Chapter 7 - The Prophecy, The Truth and The Promise

Mariana immediately told Eluisa everything. Eluisa's expression, which had been unfriendly from the start, became even darker and harder after hearing Mariana's reason for coming to the village and her purpose. "BANG!" Eluisa slammed the table, causing Leon, Lucia, and Livia to look at Eluisa, and Isabel slightly flinched.

"You want to take my three siblings to the central continent? Of course, I don't agree! Do you know what happened to my family and why my uncle hunted them down? Please don't speak so carelessly in front of me," Eluisa said, enraged.

"B-but I received a divine revelation from the gods! If they don't return, the northern wall will be destroyed, and the undead forces from hell will destroy us all! I made this journey because I want to prevent that from happening," Mariana replied.

"I don't care! Don't take my family again! They will stay right here!" Eluisa screamed until she was breathless, her voice echoing throughout the room.

"Please calm down, ma'am," Isabel said, standing up and holding her hand out toward Eluisa while her other hand gripped the hilt of her sword.

"Calm down? How can I be calm? Get out of my house, or what are you going to do to me, huh?" Eluisa shouted, glancing at Isabel's hand on the sword.

Isabel immediately released her grip and raised her hands. Then she turned to look at Mariana, who also looked at her. After that, Mariana looked at Leon, Lucia, and Livia, who were standing nearby. The three of them nodded to Mariana, then they turned to look at Eluisa.

"Sis, can we talk privately for a moment?" Leon asked.

"There's something the three of us need to tell you, Sis," Lucia added.

"Please listen to us, Sis," Livia added.

Eluisa turned to look at the serious faces of her three twin siblings. Then she stood up and gestured for the three to move inside, and she walked in first. Leon turned to look at Mariana.

"You two wait here," Leon said.

"Yes, Your Highness," Mariana replied.

"I told you not to call me that," Leon replied.

"I-I'm sorry," Mariana stammered.

After that, Leon, Lucia, and Livia went inside, following Eluisa. They went straight to Eluisa and Lot Har's bedroom at the front of the house. Once inside, they saw a tearful Eluisa sitting sadly on the side of the bed. After closing the door again, the three of them approached Eluisa.

"Um… Sis," Leon began.

"I know what you're going to say. In the end, I'll have no choice but to let you go," Eluisa said softly.

"B-but I want to tell you about…"

"About you actually being the King and Queens from 1,000 years ago?" Eluisa asked.

Leon, Lucia, and Livia were shocked. They looked at each other, not expecting their sister to already know their identity.

"Sis… you knew?" Livia asked.

"Yes. I often heard you talking. I also saw you practicing without anyone teaching you, and I saw your unusual strength. I knew and tried to accept that you are indeed who the prophecy spoke of," Eluisa answered, looking at her three siblings and smiling, even as her tears streamed down.

"The prophecy?" Leon asked.

"Our ancestors were one of the three founders of the Esvana religion. The gods passed down a revelation to them that the world was in danger. Triplets would be born into one of the three founding families, and the time was estimated to be 1,000 years since the Vanadias Empire was established. That prophecy has been passed down through our family. That's why we fled to this dark continent. Our mother and father were killed by our uncle, who collaborated with the Vanadias Imperial family. They were afraid you three would overthrow their throne, and they were hunting you," Eluisa answered, telling everything to the three twin siblings in front of her.

Leon, Lucia, and Livia sat cross-legged in front of Eluisa. They held both of Eluisa's hands because they felt that Eluisa had sacrificed herself to protect them all this time, and she was also a victim of the tyranny of their uncle, who was an accomplice of the Imperial family.

"I'm sorry I got so angry just now. I just don't agree with you returning to the Libelia continent just because of that woman's vision. I have no family left except you three," Eluisa said.

"I understand, Sis, but if we stay here, the Hellion will run rampant in the world and eventually destroy us too," Leon said.

"That's right, Sis. Leon, Livia, and I have to go, not to save the world, but to save our lives. I don't want anything to happen to you," Lucia added.

"That's why I'm asking you to trust us, Sis. Our reason for fighting is not because we have to, or because of destiny, but to protect our peaceful lives here," Livia added.

Then Leon, Lucia, and Livia stood up. They summoned their respective weapons, which emitted a bright light, forcing Eluisa to shield her eyes with her arm for a moment. Then Eluisa saw Leon holding the trident spear belonging to Cronus, Lucia holding the massive sword belonging to Soranus, and Livia holding the twin single-bladed axes belonging to Terranus.

"The three of us are truly the reincarnation of the King and Queens from 1,000 years ago. The three of us remember our past lives," Leon said.

"For the three of us, the war 1,000 years ago feels like just yesterday. We closed our eyes 1,000 years ago and were born in this era as triplets," Lucia said.

"Please, Sis, trust the three of us. We will definitely come back to you," Livia said.

Eluisa was frozen and couldn't say anything, but her face softened, and it was as if she understood that she couldn't stand in the way of her three siblings' destiny. Finally, she smiled and stood up. Then she hugged her three siblings, who returned her embrace tightly as their weapons disappeared.

"Alright, but you have to promise to come back here. I will always wait for you here," Eluisa said.

"We promise, Sis," Leon, Lucia, and Livia replied in unison.

Eluisa was sobbing heavily, while Lucia and Livia were also shedding tears. The four of them continued to hug, but suddenly, a loud commotion was heard outside their house.

The four released their embrace, then ran out of the room. They saw Mariana and Isabel standing and looking out the window. Leon, Lucia, Livia, and Eluisa went up to them and also looked out the window. Their eyes widened as they saw a force of soldiers wearing armor, consisting of about 30 to 50 people, lined up in front of the village. Their leader, a fully armored knight on horseback, was in the center of the formation and appeared to be giving an order.

"Vanadias Imperial soldiers," Mariana muttered.

"They really did follow us all the way here," Isabel added, getting ready.

Mariana immediately turned to look at Eluisa and held both of Eluisa's hands, startling her.

"Please forgive Isabel and me. We didn't mean to cause this chaos by coming here. We will surrender ourselves to them so they don't bother the villagers," Mariana said.

"Calm down. Don't be rash. My husband and the village chief can definitely handle it," Eluisa said.

Eluisa turned to look at Leon, Lucia, and Livia, then she nodded and smiled. Of course, the three returned Eluisa's nod and turned around.

"Ten people each?" Leon asked.

"Haha… of course," Lucia answered.

"Okay, as soon as they start attacking, we hit them from the flanks," Livia replied.

"Yeah, that was my plan, too," Leon replied.

The three immediately prepared, then ran out of the house and quickly jumped onto the roof, observing what was happening in front of the village and ready to help if anything unexpected occurred.
