Victoria's POV
I tried to not think about Elizabeth's words as walked to the lift and out into the parkinglot
I get onto my motorcycle and speed onto the busy city road following the directions on my phone... Minutes later I arrive to the meet up spot on the outskirts of the city I look around and spot a old windmill which looks abandoned.
I put my hood up and hop off my motorcycle, walking towards the windmill I spot a figure coming forward from behind the windmill - tall, pale and skinny with red piercing eyes
His black hair looked matted and flaky he seemed to be around his thirties.
" you're the assassin known as the' red raven '?". I nodded tightening my grip around my dagger " I am. You have a job for me..vampire?". The vampire seemed to be overly interested in me which was not good.
I watched him smile before he spoke again " yes my dear, you see a human gang poses a threat to me and my coven, which is why I am in need of your rather ferocious capabilities" he spoke as if he was from a different time slow and profoundly.
" a human gang poses no threat to vampires, unless there hunters" I watch him grin in excitement this time showing his fangs "beautiful and smart how quite, remember I won't pay you until the job is done I already sent you the location" he said before vanishing completely.
I stood there perplexed for a moment, when my phone buzzed with a location to a warehouse but no target name.
I arrived at the warehouse, knife sheathed at my hip.
Darkness shrouded the area - perfect for an ambush.
Suddenly, figures emerged from the shadows, Not vampires, but heavely armed men they seemed to be guarding the entrance to the warehouse.
" Look here boys a little girl,are you here for a good time " the bigger guy with a bold head walked towards me.
My eyes locked onto his, I gave him my best smile before walking right up to him in a slow seductive manor " oh, I'm here for a different kind of game, boys one you won't enjoy,
I swiftly slit his throat letting his body fall limp to the ground scaring the rest of them men shit less.
They charged me in all at once - I spun around on my left leg and kneed one of the men in the gut making him double over in pain, I grabbed his face and let flames from my hands spread all over his body... His screams were frantic and girly making his other three friends stumble back in terror one of them tried to hit me with a pipe which I seized and used my flames to melt the metal into his hands before ripping his head from his shoulders, his two remaining friends tried to rush me, removing my second dagger from my boot I threw both at them at same time hitting both men in between the eyes.
I removed my knives from the two men's heads wiping them clean on the grass than walking towards the warehouse, I kicked the door open to find the building empty.
" it seems my hunch was right" a figure emarged from the woods, it was the vampire from earlier. " where is my money vamps" I spet " it's already in your account" he said while walking towards me menacingly " Good than I'll take my leave" I turned to leave when he spoke again " In a hurry miss lacrosse" I stopped dead in my tracks debating my next move when he chuckled " So the prophecy is true, one of Victor lacrosse's daughter's did survive the attack and by the looks of that poor guy's charcoal corpse I'd say you're a phoenix just like daddy".
I turned around now facing him with a bored expression " you set me up" I said in bored tone " oh, no my lady I just wanted to find out the truth, you see I've been watching you for a while now... It's not hard for a vampire to sense another supernatural especially a phoenix with fire running through her vains" he was now in front of me licking his thin chapped lips " Hmm, what else do you know litch" I took step back " well," he paused for a minute and scratched his black matted hair as if he was trying to remember something when he snapped his fingers in a gleeful smile " oh yes I remember Victor adopted a little girl , a basterd to be exact the only thing you're mother left him before she did during birth, a child that wasn't even his. " I had heard enough I punched the prick in the face than grabbed him by the neck and slammed him into the ground before I could finish him off he vanished.
Without a second thought I got on my motorcycle and sped back into town, I arrived at the building and ran into the elevator.
The second the doors opened I ran into the hallway and kicked open our door " what's going on!" Elizabeth looked up from her spell book and knew something was wrong and without question jumped off the sofa and ran into our closet.
" who's after us this time?" Elizabeth asked, throwing me three duffle bags " a vampire" I said opening the kitchen drawers and grabbing the spare car keys " for fucks sake vikki how'd you get the attention of a vampire!! " she yelled from the closet " I'll tell you in the car" I said grabbing everything and walking to the door with her on my heels with more bags.
By the time we got to the car we were out of breath from running, we got in the Benz and without a second to loose we sped off, I didn't relax until we were outside the city limits "So where are we going this time'?" I could feel her eyes on me " the only place vampires wouldn't dare set foot in, north America" Elizabeth's face went pale " but that's werewolf country, the last time I checked those creatures were barbaric and ruthless it's unlikely there moods have changed" I sighed " look I hate those creatures too, besides a lycan and a werewolf are different from each other but both are wolf , so let's hope that it's just werewolves we have to worry about and not those murderers beasts" Elizabeth threw her head back dramatically before putting her feet up on the dashboard " I hope you're right cause I don't want to run into the current alpha king, he might want to finish off what his ancestors couldn't."
