Chapter: The Red Cult
After staring at her for a while, trying to make a decision, he finally looked up at the players.
'Red Players. If I was a normal player, these are the kind of people I would try my very hardest not to cross paths with. They are everywhere, which sounds normal until you learn they are all connected one way or the other.'
He narrowed his gaze, analyzing the threat level.
'If I had to guess, this girl here is probably being hunted by them. Knowing how realistic this game is, I would not write off the fact players can kill other players for sport. Still, when you die, you return back to the game a week later or respawn at the nearest temple. Her reaction here is a bit too much.'
Kai assumed she had to be one of those unemployed gamers that poured too much emotion into a game, just like he was in his former world.
And just as much as he did not want to get involved with any Red Players, there was one thing that changed his mind pretty quickly.
