Scene 1: The Unknown Face
[Location: Seoul University, Central Library. 1:30 PM. So Hye is studying. Jin is waiting in the car.]
(So Hye is immersed in her Economics book in a quiet corner of the library. Suddenly, a long shadow falls across her study lamp. A hand gently places a cup of Green Tea Latte next to her.)
UNKNOWN BOY: (In a light, gentle voice) Are you Kim So Hye?
(So Hye looks up, startled. A boy is standing in front of her. He is not as tall as Jin, but he has curly hair, dark eyes, and a gentle smile. He is simply dressed in a T-shirt and jeans. He doesn't look like he's from her batch.)
SO HYE: (Slightly uneasy) Yes. Who are you? Were we supposed to meet?
UNKNOWN BOY: (Smiling, his ease makes So Hye feel uncomfortably attracted) I am Park Hyun Soo. I'm in Business Administration. Your friend, Jieun, sent me. She said you can't study without a Green Tea Latte, and she's busy with the professor right now.
SO HYE (Internal Monologue): Wow. His hair is so curly. And his eyes... why is he staring at me? (The Forced Crush moment begins. She forgets Jin's strictness.)
SO HYE: (Stuttering slightly) Oh, thank you, Sunbaenim (Senior). But you didn't need to... I...
HYUN SOO: (Laughing) It's no trouble at all. Jieun told me you were very important to her. (He emphasizes the word her). I apologize, I have to go. I'm late for my Kokoah (Academy). Focus on your studies, So Hye-yah.
(Hyun Soo turns around and walks away, without any further conversation. So Hye is stunned. He called her 'So Hye-yah', which is very casual and informal.)
SO HYE (Internal Monologue): So Hye-yah? Why did he take my name that way? Was he about to ask me out?
(She looks at the cup of latte. She knows she should tell Jin, but she suddenly feels like she is keeping a secret. A small smile appears on her face. She sips the Green Tea Latte. The atmosphere in the library is filled with suspense.)
Scene 2: The Brother-Sister Cute Moment
[Location: Outside the University Gate. 5:00 PM. Jin has come to pick her up.]
(So Hye walks out of the University gate. She is thinking about Hyun Soo, with a slight smile on her face. Jin's car stops at the gate. Jin is already out and waiting. He looks incredibly powerful and attractive, as always.)
SEOK JIN: (Slightly annoyed, but affectionately) Aish, why do you walk so slowly? I've been waiting! Is your bag heavy?
(He immediately moves forward, picking up her bag without asking. So Hye finds this sweet, because he always does this, as if he is obligated to take care of her.)
SO HYE: (Laughing) Why do you act like my secretary? I can carry it myself.
SEOK JIN: (Pushing her toward the car) You are more than a secretary to me, Bulldog. Carrying your bag is a workout.
SO HYE: (Sitting in the car) Did you eat anything today? Why do you look so tired?
SEOK JIN: (Sitting in the driving seat) Yes, there were meetings. Now that you are next to me, I feel better. (He looks at So Hye and becomes calm.) You look very happy today. Did something good happen?
(So Hye's expression immediately hardens. She lies.)
SO HYE: No, nothing. Just the professor liked my thesis idea. That's all! (She quickly changes the subject) Can we have Bulgogi tonight?
SEOK JIN (Internal Monologue): She is lying. Her heart is pounding. I just saw the GPS signal of Park Hyun Soo near the library. Who is this boy?
(Jin smiles, but his eyes narrow dangerously. He checks the GPS tracker, which is now marking Park Hyun Soo's location. The suspense is at its peak here.)
SEOK JIN: (In a slow, controlled voice) Yes, of course. We will have Bulgogi. And... if anyone tries to approach you... tell me immediately, okay, So Hye-ah? I am your Protector.
