Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 – The Skullbreaker Appears

A flood of gun-handling knowledge suddenly crashed into Kyle Grayson's mind—how to grip a rifle, how to breathe, how to aim, how to kill recoil…

It all felt like he had known these things his entire life.

Kyle raised his rifle again. This time, his movement was smooth—clean, sharp, almost professional.

The moment the stock touched his shoulder, he felt synced with the weapon.Through the iron sights, the world slowed down.Every twitch from the infected sprinting toward the wall became crystal clear.

Now.

BANG!

The bullet drilled straight through an infected's eye.The corpse collapsed mid-charge.

Kyle adjusted slightly—BANG!Another head burst open.

"Holy hell! Nice shooting!"Derrick shouted between bursts of fire.

Just minutes ago Kyle was missing half his shots. Now he was landing every single one.It made no sense—and yet it was happening.

Kyle didn't answer. He reloaded calmly.Inside, his heart was burning.

Skill orbs… these things are broken.

More infected slammed into the wall. One smashed its own skull open against the stone.A glowing red orb rolled out.

『Strength +5. Pick up?』

Kyle grinned—Pick up.

Warmth surged through his muscles.

Down below, more orbs were dropping—red for Strength, blue for Agility, yellow for Physique…even a few rare purple ones for Spirit.

Kyle's mouth almost watered.

This wasn't a siege.This was a damn loot festival.

Unfortunately, he could only collect within 15 meters—and the wall was too high.

Later. After the horde.I'm grabbing all of them.

He continued firing.

Thanks to Firearms Mastery, every trigger pull meant another kill.

Then—one infected dropped a white orb.

Kyle picked it up.

『+100 EXP』

Skill exp?!

He opened his panel.

Firearms Mastery Lv1 (0/100)

It all made sense.

Just as Kyle was ready to farm EXP like a madman,a strange figure appeared in the horde.

Huge.Rock-yellow skin.Glowing red eyes staring at a single point on the city wall.

Kyle's face tightened.

A mutant.

"Everybody eyes up! That big yellow one isn't normal!"Derrick roared.

But it was too late.

BOOM!!

The mutant slammed its fist into the ground.A wave of yellow energy exploded outward.

The wall under Kyle detonated like buried explosives.

The stone barrier collapsed, taking several guards with it.

One unlucky guard landed right in front of the mutant.

The creature smiled—grabbed the man by the waist—

"NO—!"

RIP.

Blood sprayed everywhere. The soldier was torn cleanly in half.

Everyone froze in horror.

"You monster!"Derrick's eyes were blood-red.

Below the destroyed wall was Graystone's farmland—the settlement's lifeline.

He threw his rifle aside and pulled out his massive cleaver.

"Hold the gap! I'm taking that bastard's head!"

He jumped down from the ten-meter wall.A white orb with a blade symbol dropped behind him.

A blade technique skill orb.Kyle noted the location instantly.

Derrick landed, dashed, and leapt—bringing the cleaver down with everything he had.

But the mutant didn't dodge. It wrapped its fist in yellow stone-like energy—

And punched upward.

CLANG!!

The impact sent sparks flying.Derrick's palms burst open, blood spraying.

He was thrown back more than ten meters, plowing trenches in the dirt before he stopped.

He coughed blood.

"Commander Derrick!!!"

The defenders were terrified.

Their strongest fighter—beaten in one exchange.

"Focus fire! Cover the commander!"the vice-captain screamed.

Dozens of rifles opened fire.

But when the bullets hit the mutant—

tink-tink-tink-tink!

Sparks.Only sparks.

Not a single bullet pierced its skin.

Despair crashed over the wall.

This wasn't just a mutant.

This was something far worse—

A Skullbreaker.

A nightmare class monster.
