright. He was extremely happy now that his student had brought his mother back from the Ten Rings, completely unharmed.

"By the way, Teacher, do you want to find an antidote? I can actually help you with that, even if I don't know as much as you do," Peter suggested.

Klein shook his head and said, "Thank you, Peter, but I don't need it now." Klein had already gotten used to this. After all, he only transformed at night, and during the day, he was still a good teacher to his students.

"As for you, Peter, do you need me to tutor you? You and Silas are about to go to college. You can't let your grades slip if you want to get into a good university," Klein said. After all, Peter and Silas weren't like the star athletes at school; they had to rely on their scores.

"Don't worry, Teacher. Exams are too easy. You just need to regularly tutor Silas," Peter said, not forgetting his good friend.

"Silas, huh," Klein said. "I haven't seen him out fighting crime for many days."

"That's because Silas said he's taking college exams soon and needs to quickly study his textbooks. Plus, we're here, so he hasn't come out," Peter explained. And that was exactly what Silas had told him. Peter was very happy about it; it was a sign of progress that Silas was studying hard.

"What a good student," Klein praised.

Queens

"Achho!" Silas sneezed while playing a video game, casually wiped his nose with his hand, and accepted the juice offered by a Black Shadow Ninja.

Hell's Kitchen

"Take him to the police station," Peter handed the criminal from Klein's hand to the Spider Squad. The Spider Squad nodded, taking the criminal through the Shadow Realm to the police station.

"Which college are you planning to go to now, Peter?" Klein didn't ask Peter if he was confident he could get into a particular university, as Peter was one of the top students in the entire grade.

"College?" Peter sat on the railing, swinging his legs. "That depends on Silas, I guess."

"Silas? You want to go to the same college as Silas?" Klein asked.

"Yes, we're brothers," Peter smiled.

"That may be so, but Peter, if you have the option of a better university, you still need to think about your future," Klein advised. In his eyes, Peter was his student first, and Spider-Man second, even if Spider-Man was his idol.

"Okay, I understand, Teacher," Peter replied.

"Mhm," Klein acknowledged.

Peter jumped down from the second floor, landing next to Klein. "Don't worry, Teacher, I will definitely make an antidote for you."

"Mhm~" Klein quietly responded. Peter knew that although Teacher Klein claimed he didn't need it, he desperately did inside. Teacher Klein hadn't married or had children yet. Would he have to stay away from his wife and children every night in the future? Currently, only Peter, Silas, the Ten Rings, and Klein's mother knew that Klein turned into a nighttime monster.

"I need to go back first, Peter. My mother is waiting for me," Klein had already brought his mother back to live with him.

"Don't worry, Teacher, I've got this place covered," Peter said, tapping his chest with his fist.

"I'm off!" Klein jumped up and vanished into the night.

"Then I should probably go check on the area..." Peter's words were cut short. A man with a cane appeared there and said, "Spider-Man, I knew you'd be here."
