Chapter two
The next day was just as always for Rihannat going from one class to another. Sitting in the last class for the day, jotting and completing her note she took her assignment to the class president Basit who collected it and asked about her project which will be due in5 days.
Basit is their class president and also Rihannat group leader. They both are in business department. Basit wants to continue his fathers legacy as a business man. His father is a business tycoon popularly known while his mother is an architect who is also popularly known both in Africa and abroad .Basit has a junior sister who is also studying architecture in the same university with Basit. They are both low key people, very humble and unpromiscuous. It's every ladies dream to become Basit girlfriend but no, he's always rejecting them.! His only friend is Ridwan, they both are childhood friends. The same applies to his sister Faridat who all the ladies want to be her friend but she only choose one who is responsible and is just like her Farhan .
The two kids study and act just like everyone in the school without being proud or arrogant and being from a trained and godfearing home which shows everywhere they go, it makes people love them more.
Basit has been watching Rihannat for a long time now every time they were asked to do a project she always do her work diligently without trying to use her beauty on him like other ladies do. He has been trying to get close to her but he saw that there are no male friends around her, she goes around with her female friends who are just two all the time making it hard for him to approach her. She doesn't like being with male starting from the 2nd year that he has known her which is also one of the quality he sees in her that make him like her more.
Rihannat and Basit both decide to meet the next day to sort it all and conclude their project.
Basit watched her left and sighed! so cold towards male but approachable to females. Straightening the boundary,so intriguing.
While all these was going on in Basit mind Rihannat has already gotten home freshing up and called her parent! Mind asking me how she cope in school? She's a good artist! She draws and paints. Where she makes some little money she uses in caring for herself in the School.
After talking about her education and her well being, her mother asked her about the marriage proposals they have at hand "these men are wealthy they can take care of you. Alhamdulillah you are almost done now it will reduce your stress my daughter what do you say her "mother asked
But as usual she rejects it saying "mum I know you care about me but this people are after my beauty and when it fades, will they still care,cherish and love me like they've done before? No mum! so don't worry. Allah has been providing and he's still there, with your help and the little I get here, I will survive and bring glory to our family. This little obstacle can't bring me down, don't worry mum and tell Abu too not to worry Okay! i love you guys so much so be at peace. I will call you later.she said just like always." Cutting off the call before her mum will say another thing.
After the call she lays on the bed and slept off.
