Chapter 1 - chapter 1: Truck-Kun!!!

The soft glow of my phone lit up my dark room as I lay sprawled on my bed, scrolling through the latest chapter of Reality Quest. The blanket was twisted awkwardly around my legs, but I couldn't be bothered to fix it. I was too absorbed in the action unfolding on my screen.

Ha Do-wan had just narrowly escaped another absurd situation by the skin of his teeth, courtesy of his system's convenient skills. With a flick of my thumb, I reached the last panel—only to be met with the dreaded words:

"To be continued."

Great. Caught up again.

Sighing, I switched over to Lookism, the manhwa about gang life, fighting, and school bullying. After finishing a couple of chapters, my stomach growled loudly enough to snap me out of my binge-reading trance.

"Alright, alright… I'll feed you," I muttered.

I got up and walked over to my fridge, only to find it depressingly empty. Not even instant noodles.

With a groan, I slipped on my shoes and headed out to grab some food. But before I could even reach the convenience store—

BANG.

A blinding flash. Screeching metal. And then—nothing

When I opened my eyes again, I wasn't on the street.

I was standing in an endless dark expanse. The void stretched infinitely in all directions—silent, oppressive, yet strangely calm.

I slowly turned in a circle, taking in the nothingness.

"Yep," I muttered to myself. "I've died."

Shaking my head, I let out a long exhale. Whatever happened… happened. Worrying wouldn't change anything now.

"You are correct."

The voice echoed across the darkness, but before I could respond, a blinding flash of blue light cut through the void. Pieces of… pixels? Light fragments?—floated upward like broken glass in reverse.

And then he appeared.

A tall guy with messy blond hair, a chaotic grin stretching way too wide, and a massive golden sword slung casually over his shoulder. His T-shirt literally said "PRAISE GOD."

He looked less like a divine being and more like a gamer who just unlocked a cheat code.

My jaw dropped.

Bro… is THIS the god?

He waved cheerfully, like we were old friends. "Yep! You died! Truck. Boom. Splat. My bad!"

Despite the overwhelming absurdity, I felt my heart race—not with fear, but excitement.

This was exactly like the fanfics I used to read.

"Holy— you look way different from what I imagined," I said, unable to keep the grin off my face.

"Haha! I get that a lot." He gave me a thumbs-up. "But hey, perks of being omnipotent. I can look however I want!"

I couldn't help but stare. The sword. The outfit. The aura. He was like a mix of a final boss and a speed-runner who skipped half the game.

Then he leaned forward, smile turning mischievous.

"Since I accidentally killed you, I'll give you two wishes. Anything you want!"

My excitement spiked instantly.

This was it. My moment.

In a world where every cliché had suddenly become real.

"I want to be reincarnated into Lookism," I said quickly. "First generation timeline."

The god pointed his sword at me dramatically. "Granted!"

"And my second wish… I want the same system Ha Do-wan has—except without the penalties when I fail quests."

"Ohooo?" He raised an eyebrow. "Going for the broken build, I see. I respect it."

He snapped his fingers.

"Both wishes granted. Have fun, kid!"

The void shattered into light.

And I fell.
