We went inside to get some towels to dry off. His sister excused herself to her room while Mu-Shibai held me hostage in his meeting hall. I asked him why he brought me to his meeting hall and then he said we have a serious case to settle.
"Lu-Hanzhou has been charged of looking at the Royal princess of the Fog Forest Sect lustfully!" he said.
I told him that I didn't even look at his sister at all, so his little trick is all a waste.
"Quiet," he said interrupting me, and continued, "Do you know the consequence of your sin? Now, nobody would want to be engaged to the royal princess, so you have to take responsibility, and that's final."
"Shut up, you set everything up so I don't actually care. There is no way I'm getting married to... I don't even know her name," I said as I was about to leave.
Mu-Shibai stopped me, saying, "Wait. Firstly, her name is Mu-Feili. It is insulting the way you referred to my sister. Secondly, we have to join sects to keep mutual relationships, and it is stronger when it's the lord that does the bonding. So either you get engaged to someone from my sect or I'll get engaged to someone from your sect."
I told him that I could not get engaged to anyone from his sect, then he asked me if he could get engaged to someone from my sect. I told him he could, but it should not be forced on the lady. He just agreed and left happily. What scheme is this freak planning?
I got tired so I finally went to bed. I laid on my bed wondering when I could cure myself from the poison soul. The scariest part is when I remember that it is spreading and if it covers my core... I would DIE. Argh, the thought of dying again, that horrific moment when I know it is all over. No, I can't let this soul kill me. I would just have to get the cure no matter the cost for living's sake. I kept wandering in my thoughts and finally slept off.
I woke up early due to disturbance from the soul, so I decided to spend the remaining time cultivating. I cultivated for about three hours and headed to have a shower. And I came out of the shower tying a towel, and then... Mu-Feili came in.
Immediately she saw me, she turned around and asked me why I was not wearing a shirt.
"Why do I need permission to take off my shirt in my own room? And besides, it's just my chest, it's not as if I'm naked!" I said as I sat on my bed.
She faced me, still struggling to look at me, and told me that she brought me breakfast. I asked her why she was the one serving me breakfast, but she just said that I should know that she is the one who prepares the food around here.
"Do you normally cook for everyone, or did you just want to cook for me so I'll fall for you or something?" I said, making her react suspiciously.
"If you are busy cracking jokes, I'll be taking this back," she said as she was about to take the tray of food away.
I stopped her and apologised, then she dropped it back. She then looked away and said, "Enjoy your meal," and left. So weird.
I had breakfast and went to start the main deal. I looked around the royal court to find Mu-Shibai and found him in a training hall. The Royal Court in the Fog Forest Sect is far bigger than the one in the Blue Moon Sect.
I met Mu-Shibai and told him that I had a lot to discuss with him. I explained everything about the Sword Lords from the Mongol, and how I died to Mu-Shibai, and how Mu-Wushi directed me here for help on finding a Medical Master.
Mu-Shibai kept quiet for some time and jokingly said that if I win him in a duel, he would tell me where to find a Medical Master. I explained to him that I could not fight in my condition, but he drew out a sword anyway. He started using a sword technique against me and I kept dodging, trying to tell him that I was not going to fight. He didn't look like he was going to stop, so I kicked his sword, breaking it in two.
He finally stopped and threw his sword away. He told me that in this new generation, there should only be about three Medical Masters, and the only one which he knows about is the Legendary Blade Master from the Mongol. I always thought it was a myth, but finding him is the only chance I have to cure myself from the poison soul.
Mu-Shibai told me that I could find the Blade Master in the Western Abandoned Sect, that is if his intel is correct. I can't believe my life will depend on a myth.
"I enjoyed the stay, but I'll have to go now," I said to Mu-Shibai.
Suddenly, a messenger came in and said Mu-Feili sent for me.
"Looks like you have a case to settle before you leave," Mu-Shibai said as he tapped me on my shoulder and left.
I met her at the court's tower staring at the city. *I should not talk to her nicely, it is better if I can make her hate me. I can do this.* I walked up to her and rudely asked, "What is it?"
She still acted calmly and asked me, "Isn't it a nice view?"
"Well, not as pretty as the Blue Moon Sect," I replied.
She turned and it was obvious that she was ready for a discussion. She then said: "Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?"
I replied, "Do I have to inform you that I am leaving?"
"Hanzhou," she said calmly and continued, "Let's get engaged. I know you may not have feelings for me, but I want you to know that I love you. We can make this work, we can make us work. So what do you say, are you going to give it a chance?"
There is no way a girl just said that to me. I can't believe I have to turn down my first proposal. No, put your head in the game.* I laughed, making her confused, then I finally asked: "Do you think someone of your caliber can match up to me, you little frog? Don't go hopping on gold."
Before I could continue, she slapped me and left, trying to hold back tears. I rested on the balcony and looked up thinking about what I just did. *I guess there are some things I never get to enjoy.*
I sent a message to Mu-Shibai that I have left, and I started my journey to the Mongol. The Lung Sect was the closest sect on the Mongol to the Fog Forest Sect, so I took a carriage there.
I can't believe my last day in the Jianxu ended up like this. I have a lot of fixing to do before I come back to the Jianxu. I hope Lu-min, Mu-Shibai, and Ma-Wushi would be able to hold up the war while I'm gone. Why does leaving feel more painful than dying? Why does it hurt so much?
No, I have to be strong, for the sake of everyone, to see them smile again, I have to do this. I guess this is it.
Goodbye Jianxu.
