It was Wednesday, and I had been having fun with a little flirtation with Mr. F all morning.
I playfully brushed against his arm during our meeting with the marketing department, held onto reports just a moment too long when passing them to him, and flashed those cute smiles I knew drove him crazy.
By the time lunch came around, it was clear he was feeling the pressure...his jaw was tighter than usual, and he avoided looking directly at me, as if I were some kind of irresistible temptation wrapped in a perfectly tailored suit.
But that only made me happier; after all, seeing the usually composed Alpha CEO squirm was the highlight of my days to the point I practically danced to work every morning. I picked up his favorite sandwich from the deli downstairs...a roast beef on rye with extra mustard, because I always remember the little things and as for me, I opted for a cherry-flavored popsicle that I had ordered just for this occasion.
