Chapter 25 - Annihilating the White Demon Pirates and Doc Q Devil Fruit

In the depths of the island, dozens of pirates had gathered in a wide clearing, their eyes gleaming with anticipation. All of them were waiting for one thing—their captain's command.

Seated arrogantly atop a jagged rock, Captain Oliver waved his hand with a grin full of missing teeth. "Alright, boys! The time has come. Dump out all the loot—we're gonna see what this raid brought us!"

Oliver was a towering brute, nearly three meters tall. His face was a battlefield of scars, his nose crooked and oversized, a wild beard covering his jaw like tangled roots. His pointed ears and jagged teeth gave him the look of a demon born from the sea.

"Yes, Captain Oliver!" the pirates roared in unison.

They moved with excitement, hauling sacks and crates, tossing them into a growing pile. Gold coins clinked, silver goblets clattered, and gemstones sparkled under the sun. The treasure mound shimmered like a miniature mountain of light.

"The haul's not bad this time, hahaha!"

Oliver threw his head back and laughed, his voice booming. "Hahahahaha! Look through it all—see if there's anything really worth our time!"

Laughter and cheers echoed through the clearing.

"Whoa, this gold bar's heavy!" "This pearl's gotta be worth a fortune!" "Damn, this loot'll keep us drunk for months, hehe…"

Suddenly, a shout cut through the noise. "Devil Fruit! I found a Devil Fruit!"

The entire crew froze. Heads snapped toward the voice. Oliver's eyes widened, and he immediately stood up, his boots thudding against the rock. "Outta my way! Keep working!" he barked.

The pirates scattered like startled birds, clearing a path.

Burne the Vicious, a lean man with a jagged scar across his cheek and a bounty of 31 million Bellys, stepped forward with a grin. "Captain, we're in luck. A Devil Fruit—can you believe it?"

Oliver strode over and yanked a small chest from Burne's hands. Inside were three items: a strange, spiraled fruit with a dark sheen, a worn leather notebook, and two Den Den Mushi.

He turned to the crew, voice booming. "Who found this little chest?"

The pirates exchanged glances. Then, a thin, scrappy young man raised his hand. "Captain, it was me! I found it!"

All eyes turned to him, some with envy, others with awe.

Oliver held up the Devil Fruit, its swirling patterns catching the light. "Hahahaha! What luck! A Devil Fruit in our haul!"

He turned to the boy. "Where'd you get it? Speak."

The young pirate—Xander—stepped forward eagerly. "Captain, I took it from an old man's house. He tried to hide his valuables, so I killed him and searched the place. Found this chest under the bed. It was locked, so I couldn't open it at the time… but I never imagined it'd have something like this inside!"

Oliver laughed again, slapping his thigh. "You've earned yourself some points, boy. Step aside—I'll take it from here."

"Yes, Captain Oliver!" Xander beamed, practically glowing with pride as he stepped back, already imagining his rise in the crew's ranks.

Burne looked at the Devil Fruit in Oliver's hand, frowning. "It's shaped like a pineapple and completely green. Why does it feel… poisonous?"

Oliver narrowed his eyes, nodding slightly. "As I thought, this Devil Fruit is probably related to poison. Most likely a Paramecia… in rare cases, it could be a Logia."

He set the fruit aside and picked up the old notebook, a grin tugging at his scarred lips. "This thing… you can tell at first glance it's ancient."

Oliver flipped it open, scanning the pages.

"Rocks? Who is he? I've never heard of that name," Burne muttered, puzzled as he leaned closer.

The more Oliver read, the more irritated he became. His voice rose in anger. "Kaido, Charlotte Linlin, Ochoku, Silver Axe—who the hell are they?"

With a curse, Oliver slammed the notebook shut and hurled it at Burne. "Useless trash."

He reached for the two Den Den Mushi, but before he could examine them, heavy footsteps echoed from behind—followed by mocking laughter.

"There are many treasures here… from now on, they're all ours! Wiihahahaha…"

The White Demon Pirates froze, turning sharply toward the sound. Several figures emerged from the shadows.

At the front was a man dressed entirely in black, his presence commanding. Behind him followed a formidable group—men and women alike, each radiating strength.

Doc Q, sprawled lazily atop Stronger, grinned with cruelty. "There are a lot of people… how many can I kill?"

Hawkins lowered his voice, his tone calm but ominous. "As expected of the overlord of North Blue. He's hoarded a vast amount of treasure."

Law rested Kikoku on his shoulder, his gaze cold as steel. "These kinds of scum—burning, killing, looting—they all deserve to die."

Lafitte twirled his staff elegantly, his smile sharp. "A Devil Fruit among the spoils… it seems fortune favors us today."

Carina's eyes sparkled with delight. She adored treasures, and the sight of so much gold and silver made her grin from ear to ear. "Shishishi~~ So many jewels to steal… this is truly exciting!"

Betty exhaled smoke, her tone icy as she glared at Oliver's crew. "These people deserve death for slaughtering innocents."

Perona scrunched up her face, floating above with disdain. "This man is so ugly and evil… this princess doesn't like him at all."

Hana nodded with a faint smile, her voice calm but cutting. "As the name suggests, he is indeed a notorious pirate."

"This is interesting… someone's crazy enough to try and rob me! Hahahaha…"

Oliver spread his massive hands, raised his scarred face to the sky, and laughed arrogantly. "No one in the North Blue dares to lay a finger on what's mine!"

His eyes turned cold as he glared at the intruders. "I'll kill you brats!"

Burne's cruel smile widened. "Captain, don't kill the girls. Leave them so the boys can have fun with them."

Another pirate chimed in with a disgusting grin. "Master Burne, leave one for me—any of them will do, hehe…"

Oliver roared, his voice echoing across the clearing. "Brats, you're too confident to challenge the crew of the Overlord of North Blue! Enough talk—kill them all!"

One of his men sneered, eyes fixed on Reiju. "That curly‑browed girl is beautiful. I'll play with her later~"

Hana glanced at Reiju, smiling faintly. "Someone's already fallen in love with you, praising your beauty."

Perona floated above, laughing mockingly. "They said Sister Reiju is beautiful and has a good body. How lucky, horohorohoro…"

Reiju rolled her eyes at them, though her gentle smile remained. "You two are more beautiful than me. There's no way I can compare."

At that moment, Drake slid his hands into his pockets, his tone calm and commanding. "I'll give you one minute. Deal with them."

"Yes, captain!" Lafitte twirled his cane, bowing respectfully.

Hawkins, his aura heavy as ever, murmured, "From the moment we landed, their fate was sealed."

"Understood, captain. Less talking, more fighting!" Burgess bellowed. He stomped the ground, cracking the earth, and launched himself forward like a cannonball.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Shouts and screams filled the air as Oliver's men fell one after another, cut down with terrifying ease.

In the end, only Oliver remained, trembling as he watched his crew annihilated in moments. "Forgive me… I'll give you all the treasures…"

Lafitte's polite smile never wavered. "Sorry. From the beginning, these things were ours."

With a graceful wave of his cane, he struck.

"Gahhhh!!…" Oliver's scream echoed before silence fell. The Overlord of North Blue was dead.

Burgess spat, kicking a corpse. "What the hell… the so‑called overlord of North Blue was just a stinking piece of trash."

Doc Q chuckled darkly. "It's been a long time since I killed someone. This feeling… it's good."

Lafitte twirled his cane, his voice soft and composed. "We can't blame them for being weak. We're simply too strong."

Hawkins closed his eyes, his tone heavy with finality. "From now on… there will be no overlord in the North Blue."

At that moment, Baccarat looked at Drake's stalwart figure and smiled softly. "Drake, the smell of blood is too strong here. Let's go back to the ship."

Carina waved her hands eagerly, her eyes sparkling. "You guys go first! I want to see if there's something really good here."

Without waiting for a reply, she dashed toward the pile of treasures, her expression that of a little money fanatic.

"This girl really has an eye for money," Hana said, a bit shocked.

Drake's calm voice cut through the noise. "Clean up the battlefield and move everything to the new ship."

"Yes, Captain Drake!" The lower‑ranking crew members shouted with excitement, rushing toward the golden mountain of loot.

Sometime later, aboard the new ship…

They were all gathered on the deck, admiring their prize.

"Very good. The more I look at it, the more satisfied I am." Hana nodded cheerfully, her eyes gleaming with joy.

Betty exhaled smoke, her tone calm. "In fact, this ship is much better than the previous one."

Perona floated above, laughing happily. "This ship is so big that this princess can fly farther in the future, horohorohoro~~"

Baccarat ignored their chatter, her attention fixed on the Devil Fruit Illustrated Book, flipping through its pages with focus.

"Miss Baccarat, have you found it? What is that Devil Fruit?" Burgess asked curiously.

Lafitte twirled his cane elegantly. "It's shaped like a pineapple, and its deep color suggests a Logia. But that dark green hue… what element of nature could it represent?"

Baccarat's eyes lit up as she stopped on a page. "I found it. It's indeed a Logia‑type Devil Fruit."

Reiju leaned closer, her delicate hand resting on her chin. "The Shoki Shoki no Mi… a fruit that allows the user to control miasma. Highly corrosive and deadly. This is a truly powerful Devil Fruit."

Law nodded, his tone cold and analytical. "Miasma is a poisonous, corrosive gas. If developed properly, this fruit could be devastating."

Hawkins spoke in his usual low, melancholic voice. "Poison and corrosion are the most troublesome. Without an antidote, death is certain. And even with one… disfigurement for life is likely."

For once, Doc Q's face showed genuine enthusiasm. He looked at Drake with rare intensity. "Captain, this fruit suits me perfectly. Let me eat it."

Burgess laughed, shrugging. "You're already poisonous. This fruit is poisonous too. It's a perfect match for you."

Drake turned calmly, his decision immediate. "Alright. You can eat it."

Without another word, he walked toward the practice room.

Doc Q's eyes softened with gratitude as he watched Drake's back. "Captain… he truly is the best, hehe…"

Perona hovered impatiently, her voice sharp with excitement. "Stop talking so much and eat it already! I had seen many Devil Fruits, but never a Logia one Hurry up!"
