The car was filled with utter silence.
No one spoke a word.
The moment felt so unreal to Master Alexandro, batting an eyelid felt like the whole moment would disappear.
Finally, Mitchell broke the silence.
"Uhm...so dad, those men back at Grandma Eve's house, are the police gonna force the truth out of them??" Mitchell asked with an indifferent expression
"Police you say?? Son don't you remember how we deal with our enemies??"
"Tigan will take them into the underground dungeon where we deal with the captured enemies"
"Oh" Mitchell said with a stoic expression
Master Alexandro couldn't help but laugh because his son still hasn't changed from his cold and stoic nature.
"I pray someone brings light and joy into his life one day" Master Alexandro said within himself
Finally, they arrived at the Alexandro mansion. Master Alexandro had already informed the butler to gather all the family members.
For each step Mitchell took, it felt like he was falling into the clutches of someone. Being someone who doesn't voice out a lot, he absorbed that feeling alone.
The two of them stepped into the house together and immediately, most of the family members took to their heels while those that were able to stand were traumatized by the figure standing in front of them. Aunt Gomez was part of the people that stood still
"So he didn't die. I'm doomed" she said to herself
"Calm down everyone. My son is alive"
Master Alexandro announced which drew the attention of the servants.
After much convincing that he's not a ghost, the servants all came to welcome him formally. The butler who couldn't hold his tears, ran towards Mitchell and gave him a hug. The hug didn't seem to irk Mitchell surpringly.
When the atmosphere was now calm, Master Alexandro decided to speak up. He narrated how he found out his son was found alive but lost his memory, how he went to the village and saved him from being attacked the second time and how he took the assassins away to be tortured.
"I will make sure I find out who their boss is. When I find out, I will make sure the person pays dearly" he said looking into the eyes of everyone one by one.
Daniel took a quick peek at his mum with a pitiable look before quickly turning his face.
All the while Master Alexandro was speaking, Mitchell had his gaze fixated on Aunt Gomez which made her shiver unknowingly to her. Mitchell stood up, everybody watching his next move.
He went towards Aunt Gomez who was now sweating like a thief caught in an act.
"Mom I have missed you" Mitchell said raising Aunt Gomez from her sit and giving her a hug.
Aunt Gomez and Daniel were shocked to the core.
"Mom even if I have lost my memory, I will always remember the good deeds you have done for me immediately I see your face. Mom I can remember how you took care of me when I was little. Though some images are blur, I can still tell you're the one in the images playing in my head.
"Mitchell she's your aunt and not your mum. When you were brought as the adopted son of my uncle, Master Alexandro, she took care of you. So for the records, she's my mom your aunt" Daniel said without any form of fear.
As a child growing up, people were always careful dealing with Mitchell because he had a dominating and intimidating aura which made them subtle. But Daniel, on the other hand never saw Mitchell as intimidating.
He had always wanted to challenge Mitchell when they were little because he never liked him.
His hatred for him grew more after master Alexandro made him the Chief Operating Officer. As a cunning individual that he is, he hide his hatred well enough. He always acted like a doting brother for people to see.
"Oh so you're not my mum??" Mitchell asked
Aunt Gomez saw this as a perfect opportunity to win Mitchell's heart close to her
"Uhm Mitch my boy, right from the day your father brought you to this house as his adopted son, I have always taken you as my child. You even call me mum when you were younger.
The butler who was afar watching couldn't help but shake his head in disgust.
"Same woman that planned for him to be killed is now acting so sweet. I pray the truth comes out sooner than later"
"Alright enough of the chit-chat. Let Mitchell rest now" Master Alexandro said
"Butler Edward please call the family doctor to come check up on Mitchell. I want him to recover as soon as possible so he will take back his position in the company"
"Yes sir" the butler replied
Mitchell was shown to his room by a maid. From behind, they could see a girl running towards them like a little child
"Brother Mitch"!!!
Debbie shouted from afar sulking like a child
"Brother Mitch I have missed you so much" she said hugging him tightly
Although Mitchell couldn't remember her, he found her adorable.
"How about you let me rest and regain my memory quickly so I can remember who you are" Mitchell said patting her head
"Ok brother Mitch. I'm Aunt Gomez's daughter your cousin"
"I will let you rest now so you can get well soon and then we will travel to Miami as you promised years ago before you disappeared"
Mitchell couldn't resist the urge to poke her fluffy cheek
"So adorable" he said
"Can I go rest now little one??"
"Yes brother Mitch and also, don't call me little. I'm now a mature lady"
Mitchell rose his hands in defeat
"Yes ma. I won't call you little again"
Finally, she left and Mitchell entered his room. Scanning through the room, Mitchell felt like had been there before although he can't really remember. As he laid on the bed, his thoughts finally drifted to Clara.
Unknown to him, the thought of Clara made him smile to himself.
